  1. yes, i agree. but works it at a obstacle like a rock?
  2. thanks for your suggestion, but i think it is a little bit to big for the space which i have. And its no solving for my main problem edit: I think i have a solution for my problem. for every direction the same number of gears. only the trackwidth is one stud wider and the Ackerman Geometry is lost in the modification. I hope the idea works better, with the complete chassis, than the old version
  3. sorry, it seems my brain is currently not in condition to understand this without a picture. is it this what you mean?
  4. That sounds absolutely not funny. At first i had the same idea. The problem with the clutch gears is that they have more play between sync.ring and the clutch gear . in my humbly opinion thats not usable at a steering system.
  5. My CityCrane in miniscale is a little cute thing, but for some technical ideas it is to small. An example: The front and rear Axles steers counterwise and steering in the same direction. To try this, i have started a moc who is inspirated by the Demag AC40 City (PDF). Th first attempt results in the following short video Counterwise Steering is no problem, but the dogwalk is a little bit critical. With its one Gear more on the front axle, it comes not exact back to center, when the rear axles are in center. When i switching to normal Steering i must adjust the front axle to have a correct steering angle. Currently i have no idea how i could solve this problem. any critics, ideas or questions? p.s. this will become not an rc model. I think with its 15 studs width, it is to small to add a drivetrain to the steering system.
  6. i like the steering brake
  7. thanks, btw, your sandhill crane is awesome
  8. thanks for your idea. normaly i use firefox and the error comes with it. after your question i tried the internet explorer and it works. thanks a lot
  9. thanks hm, good idea, but yellow connector parts are extremely rare in my collection. i will keep it in my mind. to the challenge: unfortunately i see at every try to go to the uploads following error:
  10. Grohl your Sandhill crane is awesome. it would be perfect if its have a Baby in a basket thanks erik
  11. in the topic for the Technic Challenge "Cranes" i have posted two pics from my City Crane in miniscale. Now i will go a little bit in the Details. I have used 37x18R Tires and all four wheels are steered by a massive link. In the center of the 21studs long chassis is placed the big turntable. on top of these rotates the "superstructure" with the boom and the Drivers Cab. The Linear Actuator, which lifts the Boom, is powered by hand of god at the end of the superstructure. The Telescopic boom is locked by a axle 4L with stop. The Outriggers are locked by 4 Studs long links After the Pics from Yesterday i modified the Cassis platform and the mudguards the complete Gallery you find at Brickshelf when the folder is online Please talk if you have questions or suggestions p.s. all pics are thumbnails
  12. very unique idea. the first boom section looks a little bit to light for me.
  13. thanks the "outriggers" are locked by a 4L link or was it an different function why you ask?
  14. thanks a city crane from tlg in this size would be nice. and the linear actuator is not a must have. ther are other ways to lift the boom. but i dont know how is the playability for kids with all the manual functions wich works with bolts.
  15. this month i have build a little mobile crane. nothing to win the afol section, but it had made fun to made it. at this time its a error on the competition side if i want to upload my picture
  16. Selling Mocs to buy new sets is burning money. There is only one reason to sell mocs: no money for food. Four years ago, i was in this situation, and it had break my heart to sell my 80 kilos of Lego.
  17. the polish truckt rial rules are not the right for me. my models are in the Scale of the Tires and in the most times not in 1:13 I wonder why the lugpol rules are so rigid about the Wheelbase and width, they must fit to the original, but the height is free. i think the rules of the dimensions should be modified: The Scale of the truck must fit to the tire The Vehicle Dimensions must be similar to the Scale. to example: Is the Scale wheelbase/height/width 25 studs, the wheelbase/height/width of the model must have 25 +/-0,5 studs m_longer, respect your HEMMT looks really really realistic
  18. drives really like a trophy truck :thumb:
  19. once again a really cool idea. I wish you much luck for the challenge
  20. respect, this little thing goes really great over obstacles
