  1. There are a few assorted pictures in here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/joeljohnson/t...oyfair08/page3/ There's a shot of the inside of the Mobile HQ from Agents in there. So does that mean that Agents was shown at Toy Fair?
  2. So it's not an Argos exclusive then? Well, that's good. There's more scope for offers for one thing. Availability doesn't really make much difference, as there're Argos's everywhere. And at least March isn't too far off. Although my area probably won't get it till mid-Summer |-/
  3. Nice to see some new pics, thanks. Some of the new torsos look pretty nice, and there look to be some decent new parts in there as well. So I can't really comment on things like accuracy without seeing the source material, but I'm impressed. If I like the film, I may get some of these.
  4. Wow! Batbuggy Aww, cute. Taken in context, it's a rather nice little set. A bit kooky, but never mind, I like it. Obviously Bats got dressed in the dark... Jet sub I like it. Like I said earlier, the Penguin sub harkens back to the campy 60s, and that's always a good thing where I'm concerned. The missile in the back of the sub will have to go though. Note how Tim has different hair. I wonder whether thats in the set or whether thats down to the display itself. Hopefully the latter, I like that hairpiece. Also, why hasn't Penguin drowned sat on top of his sub (in the water) as he is? Batcycle I have to say I'm not too keen on the bike itself, but it does look better now than it did in the prelim picture. The new Batsuit's really nice though, even if it's not black. As for the truck, it's a bit wacky, but fun, and Harley's just *wub* Seriously though, how cute is she? Tumbler Hmm, a missile in a ice cream truck. I'll admit I've never seen it before. But the truck itself is nice, and "Uncle Joker's Ice Cream Surprise" made me laugh. The Tumbler itself looks really, really cool. It actually needs less MODing than I originally thought (secretly, I'm disappointed ;-) ). Thanks for the new pic btw Sam.
  5. Heehee :-$ Yeah I guess. I'm not to fussed on him either. Just being difficult for the sake of it. X-D I'd like to see something completely different to the one we've already got. I don't know, maybe something a bit unusual and distinctive like the Justice Batmobile, or something a bit more ordinary like this one from As The Crow Flies. Or something totally ridiculous with a massive fin >:-) And actually, with the new Magna Guard head/cape pieces, and that thing from the AT-TE (I think), it looks like it would be possible to make a small Scarface mold. Just had a look at that, and yeah it does look quite nice. Sort of like a male version of the Cassandra Cain Batgirl suit. As for what I'd like to see, well, I guess a bulky snow-suit (either grey or white), a sleek Bat-armour (maybe in red and black like in Justice *wub* ), a 70s style with the yellow-ovalled symbol... and a 60s TV suit might be nice too. :-D It would be nice to see more UCS Batmobiles, a 60s one like you say was mentioned, mayve a Tumbler, and a 1989 film one might be nice too. *wub* That would be really cool. Extremely unlikely, but very cool nonetheless. Riot gear, eh? That'd certainly be nice, and it'd be a way for TLC to give us some Bat-centric cops without just receycling ones from City.
  6. Wow, there's pictures everywhere! I have to say, I'm liking the Batcycle more now after seeing it properly. Still a bit weird, but not as bad as I though. The Tumbler is very nice, and actually looks quite accurate in a 'simple' sort of way. It looks like Batbrick and I might be getting our new Batsuit after-all. And Harley is, quite frankly, beautiful. The RGS looks so good, which is a pity, because it's unlikely I'll be able to afford it. Besides I've nowhere to put it. As for everything else, it's just nice to see lots more pictures.
  7. Picked up 8114 Chameleon Hunter, 8113 Assault Tiger, 4838 Mini Vehicles and 4837 Mini Trains. Nice sets all of them. Especially 8113. Pity I've nowhere to put them... Also picked up Transformers Alternators Shockblast/Shockwave half price, so not a bad day all told.
  8. Hmm, went shopping, bought some Lego, and a couple of Transformers on sale, then spent the rest of the afternoon revelling in my purchases. Quite a good day actually.
  9. Just to change the direction of this topic slightly, I was given a lift home from the school I volunteer at by one of the teachers the other day. She drives quite dangerously. The seatbelts weren't really working and I don't think the suspension was in good shape either. This was only made worse by the fact that she seemed to be driving pretty quick. But I think what really sums up the car (and the driver) is the torch that my friend found in the glove box... for use in case the cars lights break again! 8-
  10. I was just looking at those screenshots actually, before I came here. I think my favourite has to be this one: See, cutesy innocence. I'm guessing the Fairground level is Joker-centric, and those special abilities sound pretty cool. It also looks like we get a Penguin/Croc team-up.
  11. Well, considering I can only get the first page of each gallery to work, I've not really looked into anything other than Universe, and I have to say I'm impressed. Prowl and Sunstreaker I'm definitely getting, and while the Tankor, Galvy and Onslaught are impressive, I'll probably not be getting them. Although you never know. I'm also gonna get Animated Prowl, and Jazz and Soundwave are pretty nice in a weird sort of way. But how big does Soundwave's guitar need to be? :-D
  12. Yes. There were silver (10), gold (100) and blue (1,000) in LSW. These could be used to buy characters and 'special items' (power-ups), some of which were serious, some not so. LSW also had 'Tru Jedi Status' on each level, which was achieved by collecting a given amount of studs on each level. This was rewarded later on. I'm enjoying watching them all on TV here, BBC4 are showing them. We've just finished Series 1, Series 2 starts next week. I think it's possible. But it depends on how many character, vehicles and scenarios are featured here, and whether or not they'd be able to think up a good story for a second game. It'd bee good if there was though.
