  1. I saw the Batman plush at Target awhile back, and I'm desperately wanting a Robin one!
  2. The Daleks use a plunger piece in new colors, colors that almost definitely won't be produced unless they officially make those Daleks, so that kinda throws a wrench into that :/
  3. The eye is completely wrong, and the tunic is only slightly wrong. The head's pretty far off, and I don't mind the hair so much because it's more traditional. I'm surprised that they didn't lean a lot more heavily into the subtle ankh they designed into his tunic, honestly, but even without that it could've been far more accurate.
  4. I was really hoping to see Doctor Strange in these sets if for no other reason than the fact that the fig we got is pretty inaccurate to the movie. Maybe for Infinity War we'll see him improved.
  5. Steve sounds alright. I was hoping for a leather jacket, but it's whatever. Definitely looking forward to seeing him, maybe modding him a teensy bit!
  6. Just for the sake of tying a bow on an old discussion, Steven Universe is definitely not happening now. McFarlane Toys just released pics of their upcoming Steven Universe construction sets, so that license has been swooped up. Ah well.
  7. Seriously, are we not going to talk about this? Because if we're getting 2 Wonder Woman sets, then that changes everything. We could be getting both a brick-built Ares and minifig Ares across the two sets, there could be another villain we haven't heard about yet, maybe a Hippolyta minifig? Are these both exclusive to the same retailer? Have we ever had two exclusives in the same wave for the same retailer like this? We don't know, but it seems very unlikely that this movie's going to find the time to establish a giant headquarters in space for 6 people who just met. If anything, some sort of Hall of Justice is more likely, but still doubtful.
  8. I believe the guy who made those actually put out fig formulas. Lemme go see if I can find those! UPDATE: No luck finding them, but I'm certain he did make a list somewhere. You might have to scour some comment sections. I used to have a screenshot on my phone, but I guess I deleted it a long time ago.
  9. That's actually much better than I thought it was.The only hard part is going to be getting enough yellow to balance it all out. Maybe an LBM utility belt?
  10. Honestly? My least favorite part's always been the head print. Something about it just seems very wrong. The figure as a whole kinda fails to convey the ferocity of the character, anyway. He just seems kinda pathetic for what's supposed to be a giant anthropomorphic bat-monster.
  11. I forgot about Supergirl! She's gotta have a fun one!
  12. Can't wait to try that with Green Arrow! I wonder how much it costs to use Siri's voice for things..? Still, not as jarring and unpleasant as Robin's. :/
  13. Maybe he just spotted something interesting over to the right!
  14. I expected Beetlejuice to have much more energy in his face, and Buttercup does seem a liiiiittle off. Kinda reminds me of those older promo figures, but maybe the lighting is just making it look bad. I know a lot of people are complaining on Reddit about Buttercup using the new design, but frankly the design is so similar that it's just kinda obnoxious to complain about. I'm really pleased that they printed on the feet, though. That makes it a thousand times better than it would've been otherwise.
