  1. I had a bit of spare time so I translated the german quotes: "The story of Alien Conquest is invented by Lego itself and deals about aliens coming to earth to steal the intelligence of the people. This happens by setting themselves on their head, and suck the intelligence so to speak. And people have created an alien defense unit to prevent it. The first TV (??? that's what she said! ) article is the great alien spaceship with a rotatable outer wheel and a wonderful sound effect. When I turn the wheel there is a sound of a real UFO, so to speak. The second article is called the mobile defense headquarters which offers many ways to play. We have a large vehicle that can also be parted in the vehicle and the trailer and the trailer can finally completely be separated from it. In the front there are also four missiles which can be fired at once - I will shortly show - and here we have the launch pad for the aircraft. Also this part, I can take down, so that from the original vehicle a proper National Defense is created. In the front there is another highlight, the so-called prison capsule for the aliens. In this they can get caught to be finally accurately examined in the laboratory." So it seems you were absolutely right, mahjqa!
  2. Yes, I remember that!
  3. It will be me and my son from 1st to 5th of June. Excitement ON! So Holodoc +1 1-5
  4. I was one of the few who had the chance to meet this friendly member in real life at our event in Günzburg 2009. I'm really shocked to see that he left us forever. I sincerely hope he is at a better place now. People step into our lifes and accompany us for a while. Some stay forever because the leave traces in our heart. Thank you so much Dieter, we will never forget you!
  5. We can do a little Karaoke if we go by car together again. I'll stop by Boney's house and sing him to the ground. To be honest: I didn't find the best way to get to Windsor so far. Plane: at least 150€ per person (my son will most propably join me this time again) Train: At a first glance I wasn't able to get the information I wanted. Car: Maybe the best solution, because it's so much fun to travel together!
  6. Wohoo - Nice story, Exile! Yes, yes, yes! Any news about upcoming sets, especially this one?
  7. The current plan of upcoming events is as follows: Every second year we visit the motherland of Lego, Billund. Every place in between will be Günzburg/Germany and Windsor/U.K. in rotation. This year we visit Windsor, next year we will be back to Billund and after that we return to Günzburg again in 2013.
  8. Good news for you, Kim! The same changes are planned for Legoland Germany as well! The spare spaces in Günzburg are going to be filled with the same SW Episodes like you mentioned. So it's "just" 2 years waiting for our next event in Germany... The facts (according to the official star wars fan club magazine) known so far: - approx. 1.5 mio bricks used - 2000 models (both like Carlsbad) - 7 themes (see above) with 20 m² each - opening June 2011
  9. Our event is quite different to all the other AFOL conventions: Normally it's all about MOCs, we like to spend our time visiting the Legoland parks, talking about our favourite hobby and having fun in general. You may of course bring your MOCs, but that isn't obligatory. Our activities may not all be Lego related (minigolf, jelly spitting, bowling...) but be sure to have a real great time with us! To find out more, I propose you browse the events subforum for the "reviews" about our last events. Some examples: 2010, 2009, another 2009. Then you will gather a nice impression what our events are all about. If you still have questions, don't hesitate to send me a PM.
  10. Absolutely amazing series! Sooo much better than series 3! Wait... okay more money to spend on this. But worth every cent. May I point out who kicked them out of the WC?
  11. Wohoooo! Definitely for that!
  12. Nice idea there, spacepilot! I was able to get the holiday train in Billund this year and I'm thinking of motorising it. Thank you for the inspiration. I'm still not sure if I prefer 9V over the PF or not. For the IR receiver problem: Wouldn' t be "normal" 45° slopes better instead of the curved ones? Greetings from the very western part of the country!
  13. Thanks for the fast review, tin7_creations! Good to see some closeups of the new dog. I really like it. By the way - it was time to get a new mold for the old dog. And the new car is better than the one belonging to the police HQ. Thanks for the comparison.
  14. Now make them flesh! They are licensed after all...
  15. Here's the link to the Fanwelt website. It still says "Detailed program table coming soon." Well - three weeks to go - they should start working on it! If you want to register - head over here. Yep! Me. Together with my two sons. We'll be there on Saturday, 20th. Shoot me a pm to fix a place/time if you'd like to meet us.
  16. Happy birthday to both of you! Have a great day.
  17. Cool! There's a V&D in Venlo... I think I'll ckeck what they have on stock this week. When is this offer going to expire?
  18. "Please state the nature of the medical emergency."
  19. Nice work, Siegfried! One thing I'm missing right know is a price information. It would be very helpful to see the official price at the time released. This could be taken from S@H. I don't think we need an actual price guide (on our site). EDIT: I just found out this wasn't included in the sets I searched so far , but generally it IS included to the database. Sorry.
  20. 164.93032 number of unique transparent items in my Lego storage.
  21. Thanks for the info, Sava! Just like always I downloaded it and now I'm looking for some time to read...
  22. I think your ideas belong to the city ideas thread here. All what you are writing about is just your thoughts and wishes. Nothing I can see in the latest replies is for sure. Just wishing well. Shouldn't we stay on target and talk about real upcoming sets instead? Thanks!
  23. Do you know if this offer is valid for other V&D's as well? I have the one in Venlo around my corner...
  24. No, TLC is not overreacting. It's all about the confidential stamp all over the pics. It is sky clear that uploading these photos is simply ILLEGAL! And spreading these around the net is nothing else. And not having reacted in the past years does not show anything. If I was the manager in charge at TLC (and leaking pics were a serious issue to their sales figures) I would even sue the people uploading the photos.
  25. I just voted 10/10, but for the hairpiece... ...shouldn't it be tan or dark tan instead of the Weasley colour? And for this reason I'm pretty sure we will see this particular hairpiece in exactly this colour in some set in the future.
