  1. They specifically mentioned when they cast him that he wasn't going to be a big deal in this movie, just a side-villain to set up Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. He's got a multi-picture deal, so I'm sure he'll be more important later on, but for now he's not. I would love a Civil War movie, but as iamste mentioned, Marvel doesn't own enough of the important characters to that arc to pull it off. Maybe some day when the X-Men and FF movies start sucking hardcore and Sony agrees to share Spidey...
  2. I'd go for even a smaller set based on the Arkham games. Anything Arkham would fly with me. I'd kinda like to see DC do a themed wave where all of the bad guys are assassins hired by someone to either take ut Batman or the whole Justice League. A big set could have the climax where we get to fight the guy who hired them. Arkham Origins had 8 assassins, I say work with them specifically in their Arkham designs. Or if they want a safer route, Arkham Knight features a good number of Batman's foes teaming up against him. We can get an Arkham Batmobile set with Batsy fighting the likes of Two-Face, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Riddler, Penguin, and finally the Arkham Knight, all in their Arkham designs. For Riddler, I'd go with his City outfit, since this new one looks kinda TOO freaky. Harley's newest design would be perfect, since it's not as *ahem* showy...as her past outfits. Plus we could use a decent pigtails hairpiece. It's pretty unlikely any of that would happen, but boy wouldn't hose comics they include in all the sets be better! Speaking of, I don't see why they don't make overarching set plots for each wave. It would make those comics more desirable, and possibly even push kids in the direction of buying more comics. We'd probably get more varied character choices, too. The GCPD would be interesting, and Wayne Manor is long overdue. I'd love for a Daily Planet set if they made it bigger than the Spider-Man Daily Bugle one, complete with giant golden globe! With the Iron Man 3 sets slowly fading out of stock now that the movie's passed, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a new set with Iron Man. Spider-Man's gotten all but two of this wave's sets, so I doubt we'll get another one of him, so I'd say maybe Stark Tower or the X-Mansion. Or something Guardians related. I did forget about Ultron's army, mostly because I wasn't sure he'd have one. Von Strucker isn't as important to the overall plot, so I doubt he'll make it into a set unless they really need another villain. I also doubt that he'd make it into the Helicarrier.
  3. Okay, we'd have Iron Man Captain America Hulk Thor Hawkeye Black Widow Scarlet Witch Quicksilver Vision Ultron Nick Fury Maria Hill Falcon SHIELD Agent SHIELD Agent And possibly Coulson if he winds up in Avengers 2 as well. That's only 16, which compares slightly better against the Death Star's 24. Then again A. They have far more characters in their movies than Marvel does in just two and B. That would probably make it cheaper, which is a good thing.
  4. Oh no, don't do that to me! I'd never be able to afford that and it would just be too great! Although, as opposed to the Death Star, there really aren't many characters you could include in this thing. The Avengers, including Hawkeye and Black Widow, Nick Fury, Agent Coulson, Agent Hill, Loki, and a few generic SHIELD agents. Maybe Falcon. I doubt LEGO would want to put all of their Avengers characters into one set, though.
  5. Both very good points that I hadn't considered. I think Young Justice called him Deathstroke, too. (Also I need to watch that second season of Mystery Incorporated...)
  6. Thanks! I've done a teensy bit of Marvel stuff. I haven't delved that deep into the Marvel Universe as a whole just yet to do much with them, but I've done some of the more common stuff. Doctor Strange, Maria Hill, an ok Phil Coulson, and the usual Lizard. I did make Spidey-foe Chameleon, though, since he didn't have too many bad guys at the time.
  7. Something about, y'know DEATHstroke. It's sorta what made them nerf that for Teen Titans by calling him Slade.
  8. I'm really surprised we haven't really gotten any kind of unofficial tie-in to the Arkham games. If you really want to you could possibly count the Arkham Asylum set, even though if it weren't for Robin's short cape, hood, and black pants there wouldn't be any connection. I figured that THAT would be a vehicle for a LEGO Deathstroke if there ever was one. By the way, do you guys think they'd be able to call him Deathstroke? Slade is always an option if not.
  9. Y'know, taking the cockpit of the Spider-trike off of that ejector seat thing makes it seem a bit like a jet ski... I think if they're going to keep tapping the Spidey-well, they should at least go for a few more comic-based sets and designs. Spider-Man's popular enough to sell regardless. Maybe we could get a set with Green Goblin and Gwen Stacy in the next wave, once Amazing Spider-Man 2 is in acceptable spoiler territory? (Although, probably not the best set-up for a children's toy...) I'd even go for some Ultimate Spider-Man/Avengers Assemble crossover sets. They've done it the show, and we're obviously not getting in the movies anytime soon, so why not? That'll be a nice excuse to include Iron Spider, with an Iron Man fig to back him up in case kid's aren't into that suit. With the whole Marvel Universe at their hands, I'm surprised that LEGO hasn't done this already with even more characters. Not sure about the Fantastic Four's popularity? Include Future Foundation Spider-Man. Not so sure about doing Daredevil and Punisher? Toss a Spidey in that punch bowl! Loosely try the DC approach: if you're unsure of a character's popularity, include someone you know is a hit. It just sucks that in DC's case, that's always Batman... Speaking of Daredevil, do you guys think that we'll see sets based on the new Netflix shows Marvel's doing? Half of the leads already exist now thanks to Ulti-Spidey, but still. Since these are actual heroes and not just guys in business attire, maybe LEGO would be more willing to do them? I'd love a Baxter Building, or even Doc Doom's castle. The Fantastic Four always seem like this big hole in Marvel's mainstream mythos, I'd say partially due to the god-awful movies and impendingly god-awful movies (and yes, they've announced a sequel to the new Fantastic Four). They seemed to be featured pretty prominently in the LEGO Marvel game and all with existing pieces (well, apart from the Thing, obviously) so maybe we'll be getting the first family of Marvel sometime soon after all? I'm sure they won't let the movie pass without an unofficial tie-in.
