  1. A buddy of mine is buying the AT-AT and/or ISD tomorrow, I'll ask for some pictures and what he payed for them. Those are the 2 sets I want the most from this wave. And I'll probably get Mos Eisley Cantina later for the Dewback.
  2. I can't help with combining this (amazing) body with the 9398 but I just had to post how awesome this looks. Hopefully you'll find a way to make it fit.
  3. I can't seem to find them on the Belgian Lego website but the prices I posted are (approximately) the prices I saw in Wijnegem (AT-AT might have been 129.99€ in the store, I only had a quick look at the boxes and the prices, next time I'll write them down.. ) Haven't picked anything up yet as I told myself last week (after buying The Simpsons House) I wouldn't buy any more sets this month. Damn you Lego for releasing these so early. :p
  4. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the local Lego Store (Wijnegem, Belgium). The Summer wave of the new Star Wars sets are available starting today. They're not on the Online Shop yet so I guess they'll be added by tomorrow or in the next couple of days. If I remember correctly these are the prices (+-): ISD: 139.95€ AT-AT: 139.95€ Mos Eisley Cantina: 69.95€ Snowspeeder: 29.95€ Not too sure about prices on the others. I did see the B-Wing, The Phantom and The Ghost on the shelves. Also, not sure if this has been mentioned before but The Ghost and The Phantom can be combined into a (slightly) bigger set. The Phantom somehow connects to the back of The Ghost.
  5. Speaking of the house, I've been building it over the last couple of nights and I noticed that Bart's skateboard uses a sticker while the CMF series has a printed one. 1 day after applying the sticker it was already loosening up. :( Besides that the house is filled with nice little touches and has some interesting part usage (stuff I'd never come up with) to make the vacuum cleaner, TV, Maggie's crib, toilet, shower, ... (Basically everything excluding the walls. ) I really hope Lego releases more Simpsons stuff later on, I'd love to build a Lego Springfield. (By the way, Lego, if you're reading this, include Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II in the next CMF series, okay? )
  6. I have only built 1 MOC till now, 2479 parts which cost me 225,66€ (excl. shipping which was another 25-30€ in total as I bought from 7 different sellers), I even had to over-order some pieces as the cheapest Bricklink seller only sold them in groups of 10.
  7. For our Belgian readers: as of today the Simpsons Minifigs are available at the official Lego Store in Wijnegem. (They were supposed to be released on May 1st, but they found out this morning they could start selling them today.) Thanks to a very friendly staff member who helped me feel them out I managed to pick up a full set (in theory, still have to open them). She also told me Mr. Burns is the rarest of the bunch, only 2-3 of him in a full box. I'll be going back next weekend to trade in my VIP points for The Simpsons House. Halfway the search another customer joined in who also wanted a full set and they brought out a new box to refill the shelf. I asked what they usually do with those boxes and they said they throw them away, so I asked if I could have one and they didn't mind at all.. Today was a good day for me, I went for a SW set as I didn't expect the Simpsons figs to be available yet.
  8. Bought this one at the Lego Store in Wijnegem (Belgium) today: * (75043) AT-AP (With free Revan mini fig and poster, of course). I was very happy to see this set discounted as I already had 8/10 rumored discount sets and I didn't want the other 2. (Non SW-related: I picked up the Brick Calendar and a full set of Simpsons minifigs, thanks to the very helpful staff member who felt them out with me. After these purchases I was missing 2 VIP points for a 70€ discount so I also bought a Lego Movie Minifig. I'll be going back before the end of the week to trade in the VIP points.)
  9. I recently bought a used 7181 Tie Interceptor but the sticker isn't looking as great anymore as it was 14 years ago. I've tried looking for it online but all I've come up with so far is this one.. If anyone has it in a higher resolution, that would be great.
  10. Picked up the final 2 Series 4 Planets, now I've got them all. :) * (75009) Snowspeeder & Hoth * (75011) Tantive IV & Alderaan
  11. That was quick, I had just told myself to (try to) patiently wait till they were on Rebrickable. Thanks for the partslist.
  12. That MK2 SUV is awesome. Does anyone happen to have a parts list for it with all the required parts in it?
  13. My most recent purchase is this little one (30% discount): Only need the other 2 Series 4 Planets and I'll have them all.. :)
  14. I can still order 2 on the Belgian Lego Online Store (if I wanted to).. My priorities lie elsewhere though so I'll be waiting for a review first and then make up my mind. (I'll probably end up buying it anyway in a couple of months.)
  15. Wow, that sure is an impressive collection you've got there.. I've been working on a TIE Bomber for the last couple of weeks and can't really get it the way I want. Yours looks amazing though. Really nice work (on all the models). :)
  16. *waves* I levelled my Sith Assassin up to 52 and finished the main story class quests today. ;) How can I help?
  17. Thanks for the reply, Kumbbl. I've looked up the sets you listed, the cheapest of the 3 would be the helicopter. I can currently buy that, with the 8293 Power Functions set included, for about 80€. I can't find 9397 for the price you listed though, it's minimum 115€ around here, including webshops. I'll check on 8110's price, haven't gotten to that one yet. I'd purely use them for parts but I'm no where near ready to start building my own Technic car, so I think I need to build a few official ones before I'll get the hang of it.