  15. These designs are so intriguing! It's clear they took a lot of influence from the Arkham games for a while there but shed pretty much all of it by the end. It's also really interesting that they were playing around with Flying Grayson imagery in Dick's civies, since his backstory outside of being an orphan was never even referenced. That second Robin suit and the first page of Batgirl designs seem to indicate a drastically different tone for the whole movie, passing on the embrace of every corner of source material for something a little more "cool". The abundance of white Jim Gordon designs compared to the smaller number of white Barbara ones seems to indicate that they spent a lot more time on Jim early on, and that the race decision was pretty immediate and came from outside of the design team. The 8b Batgirl design looks like it would fit in extremely well in Beware the Batman. A lot of those Riddler designs seem reminiscent of the unused Riddler designs from the Arkham games, and the second one seems to use some pretty unorthodox minifig techniques with the neck (would that even physically work?). It's also occured to me that Penguin's car looks reminiscent of the '89 Batmobile, the one that he famously hijacked in Batman Returns. Speaking of Returns, it also seems likely that the giant cat robot that was conceived of for Catwoman would be used in the Scuttler scene, most likely to recreate the famous "Mistletoe" bit, albeit with giant robots. The short hair on a couple of those Catwoman designs and the low necklines and necklaces seem reminiscent of Halle Berry's Catwoman, which surprisingly wasn't referenced despite being one of the biggest publicly-known, Batman-adjacent disasters. More than anything, though, I'm really hoping these designs wind up being recreated as MOCs!! (preferably with instructions) Oh, one other thing: the book says that they liked Lego's Man-Bat design the best already, which is pretty funny since nobody's ever seemed all that thrilled about it, especially about its inclusion in the sets
  16. I went through the list of villains we haven't seen, the rest of the Justice League, and a couple of the BatFamily variants and got an easy 20. Maybe we should start a petition.. That really IS a printed figure!! That's really exciting! I actually really love that Cyborg design, too, now that I get a good look at it. (It's a little unfair to put Green Arrow, the guy with his own tv show, in the same category as the Wonder Twins ) I'd buy the heck out of that bottom left Batmobile, and I think I like that Calculator a little better (though I don't think those pieces fit well at all on studs). Those ads are hilarious (Musk of the Phantasm - BRILLIANT). I'm gonna buy that book. Is that on store shelves right now or..?
  17. I'm glad to see that we're getting Convergence Wonder Woman, but I doubt I'll make much effort to get her. I'm not crazy about that costume, I never was, and I don't see many uses for the parts either. I'm gonna put my money on John being some kind of promo figure, but I would hope so hard that there's just a set we haven't heard about yet. Sad thing is that he'll be the only entirely new hero we get this year from DC, save for any more surprises.
  18. That design is original, but it bears some pretty striking similarities to Kato from the Green Hornet, which pretty famously crossed over with the '66 show back in the day and with the Batman '66 comics more recently! Speaking of, I really wish we got the other costume he wore instead. That one was a lot more fun.
  19. So there's definitely no hope for a reasonable Ms. Marvel torso any time soon. I just commented about it on Lego's Facebook and they said they didn't have any plans to right now. Getting tempted to find a bootleg..
  20. All the more reason for another wave of sets. That head is just too darn cute not to produce.
  21. Seriously, it doesn't even sound like the guy they got has ever listened to Michael Cera's voice. It really breaks my heart, too, since Robin's my favorite character in anything ever, and I've been waiting since the game was announced to get to play as him. Does anyone know if Robin has a general skin like Batman's Lego Batman one?
  22. They totally could, but we already know that our next two waves are going to be general CMFs and the Ninjago Movie, and Batman'll be old news by then as they'll be marketing Ninjago. I'd love to be wrong, though, and see another wave of Batman CMF this year or early next.
  23. I was ignoring the variants, but I wouldn't complain at all if we got that Captain Boomerang. There was one other villain that I definitely want that I forgot earlier and could totally find a way into a set:
  24. Didn't expect everyone to be saying exactly what I was thinking when I popped by here, but yeah, that Egghead mech needs to be in a set. There's only a couple of villains in the movie that Lego hasn't produced already, so they could easily pop out two or three more sets to get us Hugo Strange, Crazy Quilt, Clock King, Gentleman Ghost, Condiment King, Doctor Phosphorus, and the aforementioned Egghead. Egghead's the only one that needs a new mold, too. Everybody else is just new printing. Maybe they could do the garage? If they can do one of the awful Halloween costume Batgirl suits they could totally do one more.
  25. I just got the Ms. Marvel set, and the arms make her nearly impossible to do anything with. That is, except for one perfectly perfect thing: selfies. The stiff arm on one side even makes it look like she's putting her arm around someone. I can't do it without getting my hand in the way, but someone really oughta recreate that time she got a selfie with Wolverine! It has also made me crushingly aware that we don't have a Viv Vision minifigure to round out the Champions (well, an Amadeus Cho Hulk would be nice, but we have a Hulk and an Iron Spider that is Amadeus, so..??)
