(MOC) Liebherr LTM 1050
efferman replied to Milan's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
hm, looks a little bit weak, but when you say that the hold the hole crane in air, then it is strong enough. p.s. i have pics from my final outriggers in my ac40 thread -
the small one have a very good chance but with 7 studs width is it little bit wide for the scale. the outer box must became a little bit narrower. 1,2m in the original Size are too much. a big edit: i think i have found my outriggers for this moc. a stabilizer base of 36 studs. it looks not to big and it could lift the Crane from the Ground. Currently it is not complete integrated, but here are some pics More pics at the Brickshelf folder when it is online again. But for the front outrigger i must now buy Parts. Comments, questions and suggestions are welcome.

Sorry for the double posting. Milans liebherr let me think about the problem, how i could hide the Pneumatic Hoses. And i think i have a good modular solution for my future Projects. Currently it is 20 studs wide and allows a extension of 13studs at each side. The only hook is the width of the outer outrigger box. With its 9 studs width, it looks a bit to heavy for small cranes like the ltm 1050. now enough of the words, i let pictures talk. More pics at the folder when it is online again. comments, questions and suggestions are welcome ciao p.s. no, for the current project it is to big

if the pneumatic cylinder is in Air, then it is only a beauty problem. -

i think this vid will it explain. sorry for low res. the battery of the hd cam is empty the pneumatic valve is in the position to pull the cylinder in. it must go heavier than the outrigger. then the outrigger will extend to its maximum. the diff is now switching the pneumatic valve to extend the cylinder . to go in driving position the valve must going easier to switch as the retracting of the outrigger(rubberband?). when the valve is switched, the outrigger will be retracted. questions? Do you want pics? -

how wide could the outriggers be? 3, 4, 5 studs? your one channel problem is easy to solve. first extend the outrigger, then expands the stabilize cylinder automatic. 15 years ago this was a normal use to save functions at the hydraulic steering block. -

you dont want using expandable outriggers in this big scale? -
thanks for the info btw, i have some pics from my outrigger concept. Sorry for so many colors, first it must work more pis in the folder when it is online again. actually the complete stabilizers have the dimensions 7x6x15 studs. With extended outriggers the length is 31 studs. The "stabilize cylinders" expands nearly 4 studs and they are locked by the axle connector with the 2L axle in it. comments, questions and suggestions are welcome ciao

Trial truck tip 4
efferman replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
i did not could find any wrong info. good work -
good question, maybe it will become only a simple city crane. maybe it becomes some strange functions. i dont know at this time. Currently i think about how i could make the outriggers to fit them in scale and let it work properly. The final place for the steering wheel is (hopefully) in the drivers Cab and rather sure at a flashing light at the superstructure. the boom will be probably lifted by four pneumatic cylinders, or four linear actuators.

the redesign of the steering system is complete. Double bevel gears make the switching, between the dogwalk and normal steering, easier. A lever holds the switch axle on its position. here some pics (thumbnails) more pics at the Brickshelf folder when it is online. If one of you wants to rebuild it, make sure that all axles are in the same direction, to make the switching possible. Here is a little movie comments, critics or suggestions are welcome.
