  1. (space Batman would be kinda neat actually) I'm pretty much going to take that GL keychain as confirmation of a Green Lantern fig coming soon. I might actually buy some of these keychains this time (I usually don't get stuff like that) since they've got 3 of my favorite superheroes: Robin, Flash, and Green Lantern. The big question is which one...
  2. Sorry, this was the best place I could think to ask. Actually, that minifig reminded me a lot of Vibe, so I was thinking about modifying it to become such. Although, after doing some more thorough research, I think I'll have to find something else torso-wise for him. It does still look like it could be perfect for some character, DC or Marvel, that I haven't noticed yet.
  3. Can someone find a picture of any quality of Star Lord's helmet-less hair? That other face for Wolverine to make his cowl work has me on the fence. For one thing, his cowl will only work with one expression. As for the second, I'm pretty fond of them doing that with Nova's head, but mostly because I can use it on other figures (like my purist Wildcat at the moment). You can't do that Wolverine's, because pretty much anywhere you put that, it's going to look like Wolverine. Storm's cape thing is pretty awesome. I'm glad they included that, though I'm not too fond of that kind of fabric, since it sticks out so bad when other capes around.
  4. That X-Men set looks great! I'm a little dissapointed by Storm's hair, but it's still a great figure! Luckily Magneto has that hair has a bitty incentive to get another Magneto. The Guardians sets continue to impress me, though I don't like Groot's size. Hopefully he'll get a less big version later on to look equal to the rest of the team. I'll need a better quality image before that set gets put on my must buy list like the Milano, but it all looks good so far!
  5. PayPal required me to use a bank account, though. Something of which I do not have access to.
  6. Given this is a "Making Of" video, maybe it's just a prototype of a Batmobile design for the movie, before they decided on the megabadass Battank I wish we would've gotten in a set despite the price?
  7. The mask seems like the wrong shape for that to be the case, though. I doubt it would have the Iron Man hinge thing? So when are we likely to see the rest of the Guardians? It seems weird that we'd only see those three and not the most visually interesting and impendingly popular ones, Rocket Raccoon and Groot.
  8. Update: apparently I won't be doing any of that, because BrickLink only works through PayPal, PayPal requires a bank account, and my mother refuses to give me my bank account number because I "have no control". Ugh. So, um, any other suggestions as to where I could find these three pieces and pay with just a Visa card? http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=88284 (in pearl dark gray) http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=973pb443c01 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=30133 (in red)
  9. Good idea, I didn't really think of that! The best part is, I'm really not going to be missing out on any of my minifigs, since I planned on making the new Cap my official Cap and I have a few different Loki staffs. I used a Hermione head instead, though, because it looked a little better. Y'know, we need more girls with masks. Actually, we need more superhero girls in general. We've got Wonder Woman, Black Widow, Batgirl, and soon to be Storm and that's it. I'm really trying to expand my Justice League to B list members from Unlimited. So far (and not all of these are from Unlimited, since I made them before my decision to do this) I've got Question, Wildcat, Sandman, Stargirl, Negative Man, and the Creeper. I'm going to get the parts I need to make Vigilante soon (possibly tonight) but I'd like to get some parts for other folks, too. Maybe Metamorpho?
  10. I wanna make Shining Knight and Stargirl figures, from Justice League Unlimited. Any (specifically fleshtone) ideas? I also found that Catwoman's mask, Nova's head, and an all-black body with white hands makes a pretty good Wildcat.
  11. I've GOT to know where you got this torso!
  12. That set has me more pumped for Guardians than anything! Looks like the film will be VERY visually interesting. Plus, from the word above about them possibly winding up on the planet from Planet Hulk, it makes me anxious for the possibility of a Hulk movie with Mark Ruffalo. Star Lord looks super cool, and that torso could be used for some nice purist figures I believe. I'm really hoping that they make a similar hairpiece to what's sticking out on the top for Star Lord when he's not wearing the helmet. I think I'm going to be leaning more towards the helmetless version, though it does look good. I'm impressed by Ronan especially, since the other pictures made him look plain and black. This has nice detailing, new molds, a very interesting head print, plus a badass little ship. Gamora's hair will make for some nice use on other minifigures (LEGO Hot Topic? ), but Drax has me worried. He looks very pale. Much moreso than his film counterpart. Is this a case of bad printing/concept or has Drax not been eating?
  13. I think that's just supposed to be paint rather than blood. It's all over his ship, too, and you'd need WAY more blood than you'd find in the average creature to put it on there so evenly! Either way, you can use you're imagination and... ;)
  14. I certainly will be getting this for Robin, so Dick, Tim, and Damian will all have their Robin suits. I've gotten enough Jokers, for sure. What are you supposed to do with so many Jokers? At least Batsuits can be put on display in a Batcave or Museum or something, but Joker? I've got nothing.
  15. Toyman looks really good, but might be better with short legs. He tends to be pretty short, especially when lined up against the bad guys in Justice League Unlimited. I've never read any of the Runaway books, but those figs are so cool looking I'm beginning to be convinced to find some!
