  1. That looks good, although I really really hope the new Batman has white eyes.
  2. Where'd your Joker torso come from, autorazr?
  3. Not technically, but they can make any costume that's appeared in the comics. They couldn't do Magneto's outfit, but they could totally do Wolverine's tank top and jeans. Honestly, I think it's time for a new X-Men cartoon. That would get us some new figs, and it's been quite awhile since the last one.
  4. The bare minimum X-Men lineup is Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Professor X, Beast, Gambit, and Nightcrawler. Rogue, Colossus, Jubilee, Iceman, Shadowcat, and Emma Frost are all bonus, but we should see them all at some point regardless. The fact that we've only gotten 2 of our bare 8 so far is a bad sign.
  5. My customs need more color DX I've got some new stuff from the Marvel end. Paddraig's Coulson got me going on a an Agents of SHIELD kick, so I made some of their villains (Blackout, Deathlok, John Garret right before one of my favorite moments in the entire series, Blizzard, and Scorch) and I made an alteration to Nick Fury and a new Maria Hill that won't sacrifice my Katana fig! SHIELD Villains Nick Fury, Agent Coulson, and Agent Hill
  6. Hey, so is Wolverine's mask rubber or hard plastic?
  7. Didn't Killer Croc have a tail in one of the direct-to-video animated DC movies? I specifically remember it because Batman mentioned that he was getting more of the mutagen that turned him into a crocodile-beast and then proceeded to tear of his tail in interrogation. I think it might have been Son of Batman.
  8. I know lots of people have used the CMF Gorilla suit and the Chima gorilla minifigs to make custom Grodds, but not the actual brick-built ape. Also, that is kinda off topic, but it's totally on topic over at the Purist Superhero Figures thread! There's lots of great stuff over there to fill the cracks in the Superhero theme so I encourage you to check it out! How does that match Storm from the movie? That is very much the Storm from the comics. The more I look at the figure though, the less I like it. I'm not even sure why.
  9. Could you get a shot of him off of the motorbike? You really can't see much of me while he's on that thing.
  10. I really loved The Batman. It wasn't afraid to be different with it's interpretations. While I don't think that LEGO should use a whole lot of those designs, it would be nice to see Mr. Freeze like that were we ever to get a fresh variant for him. If they're going to do variants they might as well be very different instead of just wearing a coat (Seriously, Penguin, Joker, Riddler, what's with these guys and jackets?) or being those lame action-figure-y variants like their doing with the Ninja Turtles theme or Arctic Suit Batman. They could just as easily give us some nerdy goodies. Speaking of that flame-head piece, over on the purist Superheroes thread someone had a very good Agent Coulson using a recent head from the new Star Wars sets that fit him perfectly. Almost too perfectly, given it's a head that would normally be covered up by one of those big gaudy expendable Star Wars trooper helmets. Somebody earlier said something about Ghost Rider becoming very easy to purist with that piece in circulation. Maybe LEGO's doing this on purpose? Silently tossing us these perfect pieces for characters that they don't plan on making? Of course, with the new flame-head piece they're going to use that for any number of other characters. Even if this is just coincidence, maybe LEGO should start secretly supplying us with perfect purist parts?
  11. Hey, paddraigphoto, you should try to do the Agents of SHIELD! I really love your Coulson (I just got the parts to make him today) and I'd love to see what you could with the rest of his team!
  12. Yeah, the mancandy Lobo hasn't been very popular. Although, given Lobo was created as a parody of the dark gritty comics of the day, now he's kind of a parody of the over-sexualization of women in comics. Only not really funny from what I can tell. So maybe less parody more justice? Either way, classic Lobo reigns supreme. You're right though, that head would probably work really well. Hopefully LEGO gives us an official Lobo one of these days.
  13. That's actually a pretty great use of that head, autorazr. Has anybody tried that out for Lobo yet? The vampire head always seems to be the go to for him but I think this might be interesting to test out. I don't have the fig or I would do it myself.
  14. Very nice, paddraigphoto! I'm especially loving that Rhino! Actually, all of your Spidey villains are pretty impressive! I think I'm going to have to track down some of those parts! Whose head did you use for Coulson?
  15. I heard rumor that Apocalypse is going to feature Gambit and Nightcrawler quite a bit. Looks like we'll be seeing a Gambit figure sooner rather than later, if LEGO continues to base it's X-Men sets loosely on the movies, so that's pretty great.
