4:0 (in words: Germany four - Argentina zero, nada, nothing, niente!) Sorry, but this has to be: (click on the pic) What a game! The first half I was very worried about the lead, but the second half blew Argentina out of the way. I love the german fans with the sign: "Tschüss Maradona" (good bye Maradona). At least he may keep his arm now. First sentence: Think again. Second sentence: That certainly would be very, very cool! The border is just 10 km away - I would love to watch the match in Venlo! Yes, I was sorry for the Ghanaian team. So close to the win, just 1 Uruguaian hand in the way. That should have taken Ghana to the semi finals! Thanks - you're absolutely right! It's team play over one-man-shows. This is football, not tennis.

Thank you all guys for your very kind comments. I always try to make my MOCs look as realistic as can be. These decals are the cherry on the cake and I will use them more often from now on. I'm currently working on a electric locomotive. Well - I'll keep you updated.

Whatever that may be... no, I didn't use it. I used a transparent self adhesive decal sheet I bought years ago (for those living in Germany: From pearl.de) - and never had use for it. Until now!

Hello folks and welcome to a small MOC I made for the 40th birthday of my brother-in-law. (This was also the first time I have given away a MOC ) He's the owner of a fuel station in my home town and he also drives one of the tanker trucks to deliver oil to private houses. I started breaking up set 3180 (tank truck) to see what I could use for inspiration. Within a short time I realized that there weren't too many bricks useable for it, except for the front and the base. Then I started building the new truck with blue bricks where I didn't have the right parts at hand, followed by 3 BL orders. Some details here and there and I was finished with the build. The red tile was by far the most difficult part to add to the sides. I didn't want to stay where I placed it. First I tried flexible hoses and clips (see photo above), but that didn't work. I ended up in using... can you see it? But what is a truck without advertising? So I made some nice decals and I have to say I'm very pleased with the final model! Now what does the real thing look like? The complete BS-folder. Thanks for watching and commenting.

What uncommon part? The decorated slope that was available in 10 sets before? I can hardly see any other uncommon part. Good call! I'd certainly love that!

Errr... no? Haven't you been a secret fan of Argentinia?

Excuse me, but I have to check in here. The way this member posts is the way he is handling sales and his partners. I'm still pretty pissed by the way he treated me some time ago. And good luck to all interested - you will surely need it!

I was aware of this screw issue when I put my cargo train together. Although I didn't have any problems in opening it I don't think it was a good idea not to use just clickable locks. Metal screws and soft plastic - it is just a matter of time when the plasctic will loosen and not hold the screw any more. My problem solver: I ordered two more Li-Po-boxes.

TLG needs to know what colors are missing in existing elements
Holodoc replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Smart move! But the minifig head has got the item number 3626b - and is available in trans clear! And where did you get the other numbers from? I can only identify different item numbers... (970c00 instead of 148 for example) -
You're absolutely right, Scorpion! Here are some examples of what I would have liked to be sold seperately: 1) 7641 City Corner - the bus 2) 7686 Helicopter Transporter - the motorcycle 3) 7747 Wind Turbine Transport - the turbine / the small car / the truck (especially when not all of the wind turbine can be loaded on ONE truck! ) 4) 7994 LEGO City Harbour - the truck and finally one thing that counts for every train set: 5) 7939 Cargo Train - each waggon/coach should be sold seperately!!!

One further suggestion: Is it possible to include the date of the first post of a thread in the overview? I found this at another forum: Sorry, but it's a german forum. The 3rd column shows the general title (bolded), the title of the topic, the date of the first post and underneath the name of the topic's starter. The 4th column shows the date and time of the last reaction to it, underneath the name. 5th column is the number of total replies and 6th number of total views. Sometimes I read the title of a topic and don't know if this is an old topic or not. Adding the date of starting the topic helps a lot to determine wheter I should click or not.

What, what, what ??? IF the set was a real set, I would call it mediocre! There is nothing special about it! No unusual bricks, just plain and boring. Think about what the set would look like if they had used this or a transparent cabin. Sorry, but sometimes I get the feeling there's too much cheering around here about 'new' sets.

Brave guess - and I believe you're absolutely right! What could be more significant for NY than a big apple?
-
Very well played. And they deserved the 4:2 (both sides). Where exactly was the english team in the 2nd half? Now on to Argentina!

I found this at 1000steine.de from their annual meeting (1000 Steine Land) where the new set was presented:

I second this and would like to add, that clear transparent bricks in general are really cool. Imagine a transparent minifig! The re-introduction of the "big plant leaves" 2417in 'normal' green would be nice. The last set it came in in this color was released 2004! -
It has to be very urgent, then!

So it will be the perfect match on Sunday with two teams who really didn't deserve it with their last match. The german match against Ghana was horrible to look at. A lot of mistakes in the german defense which luckily didn't lead to a goal for Ghana. Good to see almost no cards were given. (The german commentator said the referee was known as a card-player ) Özil nevertheless made a real nice goal! And that is what counts. Well, Australia did win at the same time, so Germany would have advanced without winning this particular match. Now on to England. What did Rooney say, btw.? We'll see about that.

WOW - good to know. Thanks for the info, Copmike! For European buyers this move is very interesting. If you buy from S@H anyway, you can easily add the BJ and save some shipping costs. (If I order all the missing BJ's (9 issues) I will pay 60$ for the mags and 35$ for shipping - and that is the reason why I disclaimed buying it the last years) Funny detail: The direct link works, but if you move 'upwards', the BJ is not displayed any more, just the other exclusive sets. Do you know if older BJ's will be sold on S@H as well?

Good to see Pirate Pete brought up this topic again - how could I miss it? This is so incredibly beautiful, I'm speechless. I always wanted to build a church, but never figured out how to do the roofs. There are plenty points of inspiration in your excellent MOC, thank you so much for sharing. And it has a detailed interior, too! I bookmarked your folder.

That's TLC'S normal behaviour: The license plate reflects the set number. Just look at the recent sets, you'll find it everywhere.

Why bother? He isn't used in the last match of the first round and after that he mey play again. EDIT: The newspaper today told me I am wrong. The yellow and yellow/red cards are kept up until the quarter finals. (A special thanks goes to the spanish referee giving out so many yellow cards during the match Serbia-Germany ) After that all players may play again.

If the first approaches didn't work, PM me.

For today it already looks a lot better than two days ago. Thank you so much for all your ongoing work!