  16. I've made it a point to buy the Spidey vs. Electro set the second I see it on a store shelf. That Electro fig is just too cool, and my excitement for Amazing Spider-Man 2 has assured me that I will have fallen in love with Electro by the end of it. The Spider-copter is looking less likely, though. I love the figures, but the build is just too cheesy and expensive when I have a Batgirl and Damian Wayne to get. I'll definitely be picking up that Captain America set, too, once I can. The AIM lab is lower on the priority list, but it will happen. Now that the first half of the DC sets (or maybe now that I've gotten the first half of the DC sets), these next two feel so separate. It's like that present you get a few days after Christmas. It's cool and all, but it's not really the same and it feels tiny in comparison. It makes me want another DC wave around the time Marvel's X-Men and Guardians sets come out this year.
  17. Someone who had seen it whose name I can't remember said that there would be another seat in the back a la Quinjet a few pages back. Plus it kinda looks like there's another seat there, too.
  18. That might work. It isn't perfect, but it could very well work.
  19. Just saw the new Guardians set! Looks like a neat build, I'll have to pick that one up! Star Lord is concerning, though, since it looks like his helmet/gas-mask/thingy is just printed on a black head. I'm beginning to think his hairpiece is a new mold, since it looks so different from the stuff we've seen before. Gamora looks to be a much brighter green than I expected. I'm hoping the cloaked guy (Ronan?) will be more detailed upon closer inspection. Who is supposed to be in the seat behind Gamora, though? Is that for Star Lord, or maybe Rocket Racoon or Drax is in this set, too?
  20. Look, if we stop buying the Lego sets when they're all Batman, they'll just think that it's the DC brand that won't sell. That'll only send the message to LEGO. We want to go farther. We have to stop buying t-shirts, hats, keychains, action figures, ANYTHING Batman related. That'll send a message to DC and Warner Brothers. We replace our buying of Batman with the rest of DC Comics, and they'll notice that the other guys are popular, too. Skipping over just the Legos makes all of DC less profitable for LEGO and ruins our chances. I will suggest, though, not buying any sets with JUST Batman. The thing about the traditional costumes, though, is that it doesn't matter to the kids the design. Superman still looks just as recognizable in his red undies as he does in Man of Steel which is just as recognizable as New 52 Superman. Comic book Hulk looks just as much like Hulk as Avengers Hulk does. These little details won't hurt Lego's child demographic, they'll just increase the appeal to older fans. I point to these guys a lot, but Imaginext's using comic book designs for the whole Justice League, even using classic Supes in their Man of Steel playset, and they aren't struggling at all. When it comes down to it, anything with a child demographic only understands success in terms of toy sales, so when you buy classic Cyclops over X2 Cyclops, you're sending a little message to Marvel saying "Hey, I prefer the blue and yellow spandex." Most kids'll buy whatever, just as long as they recognize the character, but if we want more people and kids to embrace the comics we need to make sure the comic book presence is equal too or greater than the movie/TV show/video game presence. I dunno about him looking much like DeVito, but I do agree that a stitched-up Catsuit would be really cool! I'm still not convinced that the Steamroller Joker is capitalizing on Nicholson's Joker as much as it is his Killing Joke outfit (because it would appeal to adults, not alienize kids, and frankly we need to make it look like we're not selling the same guy over and over again)(unless that guy is Spider-Man). I'm a little afraid, though, as to how that Catwoman could look in LEGO. I'm not sure if their cat mask could pull it off.
  21. I was like, half-kidding. We should definitely stop buying Batmerch for a few months to shock DC, because I know that if we get big enough we can really affect the market. Although, I'd suggest doing this after buying the new Batman sets and Son of Batman, because really those are all looking pretty great. After that, it's simple. We kill the Batman.
  22. I've been wanting to make Ultra Humanite with the white gorilla parts for a while, but I've yet to find an accurate enough torso. Something more specific than just red. He needs some kind of sci-fi or military looking vest.
  23. I'd rather see that in minifig scale, personally. I really just want a Golden Age Batman set. The light blue Batsuit with the black printing on the mask, Robin's scaley underoos, purple Batgirl, mustachioed Joker... *sigh* Maybe we oughta just stop buying Batman merch and just buy any and all merchandise of other DC characters. We'll have a nerd strike! We'll all go buy Imaginext figures of The Flash and Black Manta, only buy statues, hats and keychains of Wonder Woman or Cyborg! WE MUST KILL THE BAT-MARKET!!! BURN THE BAT!!!!!
  24. That's a really great Winter Soldier! I'm glad we have these awesome purists to make up for the lack of Winter Soldier sets.
  25. I am almost positive that that was just a rumor. It seems like it would make sense in THEORY but this movie is already overloaded with characters (Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Nick Fury, Scarlett Witch, Quicksilver, Ultron, that other villain whose name I can't remember, as well as a possible Agent Coulson, Agent Hill, Falcon, and now Vision) It's getting too crowded to start introducing characters like that now. We still have Ant-Man, Black Panther, Wasp, Doc Strange, and many potential others to include in the Avengers 3. He might be set up in this story, but I doubt he'll be featured as an actual hero as opposed to an easter egg. HOWEVER a Vision minifig would be super cool. Not quite as high on my list as the other guys we'll be seeing (cough*ANT-MAN*cough)
