  1. Since the gearcrusher i dont like 8 tooth gears and U-Joints at high torque positions. And with this combination i would have 2 studs less between the pivot points. So short as possible, this is a point in which iam be a fanatic. ok, the 14 tooth bevel gear is not the strongest gear, but i want to try it
  2. thanks for the pics and in special for the exploding view. but what is your opinion?
  3. Hi Guys, iam starting the willys Jeep project with a question: which axle would you choose for the willys? The left or the right? the left has a 1:4 gear ratio and the right, a portal axle, a 1:2.779 gear ratio between wheel and pivot point. both axles have the same wheelbase, but the pivot point is at the left axle one stud wider. what is your opinion?
  4. this possibility is existing
  5. yes milan and the best is, that the space between the tires is much more. the willys will have be a width of 23 studs and i have 15 studs room between the tires. with the original 94.8 i would only have 11 studs. in my eyes this is a big difference and will me give me in future enough room for a realistic MAN KAT II suspension. but first i must find more 8448 rims to have enough for 15 to mil gl (4 axles). bricklink is me to expensive. Sam42, left and right drivelines?
  6. hm, the pick up i had not in my mind but it is surely an option. the one that i had thinked about is this Picture source i could understand, that the comparisation page is not listing this posibility. it fits very thight and only crazy people like me, could think this would fit.
  7. 32308 this part i have used as a suspension part the rubber parts, could me anyone say something about the flexibility? maybe they could used as a flatspring in trucks
  8. hi guys, at yesterday evening i had a idea and currently iam not completely sure what i should do with it. to solve this problem i have a question to you. i have put the rubber of the 94.8 tires on the rims of the 8448 design car. now they are 100mm in diameter and only 4.5 studs wide. the diameter and width of the tire fits nearly perfect to a classic willys jeep. now my question: i think my 14 studs wide willys needs a big brother, but is something getting wrong if a willys jeep have portal axles?
  9. and a good slide in the next year
  10. yes that is a another posibility. A Sandrail would be possible too
  11. or did he want something like this
  12. no, it is only roundabout 16 studs wide
  13. Mercedes Benz Vehicles are in no country cheap. we Germans pay more for German Cars than North american people. We will see how much the U400 will cost, and i think i will ignore the price
  14. this huge tires for a trike? the rims of the unimog Tires seems to be the rims of the 81.6 or 94.8 Ballons. and if i compare the battery box with the tires, i would guess the wheels have a diameter of minimum 12 studs. and if my guess is correct the tires has the same diameter or more than the 94,8. in my humbly opinion they would better fit to a baja trophy truck, a coal mining truck, an articulated dumper, an mb trac (the Next licensed Mercedes Model?), an telescopic loader, any road and offroad trucks. i think there are huge models come to us. and if not from TLG, then from us AFOLS
  15. in my eyes the rectangular panels are silver or grey. this would fit to the coulours of the original
  16. the original U400 have the same proportional problem. In my Eyes it looks like a Cyclops. but anyway, i want this tires
  17. my dreams come true. Big tires with a realistic width to diameter proportion + a realistic offroad Tire Pattern. only for the tires i will buy this set minimum two times, to have the tires for a 15to mil gl. only one critic i have on the U400: could it be not a U4000 to have not these ugly drivers Cab? anyway, i have enough parts to solve this problem.
