  1. the German Manufacturer Liebherr describes the Mainboom of their Ecavators with Gooseneck (pdf from 974C) after Reading the PDF of the 974C i use this name too M is a M motor
  2. thanks, currently my version works with 1:1,677 and i think it is a little bit overpowered. The M of the stick rides soon on the Edge in relation to the XL of the Gooseneck. have you the same problem?
  3. Hi jurgen, what for a gear ratio do you use between the XL and the LAs? 1:1?
  4. you are mhq ? sorry, that i was so blind
  5. congratulation and good luck to zblj and Grohl for your entries, but i have choosed the locomotives
  6. The uppercarriage is ready now. I am using a normal Battery Box, so i must modified the complete structure. the transmission of the XL is during the Building progress variable. 1:1,677, 1:1 and 1,677:1 is free to use if more power or more speed is wanted. with the 1:1,677 i could lift 8 AA and 8 AAA Batteries at the same time at the end of the stick. Left and Right from the XL i have the Ms for the Tracks mounted. if the uppercarriage turns both Tracks are moving at the same speed in the same direction. To have no play in the transmission through the turntable i have used one of the older differential cages. If you want more pics, you can find it at my Brickshelf folder Edit: The gooseneckboom, the stick and the bucket are finished. i have made a little Vid, with a bit Digging and moving the old boom out of the Way
  7. if the gears are the problem, then maybe my modifications are a solution for you.
  8. the tracks are caught in the hair of the carpet? hm well, i think you need a lawnmower. a mobile excavator which is based on the 8043 would not look good. wheeled excavators are small ones in reality and the 8043 is a bigger one.
  9. it looks like a real one in fact, this is a B-model that is a instruction in paper worth. and as a A model i had bought it
  10. is it neccessary to quote the full post, when the post has so much pics? not everyone has a broadband internet connection.
  11. the axle has only two studs space to twist, but i agree with you that it could be a problem. it is only an idea and it is not tested till now and currently is the 8043 mod more important for me.
  12. Thanks, that was my intention. But the function is a little bit improved too. I have stretched the Trackbase 1,5 studs and added 2 grey rollers. now it is a little bit let bouncing when driving. I hope when i am ready with my modifications, it works nearly proper like your great version
  13. maybe some things are going bigger than the plan. yesterday i had a idea for a bigger turntable.
  14. My 8043 was meanwhile complete, and some things are not really satisfying for me. The first thing iam spend my time is the undercarriage. In short words i have only hidden the transmission. Modifications of the uppercarriage, the Gooseneck boom, the stick and the Bucket will come from time to time.
  15. i talk from this page. to be exact, i have the axle in understep 4 replaced through a axle 6. my instruction is the same, hich is online available
  16. he needs in minimum 3 motors. one to powering the funtions, 1 for steering, and one to switch between the functions. if he would switch with the steering motor, he would switch the functions with every steering. in my humbly opinion this is no option for a fully remote truck.
  17. how many fuctions do you want? maybe you could use the 8043 gearbox system.
  18. the LAs in the 8043 set which arrived today, have all the number 37x0
  19. Hi, i am building currently the second series of the 8043 excavator. it includes the new LAs but the building instruction didnt include the Track Fix. During the building proces i asked me at book 1,page45, step 36: Why the heck they dont use a axle 5? During to thumb through the books i noticed that a axle 6 would be better. It is right that it is the track fix? Did TLG forget to fix the instruction book? for me it is no problem. i know the problem and its solving, but what is when a newbie is building the excavator? should i write TLG a mail?
  20. they need a transmission which needs a lot of space. Pneumatics need only hoses
  21. cool, now it can do, what a real mini excavator can do. An d we see the biggest advantage of pneumatics: the models can be smaller.
  22. cool , [joke mode]but where is the motorbike function? [/joke mode]
  23. respect for the construction of these moc, but sorry........ i hope Ferrari is never bringing one like this on the road. it is the same asthetic misdoing like the Porsche Panamera