  13. It's just occured to me, no-ones posted any TF news from the UK Toy-Fair. TF@TheMoon report And an update I think the word was that the Animated figs are out in the UK around April, and Universe/Classics 2.0 are out late Autumn sometime. In other news, TF2 status is full of contradiction. Bay said that he's written an outline script and handed it to the now-back-at-work writers, and that the character designs had been finished. But Dreamworks is saying that the production status hasn't been updated, and there's still no official studio. Still, whatever the case, we're being promised lots of new TFs in the sequel, but apparantly... no Dinobots/Dynobots :'-(
  14. Actually, it was a pretty close call. And there seem to be an endless number of 'last Lazarus Pits.' :-D
  15. Yes. X-D I don't know actually. He was a main character in Arkham Asylum: Living Hell (not the Morrison one), and recently instigated a take-over of the Gotham underworld in the one of first One Year Later Batman arc. So what do I want? Well, as I said already, more Batmobiles. In fact, scratch that, more repeat Bat-vehicles in different designs. Give us a Batplane (2+ seats), some more Batmobiles (all completely different) and a few other bits and pieces. Oh, and a Batsub, we've not got one yet. Maybe it could be a Batboat that 'transforms' into a Batsub. It'd be nice to see more heroes obviously. Gordon and some GCPD officers obviously. Give us Oracle as well. I'd settle for a Silver Age Batgirl as I could always use her costume in the Batcave, but really I want the modern Babs. Maybe give us a modern Batwoman too. As for the villains, I'd like to see Ras and Talia, as well as Man-Bat, Firefly, Mad Hatter and Ventriloquist/Scarface (Wesker, not Sugar). Other too of course, but mainly these. Wayne Manor is a must too, as well as (at least) a GCPD rooftop with the Batsignal, and maybe some hideouts. Oh, and more Batsuits. Actually, with Batman's 70th anniversary in May '09, I wonder if we'll see any special sets to mark the occasion. Maybe a Golden Age Batman or something.
  16. I don't own that many either, but I'm starting to get more. It's only recently I've started actually buying TPBs/HCs I want rather than just borrowing them from the library and reading them. I have more that it looks like thanks to the CEs, but still... I want more. It's more of that trademark TLC humour that comes through every now and again. Heck, if TLC gave us one, I'd even accept a Bat-Mite. Just for the sheer fun of it. Hmm, what about Ace the Bat-Hound... :-D Well, exactly. I mean, SW was pretty well-researched, IMO, but the level here is amazing, especially given all the different versions of characters, origins and timelines, and then theres the Crises and all the retcons (like Zero Hour). They're really appealing to the geeks on this one. X-D
  17. They're all over levels, sometimes just sat there, sometimes 'inside' smashable objects.' No doubt we'll see plenty of signature moves from characters. Maybe Mad Hatter could have a hypnotising hat a la the 60s TV series? :-D Erm... no. He desn't necessarily have to be playable, a cameo would be acceptable. Then again...
  18. The only enjoyment I got from it was seeing Jason Todd die... >:-) I really don't like him. Besides, I much prefer the 'modern' stories (i.e. post-2000) to anything 'classic.'
  19. Oh yeah, hardcovers are infinitely better than TPBs. They look better, they keep better and they tend to stay open if you let go, which mkes them better for reference. However, TPBs are cheaper and seemingly more easily available, so HCs tend to only get bought if it's something 'special', for example Infinite Crisis. Ah touche. X-D It's interesting how the sets manage to capture the campy 60s TV series and the darker nature of the modern comics at the same time. I mean, how many times has Penguin used a penguin-styled sub lately? Exactly. The Tumbler's windows are certainly a nice touch, seeing as how so many MOCs do have to miss them as you say. There, that's two. That should tide me over for the next post in case I miss it. :-D
  20. Fair enough, but in admitting my weakness, I become more of a man. And at least I know the difference between Morrison and Miller, and Lee and Sale. ;-)
  21. I guess 'no summer sets' is a reasonable decision. If the lines being cancelled, presumably due to it not selling, then why draw it out with more sets that aren't selling? It'll be interesting to see how the end is dealt with in the comics though, see whether we get a proper end or not. I shouldn't think it will. If one of the problems is repetition, then this years Castle is different enough to not be accused of that. I'm not sure if repetition is the main problem though. Sure, the basic storyline was the same all three years, but the setting changed and the designs changed. Having a basic storyline that's the same is no different from the 'Good vs. Bad' storyline every year in Bionicle, or the 'build a viable City' idea in City.
  22. Sound interesting. It's certainly an idea I could see working, as long as it's popular enough. I look forward to seeing how this pans out. As long as enough parameters are defined to make it suitable for a mass group project that is.
  23. Got it in one. #6 was in Batman Legends the other day, and I think I counted about 8 uses of "goddamn" in reference to Bats! I've not played the Complete Saga, so I can't speak for that, but in the original games, all the characters that were used in play were automatically available in Free Play once they'd been used. All other characters encountered were available to buy with the studs collected. In both games, they had a relevant ability. For example, Boba was able to fly short distances with his jetpack, while the Dark Side users had the Dark Side force power. Hmm, there's a thought... *cough*Bizarro*cough* *cough*Batzarro*cough* Actually, that's a point. I wonder if any of the DCUs luminaries will make cameo-type appearances. Supes or Wonder Woman especially.
  24. Oh, I don't know... I've seen worse! :-D No seriously, you're not bad, considering you've only really just started. It needs to be something iconic as well, not just something that's solely visually interesting. You know, from one of the big stories/arcs.