  10. XDD Now THAT I would buy!! Honestly this Spider-Trike became the second set I've ever gotten where I just didn't use a sticker, since it would be better on something else later and I can still take this thing apart for the pieces. Funny though, it's hard for me to. Guess I'm a bit of a completionist in that sense. It's not even a tricycle! It has FOUR wheels!!
  11. Thanks, guys! Grifter is one of those B/C level characters I know next to nothing about, but I love him anyway. Please give us some more New Gods, autorazr!
  12. I've got some new guys! First up are some DC heroes, namely Grifter, Metamorpho, Frankenstein of S.H.A.D.E., and the aforementioned Jason Todd Then are some new (new for you, I made Black Mask a long time ago but forgot him when I put up the first pictures) villains, Black Mask and Gentleman Ghost!
  13. I've tried to no success, but could somebody make Kevin Smith? I think the Fat Man on Batman fits the theme here!
  14. I like it! Keep 'em coming!
  15. Hey, Auto, just be glad it's not the Bronies :P But we should probably move on from this before it turns violent.
  16. We've only not seen one of those sets, but we're not in the dark about it. We know what it will be based on and what characters are in it. When more news comes, we'll talk about it. Same goes for Green Lantern. You can only talk about a seed of speculation for so long.
  17. When there's a lack of sets we theorize the next batch. Logically that means that the source material is brought up, and we must discuss the pros and cons of that material as well as past sets to determine what the next ones will be like and how they can improve. We consider what we could see and what we are likely to see. Remember that this is a forum and not a news broadcast; we are here to discuss not just report. Personally I like the liveliness of this thread, and our ability to voice our opinions on all forms of comic-based entertainment. It all feeds back into LEGO.
  18. Expect your Avengers to grow soon to be Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Vision, Falcon, Dr. Strange, Ant-Man, Black Panther, and possibly the Guardians of the Galaxy. I think the bright side of this is that someone working on the Avengers movies in a very important role (Joss Whedon? I can't remember) said that the Avengers films are going to try to mirror the way that you can't look at two different runs of Avengers books and see the same team, which says to me that the movies are going to start pulling in certain Avengers for certain films and putting a lot of others on the bench or in their own movies. I feel like Hawkeye, Vision, and Falcon are probably going to be the first of those to sit out in Avengers 3. A brick-built Hulkbuster would be quite larger than Hulk, but the suit is larger than Hulk anyway. I think they'll go with the Bigfig on this one, though. It's more fitting. In my wildest dreams, the Hulkbuster bigfig would seat an angry Tony Stark in a tank top (it's a giant battle suit with a closed hatch, it's gotta be hot as hell in there) and would have a hinged head that would flip open to pull him out. But alas, LEGO has often disappointed me in fulfilling nerdy fantasies. Does he really? I'm not too well-versed in Marvel, but it seems that giant Hulk-sized Iron Man specifically designed to beat the purple boxers off of Hulk and armed to the teeth would trump Hulk. Is this kinda like the Batman/Superman thing where everyone's like "Superman's got all these powers, he would kill Batman in an instant!" but in reality Batman would beat him into the ground every single time?
  19. Well, given the Hulk is a giant unstoppable rage beast with little to no self control, I'd say you're imagination could fill in those blanks.
  20. That could work. I can't find the other arm to my Indy jacket, so maybe that'll be a decent replacement. YES! It looks so much better with the Tim Drake Robin head and black ruffled hair as opposed to a Deadpool head in place of the Red Hood helmet.
  21. I'm sure that if Hulk and Iron Man are fighting, we are gonna get them in a set fighting each other. That's kind of a HUGE deal. I also doubt that they'd ever make a point to show us just Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and the Hulkbuster fighting Hulk if any of that had the potential to be cut. It's like saying they'd cut the Batman and Superman fight from Batman vs Superman. I was hoping to see some footage or some real costumes on the actors, since they should be ready for that by now. I'm still VERY curious as to how Vision is going to look, since there're really a lot of ways they could go. And if they're filming in Africa, do you think that maybe we'll be seeing Black Panther in one form or another?
  22. Any ideas for what to use this torso for? Preferably DC, but I'll really take anything. I like the look of it and would like to put it to good use. Plus I've got a decent Metamorpho on the way as soon as I fill up another row. 2 and a half more figs and I'll be there (I still need Vibe's jacket). Also, cutting up stickers is still purist, right? If so, does anyone know of any particularly white decals I can get to make Deadman's V-neck and logo?
  23. It's from the Mandarin variant in the Iron Man 3/Flamethrower Golf Cart set.
  24. OMIGOD DID YOU GUYS WATCH MARVEL'S ASSEMBLING A UNIVERSE DOCUMENTARY?? WE'RE GETTING THE HULKBUSTER!! AND SCARLET WITCH AND QUICKSILVER LOOK PRETTY AWESOME!! AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!
  25. Any ideas for a good Mr. Miracle torso? I'm using a plain red one right now, but I'd like to change that. I'd also like to find another pair of green hands, because for some reason only like, 12 minifigures come with green hands.