  16. I love the suit and the car, although the Bat-symbol didn't translate very well from logo to suit. I'm looking past it though, because we're finally getting a black and grey Batman without three tons of lame armor plating. Plus, we can actually see the Bat-symbol without a yellow backing. Next thing I'm looking forward to is seeing Wonder Woman and the new Batarangs.
  17. Yeah, that Spidey fig next to it looks too awful to be real, so the Goblin one is sadly bogus for sure. It looks great, though. I wish they would've made a minifig for that Gobby.
  18. Mkay, let's go ahead and settle the Robin dispute. THIS Robin is Tim Drake THIS Robin is also Tim Drake THIS Robin is likely Dick Grayson, despite Nightwing existing at the same time in the sets and in the game. If not Dick, that's definitely Tim Drake's originally suit. THIS Robin is the same as the Robin above, although if someone wanted to call him Jason Todd it would be hard to argue. THIS Robin is Dick Grayson THIS Robin is obviously Damian Wayne. Since Jason and Dick are so visually similar, really only differing in their haircuts originally, you could easily have Dick fill Jason's spot. However, since Jason is ignored in most media outside the comics (I've got Under the Red Hood and a holographic statue in Young Justice and that's all. Probably Brave and the Bold, too.) it's very very unlikely that we've gotten an official Jason Todd Robin minifig.
  19. I'd rather we get a traditional Alfred. For some reason the ex-MI6 badass Alfred just doesn't appeal to me. It would be cool if we could get a Beware Batman and a Green Arrow team-up for at least Deathstroke if not Deathstroke and Ra's, though. The Beware Katana is too easy to purist (albeit without the mask) for a minifig design in my opinion, so if we get her at all it should be her New 52 design. Come to think of it, we could have the Outsiders if they kept making Beware sets and episodes! They've got Katana and Metamorpho, and all they'd need now is Black Lightning and maybe Wildcat for a bare minimum Outsiders. They wouldn't even really new pieces, just new prints!
  20. Wait, are you referring to this version in Arrow, or this one? Because if it's the second one, I whole-heartedly agree with you. If it's the first, you are out of your mind. I'd even go for this Deathstroke if it meant getting a Deathstroke fig, but honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he found his way into a set sometime soon. I'm not sure if I've said it here yet, but DC love Deathstroke and if they can stick him in something they will. That's what happened with Son of Batman.
  21. I consider him relatively well-known given his cameo in Arkham City and his recurring appearances in Batman: The Animated Series. I'd say he's a High C, but with major appearances in what's considered one of the greatest cartoons of all time, I'd say he could be easily listed as relatively well-known. Precisely. With the vague information on these new DC movies and the confirmation of a Justice League movie coming very soon, I think that we'll really start to see the LEGO DCU expand greatly in the coming years. I can't believe that the Metal Men are getting a movie, though. I mean, I'd barely heard of them until about a year or so ago, and they don't even have the Indie status to buffer their possible failure. Not to say it will be bad, but it just seems so odd of DC to specifically pick them from the mix, even though there's been characters we've been begging to see in live-action (The rest of the Bat-Family, the Teen Titans, etc.). Maybe they're hoping for a Guardians of the Galaxy effect?
  22. Well, maybe that's because until now we haven't had the right piece to pull it off.
  23. It would be different if the AIM Scientist was secretly one of the two main antagonists of the story, but he wasn't. He was a dude in the background. We're going to get Jimmy Olsen eventually anyway. Uncle Ben and Flash Gordon wouldn't be in a set in any logical circumstance whatsoever unless the former was bleeding out onto the pavement, which seems rather unlikely. The Ventriloquist is a Batman villain made of entirely existing pieces that is relatively well-known and could easily be incorporated into a set. It makes sense and plenty of it that he would be in an upcoming wave of DC sets that we know nothing whatsoever about.
  24. I'd be working yellow, too, if the rest of the line was in yellow but I want all my guys to fit in with each other! I'm actually really disappointed that I can't include Abraham Lincoln in my Justice League because he'll be out of place FOR A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT REASON THAN HE WOULD IN ANY OTHER CIRCUMSTANCE!!
  25. I don't think it would make much sense for Batman and Green Lantern to be fighting Sinestro and Scarface together. I think GL could handle a puppet with a machine gun pretty easily on his own, and why would Sinestro team up with him? I think they'll be in different sets, that is is we get Ventriloquist at all. (Although it would be weird if they went to all of the trouble of designing a minifig of him and making him so important in the comic if he wasn't going to be a physical figure) I have a feeling that if we get Rhino it's going to be Rhino from the cartoon. That's really the only way they can get away with it.
