  1. I wouldn't bet they speak English well, but I should fit your needs. The prices are to 99% S@H prices, don't expect to shoot a bargain there. IF they have the exclusives (see post above).
  2. Hello diddada and welcome to Eurobricks! Digging up a 4 year old topic may not have been a good way to introduce yourself... Especially when it is about LLDC Berlin and you are asking about the LLDC Duisburg. But to answer your question: No, I haven't been to Duisburg lately. But I have been there 2010. The palette on the shelves is rather limited. So I guess you won't get Exclusives there (Pet Shop or MAERSK train for example). Maybe you want to phone them? ++49-(0) 203- 570 888 0
  3. Guess who will be missing you too... Hopefully our photos will keep some of your sadness away. Do we have a date for next year?
  4. The friendly lady on the phone told me, the PF motor will be available in October again. She didn't know the reason it went off the shelves but told me to ask for it. She is going to call back next week, hopefully I can tell more then.
  5. Okay, you have seen all the numbers now. As promised here's the link to build it yourself: *click me* Those numbers are good for birthday celebrations, cake toppers, whatever... days to go!
  6. Good you asked. I hope there will be a bus going to Heathrow ... on Sunday.
  7. I'm still planning to accompany you. My plane arrives at 9:25 a.m. in Gatwick as you might have already noticed. Depending on Sir Norman Ray and the plan he had for this day , I can either join you in Windsor or London City. Wohoo - we're getting closer!
  8. The last number: and all of the numbers in its full glory: ... but stay tuned, there's more to come!
  9. Sorry, late again : Two weeks to go, Yippiee!
  10. The country stated below your avatar has changed to United States???

  11. Never judge a set by the box... (this rule counts for may other occasions as well)
  12. Opps, I'm quite late Nevertheless, number 5:
  13. Travelling for you inside UK is a problem??? Guess how easy it was for all foreigners. My plane departs at 2:30 pm on Sunday. Guess I will be one of the latest...

  15. From now on one per day: Come on, update the frontpage, Bonaparte!
  16. The next 2 numerics:
  17. You all asked for it , here we go: 20 days until our event will start on thursday, 2nd of June. (If you don't have any idea what I'm talking about, head over here.) I am so excited this year that I had to start with 20. The inventor of the numbers is Rene Hoffmeister, I'll post a link to the building instructions when all numbers have been shown. Here are the first two:
  18. Way to go! May I ask you if you could get me one copy of all the mini sets mentioned here? Of course i will pay you for all the newspapers and Lego.
  19. The train motor 88002 was available in Germany (I immediately bought one when it became avialable), now it is sold out. I wanted to phone S@H anyway, so I'm going to ask them about the motor as well.
  20. Okay, okay I'm shutting up. Countdown started!
  21. Good point! If there's any space left, I'll bring my spares, too. This leads me to 2x2 tiles. Remember Superkalle and his famous tile-board (see below)? I'm still looking for some of those. This is how far I got: And this is how it should look like : So whoever has some of the missing tiles laying around - you know whom to make happy, I'm generous moneywise.
  22. Good to read that, but it's getting hotter and hotter at my place!
  23. Thanks for a nice review and so many detailed closeup shots, Brickster! The set now appeals a bit more than it used to, but one thing really is a thorn in my flesh: Why did they used such blocky windows??? It's entirely rectangular. That may be authentic in some lighthouses, but all the ones I know are round. They could have taken the good old "macaroni" brick 3063. It was made in transparent as well (okay, last time it was used on the Santa Fe 9 years ago) and would have made a much smoother shape. That one thing annoys me so much I'll refuse buying it (besides I don't want to include any marina themed set to my city due to lack of space...) EDIT: I saw TLC used red and white macaroni bricks! Why, tell me why not transparent??? EDIT 2 : I had a closer look at the lighthouses I thought I knew. I have to admit that the glass section IS indeed made of straight glass, not rounded. The thing is they used lots of smaller windows to give the impression it was kind of curved. But still I don't like it. Basta!
  24. Surprise! Both of you are right: The bricks used in the lamp posts ARE transparent minifigure heads! part 3626b
