Brief Lton lunch time roundup (sorry I don't have a lot of details... I had a really good memory until turning 26 and it hasn't worked properly since - most dudes get a gut at that age, but instead I lost my awesome memory) Myer had (all?/some?) Lego board games marked down $5 (not many left - and none of the ones I was interested in were left) and a whole bunch of other sets too. The Lego has moved AGAIN to another part of that area, and there's not much of a range currently. Target had no markdowns (everything full price but a really good range of many themes), and all minifigs are GONE. No sign that they were even there either, so I'd say that's it. 3.5 boxes in 1 week - but I'm happy, I already have the 2 I was after. They've restocked all the games. Toyworld still have 4 or 5 Kingdoms advent calendars, good amount of games, a handful of markdowns. 1 box of series 2 minifigs on the counter, only 1 bag left! There was a "x limit per customer" handwritten sign on the box. Place was busy so I couldn't quite see what the number was, but forget it anyway, as there was only 1 left. Forgot to mention before, not sure if they were there today (was only doing a quick scan) but there were architecture sets in Birchall's not long ago. Freaking expensive so I didn't take much notice of them - just realised I've never noticed them anywhere else.

I think this point is probably the main reason. Often the photos are tiny or blurry or the set isn't finished yet. Let's take for example the SP3 sets (top example Undercover Cruiser) from this year. When preliminary pics came out, there was a lot of "oh this looks crap" "I won't bother getting this" etc but when the official images were released the sets were much better than people were first saying. I bought them all and thought all 5 were very good sets. (Better than the previous year.)

Pretty good considering what's available! I'd like to see a bigger moustache, round gourd, white wings & big nose but he looks great as he is, well done.

Of course, this kind of reasoning puts the female Jedi at the bottom of the pile as they pretty much have no armour...

re Greedo: I feel vindicated, haha! Real hardcore Star Wars fans enjoy this show and the movie trilogies, warts & all. Forget those stuck-in-the-80s stiffs that only like OT! I liked the episode too, and despite being an anti-fan of Jar-Jar Stinks, his character served its purpose here. I preferred his voice in this episode to most of the other ones he's been in. Exactly. I only recently watched season 1 again, and it makes perfect sense. The republic also only got food + medicine supplies in, not troops to fight the separatists off. So it was really only short term "help" - and they needed more again later (hence Cham Syndulla being pretty p*ssed off in Ryloth trilogy). Make sense? And guys, come on, it's war. People are gonna die - including awesome characters. "Many that live deserve to die, some that die deserve life - can you give it to them Freddo Frodo?"

The "debris" was somewhat less chaotic and shrapnel-like on this occasion, and more like structured pieces of something... the eye of a jedi might pick this sort of thing up. Plus the ships just seemed to disintegrate rather than hold together for a time before exploding - arousing suspicion. When you're suspicious you keep your eyes open for anything else unusual. At least besides the movie we haven't been to Tatooine (as far as I recall). Every movie had @!#&@ Tatooine again and again.

Finally got to Target after the recent sightings of series 2 minifigs. 1 sealed box, 1 nearly sealed box that probably still had all figs in it, 1 mostly if not completely full open box & 1 partly emptied box. Only barcodes I wrote down were witch & vampire. First bag I checked was the witch. 10 or 11 bags later I found a vampire. Don't know about [ancient historical warrior] as I don't know the barcode for it. I assume the two boxes at the back still had 3 in each. $3.75ea (as expected) in the Lego section. Games running thin - only Pirate Code (hadn't seen it there until a week ago), Magicus, the robot one & one of the pyramid shaped games left. The cheap one I think. No sets marked down. Also went to the police station, but they didn't have my keys.

Or me, I'll put them to good use. So, yeah, I finally got around to looking at my Kingdoms sets for the first time since before this thread started and out of 6 potentially "pink" minifigs, 3 are printed double-coat & 3 are "pink"! As are 2 of the 3 horse barding pieces. It's not really noticeable from a distance - I'm not fussed. On the same note though, I looked at my Royal Knights (1995) and there were 5 with the shield on a red torso - all 5 were "pink", as were both the kings & the horse barding. I wonder if Lego would be willing to send replacements for them, haha! Now, what about the Kingdoms Dragon Knights with the quartered design? What colour are they supposed to be? Green & white? Because all of mine are dark green & the green version of pink. (If you know what I mean!)

Haha I know the Asian population of England is increasing rapidly, but I had no idea that English was no longer the official language... edit: I just noticed where the language setting says "English" so maybe it's a different version of English...

Yep, I'd say so! I do pay particular attention to detail, but I often don't care - if it's a bit wrong I can use my imagination to ignore it. If it's way off (like they were painted purple and were sideways) then in that case I reckon I'd ask for a replacement!