  18. A couple of months ago I restarted my Lego addiction with the Star Wars line, but I've always been sortof interested in the Technic sets as well.. My most recent Technic set is 16 years old (8432 Concept Car) and while browsing the current Technic sets I've noticed that they seem to have improved a lot over the last 15 years. :) I'd like to get back into Technic (a bit) and experiment with RC cars.. These 2 sets caught my attention the most: * 42000 Grand Prix Racer (Found one (sealed) for 70€) * 9398 4x4 Crawler While the Crawler is quite expensive (179,99€), I have enough VIP points to get it to a more interesting price point (-50€) and it has the RC functions I'm interested in. Still, the Grand Prix Racer has a (much) more interesting price tag currently and I'm not sure how long it'll stay at that price. Most other stores list it as +90€ and even though I'm not a F1 fan, I like the look of the set and I've seen pictures of a custom RC version here on EB, so it can be done. :) Which set would you recommend for a Technic newbie? I build my sets to keep them on display. In case I'd go for the 42000 I'm considering to build the set as Lego intended and try to RC mod it. And when I'm tired of it I'll use the parts for some experimenting (which will take a while, I don't get tired of any set easily). Is there a cheaper set that you'd recommend for a parts pack? (And any guesses as to when the 4x4 Crawler will approximately be discontinued? So I can determine when to get one.. I was planning on keeping my VIP points for the Star Wars summer wave, there are some interesting sets incoming..) One final question, again in case I'd go with the 42000, which power function packs would I need to RC the Grand Prix Racer? *edit* Or would anyone recommend me to try and find the 8070 Super Car for a nice price (found one used for 85€..)?
  19. While the January-wave didn't really appeal to me (besides that AT-AP), the Summer-wave looks very interesting.. AT-AP and ISD will be pretty much instant buys for me (because I don't have the previous versions), I can't wait to see the real pictures of these sets.
  20. 2 more to add to the list.. (9500) Sith Fury-class Interceptor, a new years present from my mom. And I bought the (75019) AT-TE for myself a few days ago. Originally went to the Lego store to fill the holiday PaB box but there were around 15 people there doing the same, the store was way too crowded (it usually is though) and the intresting bricks/pieces I saw a week earlier were gone, so I'll wait.
  21. There sure are some intresting sets in the summer 2014 wave, but FBTB was "beaten to it" by menad, right here on Eurobricks, who posted it late last night.
  22. Madoka's the one who has a separate house for all his Lego sets, so I don't think he cares if they were on sale or not. :) I picked up the 75019 AT-TE for myself today.. The official Lego store (Wijnegem, BE) had the new Lego Movie sets and 2014 Star Wars sets, almost bought the AT-AP but decided on the AT-TE instead, I'll probably get the AP (very) soon though.
  23. @BEAVeR: You're totally right about the torso's.. I probably messed up while building the Falcon and didn't pay enough attention to the manual. I switched them and it looks a lot better. Thanks. You're also right about the floating Luke but hey, he's a Jedi, who knows what other powers they have that we don't know about.. (I can't get him to stand on his feet while he's holding the tube, he always starts floating. We could also pretend that he jumped to get to the cable and it's a sort-of snapshot of that moment. ) I'll see if I can rearrange the figs to concentrate the action a bit more but, as it's only visible from the side, Luke, the Imperial Officer and the Droidekas are hard to spot as they're in the background. I currently have my 2 nephews on a sleepover so it'll have to wait a few days though. And I was so wrong about the Droidekas in that scene. I thought I remembered seeing them in Episode 4. (I remember a Jedi shouting "Master! Destroyers!" but that turned out to be Ep.1..) Now I need to get a few extra Stormtroopers to fix that.
  24. I honestly wouldn't want to pilot it out of there either, luckily (?) for them they'll never have to. Wow, thank you for this, it's an honor.. I never expected this to be blogged.
  25. Thanks for all those nice comments, next time I won't be so shy to post my creations, I promise. I've also updated the first post with the video. About the minifig placement, I originally had a different layout in mind with more Stormtroopers but after putting the Falcon in place there was not enough space left to work out that idea, so I had to improvise. I had read about using arc pieces for the gate but the guy who made the bigger MOC posted somewhere that certain parts needed painting, which I didn't want to do. I'll have a look though and keep it in mind for the next version. Whoops, even though I'm a fan of Star Wars those Droidekas look all the same to me.. And these were the only 2 I had, I couldn't send the Imperial Officer in there by himself, that would be cruel. There were supposed to be 2 Stormtroopers accompanying him, but I only have 1 so it was a last minute decision to go with the Droidekas. Some 'fun facts' I forgot to post yesterday: * Display area (LxWxH): 70x48x45 * MOC size (LxWxH): 70x48x26 * 112 unique bricks * Total brick count: 2479 (Which would have ended up lower if I had rebuilt it in LDD using more efficient brick choices. To get the basic walls done I sometimes copied a certain brick in order to change it later and then forgot all about it. Redoing would improve the structure and stability, but it's not falling over so I'm happy.) And even though it is quite small I tried to build the gate big enough to let the Falcon pass through. And it worked! (Some quick pictures while I was finishing off the gate, which is why the top wasn't connected yet)
