I saw a post on Flickr a little while ago where someone did the Demon Fist from the Rebirth Teen Titans but I can't find them for the life of me now. Can anybody find what I'm talking about? It might actually be one of you

Has anybody noticed that the only entirely new hero we're getting this year across all three DC-adjacent themes is Bumblebee? LBM is mostly villains with new designs for previous Batman characters, the Mighty Micros are all previously released heroes, the odds of the Justice League sets including any hero we don't already have are practically nonexistent, so all we're left with is Bumblebee and I guess Krypto?? Unless you count Steve Trevor (which I don't). Marvel's already got 10 more unique heroes than DC, and they're getting 2 more in comic-based sets alone next year, both of which are actual minifigures. I know DC's got great villains and that Batman sells, but come on, they can do a little better than this, can't they? I just hope that those peculiar inclusions in the Lego Batman Movie poster wind up in sets. There's gotta be a reason why Hawkgirl doesn't have her own helmet mold when they made new headgear for just about everyone else.

If you're looking for a jacket-less Red Hood, those are pretty good options. I always used Indiana Jones's torso for my Red Hood, though. It's a tougher find these days, but I think it looks pretty good!

I definitely feel where you're coming from. Exclusives can be a real bummer (like the Civil War and Ant-Man packs that still haven't made it to Lego Avengers). It sounds like those sorts of exclusives are going to keep from TT, though. Parsons said himself, " exclusive content is a part and parcel of videogames ". While I don't agree with that sentiment, if he's saying it, it must at least be true for TT Games. If they go down this route, though, I just hope that Nintendo has heard the complaints of Skylanders collectors regarding the Donkey Kong and Bowser figures and allow them to be cross-platform. They'd probably wind up selling more of those packs that way anyway. Wait, they actually kept it spoiler-free? That's pretty impressive, even though I'd imagine anybody who bought the pack probably isn't too concerned about spoilers. Still, though, very courteous.

We have a precedent for this sort of thing in the Donkey Kong and Bowser Skylanders figures, which function both as Skylanders and as Amiibo, and given Amiibo support is continuing on the Switch, such a figure is certain to work on the Wii U version as well. Of course it won't happen this year, since we already know all of the IPs that are coming, but it seems a little more likely to happen sooner than later given the evidence. Of course, the lack of any actual sounds from the game might indicate otherwise. (For the record, his exact response when asked about characters that could only be used on a single platform, specifically citing Mario as an example, was " hmmm... interesting... " which is a little more mysterious than his usual "anything is possible" answers to other IP suggestions.)

Oh, really? I don't know why I thought Khary Payton was doing his voice.. Didn't Arthur Parsons give a cryptic response to someone asking about console exclusive characters? There might be something to this. It certainly makes me glad I bought the Wii U version In that case, though, I really can't wait for the Ancient Aliens fun pack! (0:46)

Oh wow, really? On one hand that's really cool, but it also kind of annoys me that Lego's DC has a Dick Grayson Robin and a Dick Grayson Nightwing simultaneously. I wonder how they'll handle the voice acting with these characters? I mean, Cyborg is nothing, since Khary Payton is already doing him, but will Robin shift from Michael Cera to Scott Menville? Will Batman go from Troy Baker to Will Arnett?

Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
Numbuh1Nerd replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I mean, some day they'll break down and do it. It's all about demand on that front, since they have to make enough money to justify a large chunk of it going to Fox. Luckily they've managed to reduce the cost of making such a set now that the molds all exist (well, save for Thing) so if we keep asking for it we could very well see Marvel's first family someday soon-ish. That being said, we're going to see a lot of other characters first, like the Defenders and the Inhumans.- 5,808 replies

Are you kidding? As much as them having those powers in the show bugs me, I'm beyond pleased to hear that somebody that's readily available will have those powers, especially characters I already plan on getting! Say, Bubbles can talk to animals, maybe she'll have parseltongue? That would be convenient, since I don't think I'll wind up getting Harry Potter unless I have to. I'm wondering just how far they'll go with switching character skins like they are with Cyborg. Will LBM Robin be able to turn into TTG Robin? And them would he be able to turn into regular Robin? Will Batman be able to turn into LBM Batman? Will he be able to turn into Lego Movie Batman? Will the other Titans turn into regular forms of themselves in the DC World? This seems like a bit of a mess of a concept to apply across the board, and if they don't, it'll really break the narrative. Admittedly, I'm sure they're passing on a TTG Cyborg pack because of how few Cyborg fun packs seemed to have sold.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Numbuh1Nerd replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I mean, let's be real, these are sets from a movie where Batman has a midair battle with Gremlins and the Wicked Witch of the West, logic left a while ago and fun's been king of the castle ever since ? -
Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
Numbuh1Nerd replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Lego's constantly breaking our expectations. We got Scarlet Spider and Ghost Rider last year. The Batman Movie sets are getting a character who's only noteworthy action is sexually assaulting Dick Grayson. Punisher is a cool-looking guy with a gun, we'll be getting him sooner than later for certain. Dagger doesn't seem to out there anymore, either, thanks to a number of Ultimate Spider-Man appearances and a TV show on the way, although her torso print will probably exclude the boob windows. Black Cat is a major Spider-Man villain, so while she may feature less cleavage she's bound to come. The X-Men clearly aren't dead in terms of sets, and even if they were now, they could only keep them down for so long. tl;dr: There's really no call for giving up hope on anybody. If you don't like a design we've already had or are desperate for a character right now, go right ahead, but clearly no one is off the table.- 5,808 replies

