Okay guys, thank you so much for working this out! As Boney already pointed out, I'm on myself this year again, so I'm a lot more liberal in the accomodation questions. I'm glad with everything you got so far. In my opinion it was the right decision to go for a hotel where we all can gather together and not stay in single B&B's. About the tickets: I want to buy a MERLIN annual pass in Windsor to also visit Legoland Germany this year. Depending on the date of next years event, this would be the best option for the most of us, allowing us to visit Billund next year for free! That's really sad to read KimT... but, yes, family comes first. Well, mostly...

Waiting for our event admin's reply I go and try to convince my son to visit Legoland Germany later this summer with the whole family instead of participating in our event. That would make just 1 bed for me then instead of 1+1 (but a lot more time to spend with you). So the accomodation isn't really a problem for me any more.

8804 LEGO Minifigures Series 4 Cheat Sheet
Holodoc replied to AchillesPDX's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Any news about the European version? Like the last 3 series I don't think the codes will be the same, will they? -
Ouch! That's some serious problem we're facing. If we have to split up in B&B's I will have to join without my son... talking about evening activities... But talking about money, I don't mind paying in advance, too.

According to the online list of Architecture sets, the stores in Germany only sell 21002 - 21005. Sorry, no White House and no Rockefeller Center. And for the 15% thing... I'm not sure that you all know what I'm talking about, so I made a small list what is possible. For example: SW Tantive IV 10198 - 127,50 € Shuttle Adventure 10213 - 76,50 € Tower Bridge 10214 - 187 € Daigon Alley 10217 - 127,50 € Imperial Flagship 10210 - 127,50 € Still not interested? Okay, here are some more offers, found at Kaufhof.de Toy Story 7595 - 9,99 € 7789 - 9,99 € Space Police 3 5985 - 59,99 € 5983 - 19,99 € 5982 - 29,99 € 5984 - 14,99 € Indiana Jones 7197 - 29,99 € City 7642 - 59,99 € Creator 6752 - 39,99 € 6753 - 59,99 € Prince of Persia 7570 - 14,99 € ... does that sound better?
-
Good question. I have to ask, but I fear they don't have those. I'll get back to you as soon as I know. All! Noticed. Finally it's getting started here.
-
I'm wondering... 15% OFF the retail/regular price is NOT something you want to go for? Come on, if you have better offers, let me/us know! Maybe the second best offer is better. Something I want to get rid of: The 10194 Emerald Night Train without the passenger car. So just locomotive and coal tender with complete sticker sheet and buildings instructions and (opened) box in unopened plastic bags. 50 € Technic Set 8868 Air Tech Claw Rig. Complete, working, disassembled with building instructions. No box. 40 € 4 new (and never played with) street baseplates taken out of the set 7280. It's just the crossroads! 10 € for all 4 Technic set 8421. Complete and working set with instructions. No box. Vitrine model in excellent condition. 100 € Too expensive? Although I think I have presented reasonable prices (just take a look at the BL prices) this is no problem - I always like to swap sets. Star Wars sets are preferred (my younger sun starts to show interest for a subtheme I haven't paid too much attention so far...), City is always good. Just make me an offer I can't resist. And finally: If anyone wants Prince of Persia minifigs - let me know.
-
Of course... ... you were the one to get this cool set first. Even when you aren't a townie. Oh, wait - is there one theme you don't collect? Wooha! Envy sooooo ON!

Hi Stash! I'd love to be a part again of the SigFig picture. Although my Avatar has got a new uniform you can use the '09/'10 version. Distinctively you ...

CONTEST: Design a Direct-To-Consumer (D2C) set
Holodoc replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Fantastic contest and even more fantastic prizes! Counting the time I will have in the upcoming weeks I guess I better pass on this one... Good luck to all contestants and like Bonaparte already said - I want to see incredible MOCs! -
Hello, hello everybody, it's that time of year again, when all those beautiful and intelligent members of Eurobricks meet at the yearly event. As you all know this time we will gather in Windsor, England beginning with the 2nd of June. Experience tells us, that the United Kingdom isn't the cheapest place on earth to get Lego. Another reason to open this trading post. This topic is for all eventees to swap, sell and buy sets, decals, Brasso (thanks again, KimT!) , whatever. - If you have some spare sets laying around your place and want to sell them to other eventees, please let us all know! - If you want anything Lego related that one other eventee might have, drop a note here! - If your local toy shop has an interesting offer or other special bargains, we all would be thankful to read about it! Having said this, I'll start with one major offer: March, 26th is the date when Germany is celebrating AFOL late night shopping at the brand stores. I will participate and can offer you 15% off ALL Lego sets available in the stores! I will have to gather the set numbers and have to inform the store before the date in order to let the employees reserve the sets. So everything should be available. But I may not order more than 5 copies of one set! And there is one more limitation: I don't know yet how I will get to Windsor. Flying is money-wise beyond all question, so it's travelling by car or by train. If I go by train there will be limited space to carry the sets! Please take this into account and let me know until March 20th if you want anything. More stuff will follow later.

Thank you very much, dear members of Eurobricks! And sorry for being so late to congratulate you, Athos. I indeed had a great day with a nice party at the end of it. I was quite surprised to receive a Lego set, because it was just a small party and I didn't expect to get anything. Nevertheless it was a set I didn't own so far! Here it is: 6192 Now I'm back in the normal every day business counting the days until our event... Ouch! This brought back emotions and memories... .. too bad you cannot join us this year!
-
Would you please stop pushing me? The trading post will open soon though. Patience is the key word.
-
At least you took the right decision!

Happy birthday, Fangy! One year and many, many bricks older ...

obvious...

First I thought this was a MOC, but your argument hits the nail on the head. There has never been a track piece in dark bley. So I assume it IS a new set. I never thought Lego would release a new cargo train so soon though. And, by the way, what is the small crane on car 2 good for? Don't tell me they want to lift the car with it... Eiker68, where did you get the setnumber from? It is a strange number, like cimddwc posted.

Happy birthday my friend! Don't celebrate too hard - better keep on working on an unforgettable event this year!
-
The only point is: Lukas will have to go to bed earlier than me. Besides that I'm fine with any solution!
-
I did, but I wanted to give him some time to explain it himself. So much for now: Deejay is selling his invention: EDIT: TLC asked deejay not to sell his creation, or better, they insisted in doing so. Deejay then asked me to remove the details here. But let's wait and see what deejay is going to say.

Yeeezzz, am I late or what? Gefeliciteerd met je verjaardag, Teddy! Hope you had a good one - well - a week ago.

It is German. Translation: "Hello, I have built a set to make the switches work with electric motors." Pretty cool I have to add! Would you please explain how you did mechanism behind the grey box? And if it doesn't work to reply in English please send me a PM. (Falls die Sprache ein Problem darstellt, schicke mir bitte eine Nachricht oder eine mail)

Coming with my 12 year old son I don't think we need a seperate room. It worked the last two times in Günzburg, so it shouldn't be a problem in Britain, too!

It's for all those eventees coming from "abroad". For the last events that was about 90% of all eventees. Our dear event admin will take care of the accomodoation then. It's a lot easier this way and it's also a lot more fun staying together! Mmmmh. It looks like it will be very well-arranged this year... Hey, wake up everybody!
