Haha, I don't know why they chose "unit" that was just my suggestion as to why. I suppose the idea of the theme is less "we gonna kick some alien ayuss" (force) like Starship Troopers and more like "we must study and defend against these life forms that are invading our planet" (unit) so it's less army-like and more science-like?

Alien Defence Unit. Less aggressive name than Alien Defence Force. It was printed on something in a photo I saw yesterday, either a display card or on the HQ vehicle itself. My memory is vague these days.

Just some obs from the new set of pics in addition to what I've already read from others: Alien Abduction set price is $2x.x9 - going by the other prices should we assume it is $29.99? There are a lot of different trans- colours in these sets. Alien in the Mothership has a lime green blob instead of legs, same or similar to the squid warrior from Atlantis. There appears to be a very high frequency of those cool blasters I haven't seen before, but I don't get into action themes so they mightn't be new. The alien pet thingy actually fits over a head with a hairpiece, you don't have to remove the headgear which enhances playability and makes it a bit more realistic looking.

At one stage in some images I thought I saw some blank microfigs in the green colour - later I saw green ones with the orc (troll ) face. I am wondering if this is what he means, maybe some preliminary pics they were faceless or maybe it was an illusion.

Haha. That movie was quite curious! As I have all my sets built, I HATE having multiple kings. I have 2 Crownies & 2 Royal Knights kings already. 1 I pretend to be the real king, the other is his decoy. Will TLG do it? No. Should TLG do it? No. Can TLG do it? Yes. Do I want TLG to do it? No: they already did it with forestmen when they brought out dark forest - and ruined my favourite faction. Best to let bygones be bygones - mere nostalgia is better than an unsuccessful revamp. Take a look at movie, TV show & band reboots. Most of the time it would've been better to leave it be. They do it because they'll make money, but most consumers are left with a bittersweet taste eventually - full of regret.

I had an inkling that might be the case, but I think if so it would've been a lot less confusing & troublemaking had these episodes been aired together as a "movie" (although yes I concede it's possibly impractical) - so there wasn't this 2 week period between the start & end of the "don't touch my canon" fanboy reaction.
