This was going to be my critique as well. It might have worked well to open the living to the kitchen on the 3rd and the table area to the hall and kitchen on the 4th level to make it a bit more open. I've never seen kitchens with their own doors like that, but this is a global community... More openness might allow more details, and easier viewing and play opportunities of course. Nonetheless, the doll store is very unique and the exterior details look architecturally sound and well designed. Are the animals real or stuffed too? :)

There are a few of these projects on Flickr. I'll try to dig them up for you. Don't feel bad as they are bigger than your samples - feel good that you have something in hand. Color tables like these don't have the same impact usefulness over the screen. The only thing I might suggest is a way to compare colors against each other for MOC purposes. Sometimes I have to put two or three colors together to see what they look like, so if rows could slide out, or you have spare pieces, or pieces come off and go back on, it might be useful. You can also study color theory (color wheels, complementary colors, accent colors, Gestalt organization, foreground / background, more...) if this interests you and want to improve your building skill.

This is kind of off-topic, and I was thinking on doing a separate thread, but for those who do buy sets and like to plan, how do you do it? I would like a webpage with all the current sets with prices that I could check off what I want to buy in the new year for budgeting purposes, but I haven't seen anything like that. There are sets I would be better informed to buy or skip if I could see the whole picture. It would be a bonus if it used the monthly freebees too... I know I am locked into $75 in June for Winter Soldier poly for example. The hard part is there is still a lot of unknowns though like pictures for the later Superheroes, and actual whole themes - Scooby Doo?!? I'm thinking it's too difficult to do a yearly budget, maybe quarterly would be doable. Any advice?

EB Xmas Raffle 2014 - Your Ideal Christmas Gift entry thread
TheWarden replied to CopMike's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks to EB staff for this great raffle once again. I haven't looked at the entries, so I wonder if anyone else posted something similar, but no matter. I (like probably many of us) would like a LEGO sorting robot for Christmas! I've forgotten how to use my Flickr, let's see it attaching works, even if I am out of space! -
Latest Chima Purchases ?
TheWarden replied to Peasantseverywhere's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Old purchases, but... I bought the entire Legend Beast series a month or so ago and they were really well done. You get a nice variety of the new mini-joints and printed parts and some "baby bows" and double baby bows that you can sticker or not... I bought Cragger's Command Ship for about 40% off on Amazon a while back for the olive parts but haven't built it yet... Anyway... the older Lion Temple / Castle set is 50% off at a local store... any body have it? Worth it for a casual Chima fan? -
Double VIP points got me to buy: Riddler and Flash Batman set Gorilla Legend Beast Eagle Legend Beast Batman and Pengy set and the last Cloud Cuckoo Palace set from the back room!

Canned air, perhaps? Or a keyboard vaccum? They also make this "dust absorbing keyboard putty" that you can roll around on electronics and things and it cleans them. Light paintbrush? Statically charged handheld dust wand? I use canned air a time or two a month for normal dust myself.

Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary CUUSOO set Discussion
TheWarden replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in LEGO Licensed
Pretty much perfect in my eyes, I'll get one. Sure, if I had my way... a touch more chrome, a striped tile for the trap instead, one more trap... Seriously, no ghost? Come on, even the new ghost design from Monster Fighters was in a $4 polybag set. I'm glad I am fortunate enough to have some of the old ghosts from the 80s, I guess. LEGO even broke their own rules in that they try to put a conflict in non-city sets. Well, the non City sets I reckon. And the non-AFOL targetted sets, maybe? Now I'm sad that MF is gone and I didn't get any for the GB to fight! And the stand, I'm mixed on it. I like it but I'd rather have a ghost. -
I clicked this thinking there was no way it was going to be accurate, but this exceeds all expectations! Nicely done.

Could be interesting. Big! Lots of pieces! Probably a good price per piece! 1000 pieces would put it around the $90 US for Creator, right? Expensive for the line, but would be a decent midpoint offering to the Modular series.

Review Review: 21103 Back To The Future Time Machine
TheWarden replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
No one seems to have reported receiving the corrected part yet. A Lego CS rep said there warehouse is still showing the wrong pieces and that the corrected pieces are now being printed at http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/11555/spelling-error-in-cuusoo-bttf-de-lorean-set/p2 I'm going to wait a few months before putting my first request in. Shame we can't get a "official" response, other than the outdated Cuusoo page. Maybe in the Ambassadors forum?- 207 replies

The overlap of LEGO and autographing seems practically non-existant from what I understand. The only other one I have heard of is someone in this forum got Johnny Depp to sign the LR stagecoach set box (unopened) so they put it in an acrylic case.