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Numbuh1Nerd replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Mutant Leader and Carrie Kelley seem like the most fitting choices, especially since the choice of words seems to imply a unique character and not just design. Maybe even Catgirl? We're getting Clock King?! Yes! He's one of my favorite low-level Bat-villains!! What's a Lego Ten-Eyed Man supposed to look like? His whole deal is having eyes on his fingers. Minifigures don't have fingers. -
I only have red Nightwing right now, but I use the generic tousled hair for him and it looks perfect, imo. Red Nightwing with his angry face and black Thor hair makes a flawless Injustice Damian Wayne, too!
-
I had never heard of Red Dwarf before until now. Does it have any sort of behind-the-scenes connections to any other properties? Like, could this be something like the Flintstones and Jetsons areas? If we were getting any more actual IPs, wouldn't we have seen their portals alongside all the other upcoming ones?

That Freeze head is to die for. I just hope the torso is, as well. Either way, I can finally revive my Mr. Freeze after stealing his head for Deadman a while back.

I plan on using Magpie's hair for Ice. Batgirl will definitely be combined with my Steamroller Batgirl to make the Batgirl of Burnside costume (aka the BEST one). Tarantula's hair might go to Bumblebee. Riddler is getting his head and hat swapped out for the Dragster Riddler's to become the perfect Riddler figure. Catwoman's torso would make a good Spoiler torso. Robin's definitely going to get turned into a classic Dick Grayson for those of us who can't afford that '66 Batcave. I think Tarantula's arms might be better suited for Vibe, with it's bracer design. The Kabuki twins have a nice torso for simpler characters like Elektra. The new utility belts are gonna be nice all around. I've already made plans to use Barbara's head for a Pantha figure, but she'll work for any number of Hispanic or Latino characters. Nothing springs to mind immediately for Raging Bat's legs, but boot molds always come in handy. Arkham Ivy's hair seems to lack the leaf pattern, so that'll be a nice new solid red hair piece for the likes of Batwoman or Miss Martian. I can't get a good look at Aaron Cash's head, but more heads in that color are always appreciated! I saw someone mistake Barbara in the Arkham set for Renee Montoya, which made me realize that you could probably get a good Renee Montoya out of her! It's funny you should mention that, since we're supposed to be getting him in the CMF line!

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

So now that we've seen pretty much all of the sets, when are we gonna get some concrete information about the CMF line? I hear Calculator is confirmed, but otherwise I've heard a lot of conflicting lists floating around (and I don't think any of them included Calculator). -

So I guess the Batman Beyond suit will elude us all once more? That's one of the suits I was looking forward to the most. I wish more of them were from the comics and not just jokey action figure-y variants, but I'm sure the parts will be fun to play with. Hopefully they manage to slide Polka-Dot Man into a set somewhere along the line. -
Ooo man, I'm gonna have to figure out how to manage this! I don't think Lego Dimensions stuff sells very well at my Gamestop (or my WalMart for that matter..) so maybe I'd be able to wait until later in the day? I don't know if they get that much traffic, either, but I'd say they'll have enough to be bothersome with as small building as it is... Maybe I should find an excuse to ask...and potentially stop thinking directly into my keyboard...

It's also kind of interesting that they're using classic purple Dumbledore instead of the newer version, just like the LEGO Movie did. It's probably got a lot more to do with the fact that those assets already existed, but it's worth mentioning. That's definitely good to hear. That kind of sounded like Katherine, albeit I've only really heard her speak when she was on the Late Show the other night. According to the wiki, Emma Watson DID record new lines for Hermione?? It says Hermione's the only one whose actress returned for the game, and Harry's lines are all archive sound bites. Is there a source for that?

The nice thing is that we can always customize the figure on the base! Jacob here looks an awful lot like Howard Stark, doesn't he? One who's perhaps had less than his 8 hours? Can anyone confirm that Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston are reprising their roles as Newt and Tina for this? I'm fairly certain that Emma Watson wasn't in there, but I couldn't tell with those two..

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I think Clayface relied a little too much on the round plates, but I'm still pretty satisfied. He does kind of remind me of the Great Mighty Poo from Conker, though.. That civilian minifig looks nice, with that new hair and all the new prints. It's also interesting that her head doesn't look like it's the usual flesh color, so that's nice! The Scarecrow set is kinda neat, and his minifig looks like a lot of interesting pieces to play around with. Not my favorite, but I'll probably get it before it leaves store shelves. The more I see Mr. Freeze, the more spindly he looks. He just doesn't look all that sturdy or intimidating. I don't know why they would go that direction with him, honestly.
