NOT IF I BUY ALL THE STOCK FIRST... Taking a closer look at the mill set (great box pic by the way, thanks!) I have to agree with others: frankly the goats & chickens don't look like Lego to me. Neither do apples btw. Pigs are borderline for me - from what I can tell so far the buckets are too. Might change my mind when I see them.

Haha, yeah in a perfect world I would have time to play with my Lego too! Unfortunately my medieval world is continually war torn, so all the civilians live inside the castle for protection. All the armies do these days is stand guard at the castle, just in case an enemy comes to attack and enslave them. (Which used to happen regularly when I was younger.)

Static electricity? Vacuum cleaner?

Maybe there's someone out there who builds an army of blacksmiths to sell them to. I have no need for so many boring civilians! YAWN (I also have no room for so many civilian sets what with all my armies & castles... and spaceships...)

It is a good one, but this pic really makes Darth Vader look quite short! Isn't he meant to be tall? Now that TLG have those longer legs could he have them? I suppose the longer legs would make him look a bit strange in proportion to all the other SW minifigs though. Just a thought.
-
Yeah I meant to say that too...

I thought the Dragon Prison Escape would be bigger & more awesome... but with MOUNTED DRAGON KNIGHT WITH BARDING & OVOID SHIELD I think I will just have to buy an armful of this set! The others look pretty cool and interesting etc, but not so good for army building. 1 each will suffice for me.

I give up. I'm impressed! Really interesting uses of minifig legs. The rock is amazing, and I also like that the tree house is a different brown to the actual tree. That is far more realistic. edit: Internet is being crap and multiposted everything

Haha, can see your fingers reflected off the Lego... Seems like ages since I built this set - last year! -
Yeah, would've been made with a plain white torso, plain white legs, and the hairpiece (if it actually existed in '77 - it was introduced in '79) would've been black or brown. The blaster was introduced in '82, and the tap piece in '84. Funnily enough, the round plate wasn't introduced until 1980 either so these minifigs would've been WAAAY ahead of their time in 1977! edit: oh yeah, and the minifig torso, legs & standard grin head weren't introduced until '78 either... how did we miss that!

I'll start by saying it's pretty good already. Let's see... you could mix up the path colour a bit more, like throw in spots of different browns, tans, even some small bits of rock or puddle? See if you can make the walls less flush (since you've mixed up the colour a little already) - an interesting technique I've seen is to use headlight pieces and place tiles on the studs to make the wall jut out a tiny bit here and there. Maybe some small holes near the bottom or stones that have been knocked out? You've got holes in the roof... Some rope or chain wrapped or hanging from a beam or something? Wall mounted torches (in use or not)? Broken stuff on the ground? You've made a good start so far.

Whoa, that was weird. Kinda like Star Trek meets Stargate meets 90s sci-fi/fantasy movie. Interesting theme music right at the end... -

Stopped by Myer on impulse - 1 opened box of series 3 minifigs. Apparently it arrived today (along with a bunch of other stock) - and there appeared to be close to 60 packets in there. I'd (conveniently) lost my dot code sheet last time I went looking (unsuccessfully) so I had to go by memory & feel. Memory I can handle, but feel I find rather difficult. After 40 minutes or so I finally confirmed the shape of an ovoid shield and my life was complete, haha. For some reason I also bought some SW battle packs: 2 clones & a Mandalorian. 3rd one free. Apart from Ninjago and the more recent Star Wars releases there wasn't much that looked newish. No log cabins, sorry! Couldn't be bothered going anywhere else after that, I just wanted to open my elf... -
Haha... Ah, the beast (battrax)! For such a huge cockpit it's bizarre that only 1 minifig fits in it. I moved some of the pieces around in mine so it could seat 2.

It should probably be Legonader in that case. Where the n came from I don't know however.

haha not anymore, now I've taught him all I know. Now HE is The Master. I could probably look this up somewhere but I'm too lazy & I haven't read it in here so maybe someone else will be wondering (or maybe I have a short memory): anyone know when these discs will be released?

I went for a bit of a drive, hit 7 department stores. The only one that even had a good amount of Lego was also the only one with series 3 minifigs. 3 opened boxes, probably about 50% remaining. Could not find an elf (only figure I want 1 of - I have all the others I want already), but then again my bag feeling wasn't really concluding anything other than "that accessory does not feel like a bow or shield but I have no idea what it is". I'd memorised the particular dot code... -
Keep them coming...

The Blu-Ray one was really good too. A nice alternative from the far too common not-funny "comics" this topic contains. Observation and observational humour are not actually the same thing, guys. You need to show some wit, some cleverness. Taking a photo of a minifig wearing a hat then adding a caption "he doesn't like to get sunburnt" is not funny, but seems to be the exact formula a lot of these so-called "funnies" use. I encourage some of you to try a bit harder at your humour. Some of you are doing well though, I'm enjoying those ones. Quite a few have made me laugh too.

Not limited to the battle packs at all.

I believe Savaage hasn't completed his training yet, & his defence is far from solid, therefore Dooku could easily throw lightning at him even in his sleep. It showed how powerful and learned in the dark side of the force Dooku is compared to his apprentices. I enjoyed this episode. Plenty of action, revealing more of a few characters, but not enough Saesee Tinn though. He didn't even get a line (just like the movies!).