Nice job so far. Do you need to condition the space? Here in the states, most attics are unused and full of insulation, so to see these (I've seen one of these on Brickset too) conversions is quite novel. Depending on your climate (Brazil?) are you planning either a heater or air conditioning, or both? You can get little heatpump minisplits that install right on the wall for minimal effore for both heat and air. Your English is pretty good, but the word "pavement" is not what we think of... Not sure what you mean there. Flooring? Keep up the building!

Review Review: 21103 Back To The Future Time Machine
TheWarden replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Still no official LEGO response, but I see the following on the Brickset thread that might work: http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/comment/238483/#Comment_238483 I might try this.- 207 replies

Me! Welcome. We hope you enjoy your stay. I'm always looking for someone to help keep a lookout on what is on the Pick A Brick wall at the Cincy store if you don't mind a few PMs now and then. They say they get the "masonry profile" bricks in now and then but I've haven't seen them yet. Also looking for someone in person to split a box of the Simpsons CMF if it actually happens... if you are interested. I only think I know two others on EB in the area, I will have to dig in my inbox. Haven't met any in person. There is one LUG (Lego User Group) - OKILug - OH KY IN - but I'm not a member. I left them a message on their Facebook, but they didn't respond. I might try again sometime. They do a few displays each year. I haven't built too many MOCS recently, but I do have a city the size of a desk that I have been working off and on for about a year. I need new pics of it actually. Links to my Flickr album are below if you really want. "Keep on bricking" is what one famous member here says.

Has anyone ordered and received the replacement piece yet? At least two people over at Brickset have reported that their replacement is still misprinted! I wonder what to do now...order one now or wait?- 207 replies

Crayon's Customised Iron Man minifig :)
TheWarden replied to crayonboi's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
These keep on being great! I just gotta ask... did you know this sort of existed? http://marvel.wikia.com/Hal_Stark_%28Earth-9602%29 -
Dunno, probably the used (I usually don't sort) AT-AT or Mil Falcon (minifig versions) that I own. I spread the joy over a week I think. QAR took a few days but it was new in numbered bags.

If these are really going to be $4USD that's remarkable. GOTTA BUY EM ALL

Crayon's Customised Iron Man minifig :)
TheWarden replied to crayonboi's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
IronPool. GENIUS. Very cool project you have here, I like them. -
My current system is just a cheap one. Why... spending on storage means less to spend on LEGO! Ha. Anyway, I currently use the Sterlite 6 Qt shoe boxes with zip-lock bags inside approach. These bins are usually only $1.25 each USD here in the states a piece. You can stack them quite high and then you can sort by what ever approach you use in the bags. Not perfect though. I see the appeal of pull out drawers!

While searching for a location (my city) in the members directory, I came upon his bogus profile with lots of spamvertising linky-loos: http://www.eurobrick...?showuser=11648 Why it came up for my city, I don't know unless it in the mess of text on there. No matter, I see a button at the lower right that says "Report this member," cool, I click and it says something like "Oops, an error! We can't determine what kind of content you are trying to report!" and maybe an error code [#10135] Not a big problem, but it might mean the button doesn't work for any one. Thanks for all the hard work on the site keeping it low on spam!

The Cincinnati, OH store has some fairly epic pieces that seem to be quite similar to the other recent hauls in the thread from all over the world, oddly enough. I picked up a little bit of everything! 1x2 pink tile olive green cheese! 1x2 pearl gold grille tile 1x2 white grille tile 1x1 dark green brick 1x1 lime brick 1x4 green tile 1x4 brown tile 1x4 white tile 1x4 blue 1x2 purple tile pearl gold cone 2x3 purple plates trans dark blue cones (not sure of the color? Looks odd) 1x2 trans clear bricks (I use these a lot for windows) 2x2 round trans yellow bricks So many 1xX tiles! The also had grass and large leaf pieces, 2x2 red tiles, chairs, trans red cones, dunno what else. Some oddballs, tiles are MOC staples, not too many brick staples, though. Very said to hear that they have the elusive "brick bricks" aka masonry profile 1x2 bricks, but they were GONE THAT MORNING. Arg. Anyway, now to see what I can do with a half a cup of olive cheese that I've been drooling over. (Roof for one of my semi-modulars, methinks) If you are from the area, PM me. Would like to know some local folks, maybe go in on a box of brick bricks and am looking to split a box of CMF Simposons in the future if it really happens...

I picked up at the LEGO store in Cincinnati, OH for my double VIP points, Colby City, a PAB cup with some pretty epic parts, and the "Thanksgiving Feast" polybag for all the food and cats! If you want to know what's on the PAB wall, check the PAB thread.
