  1. Some people say it is the best offroader of the world, other people call em the big brother of the U400. Mercedes call it..... Unimog UHN Well, i have taken my priority on the look of the Unimog UHN and not on the offroad abilitys, for this i would need 3 lockable diffs and a shiftable bearbox with many gears. one thing is adequate to the UHN series what tlg could not made, because this would be to expensive to produce. I Talking about the portal hubs which are in the lego version very large and having a pivot point far away of the wheel, so i made my own. But this was not enough for me to replicate a proper unimog, so i have made a rim with a deep offset and a realistic look This all makes a wide and flexible frame in a realistic shape possible. and like the real frame it is highly flexible The Gearbox is simple and offers no shifting, what is not really a good decission because a gear reduction of 4,2 to one is not suitable for every situation. For heavy offroad under good grip conditions the torque is not enough. designing the cab and details is hard to describe so i let the pictures tell the story. and finally the actual available videos. A longer vid will come and the ldd file I hope you like it
  2. Oops, thanks for the Information edit: is fixed
  3. i use a 20/12 gear combination, with the 20 tooth on the servo, and the servo has no problems during steering
  4. cool, can you please make a picture with unimog tire in center of the fenders?
  5. thanks guys, for more easy replicating i have made a ldd file of the chassis. the servo which is still missing in ldd is made in green, thje placeholders for my portal hubs are transclear unimog frame LDD file edith: Flatbed is final and fake battery box too 100_1189 von efferman auf Flickr edit: its final 100_1193 von efferman auf Flickr
  6. They work with standard rims too. There is only one stud difference between the pivot points. Some cleaning was neccessary, because some holes are not a perfect circle. Pinholes are no problem, but the holes for the driveshaft has to be cleaned by a 4,8 or 5,0 drill to get a smooth rotation.
  7. Thanks a small family meeting with Pat-Ards U20
  8. oops, yes you are right edith: exhaust pipe and door steps 100_1184 von efferman auf Flickr
  9. The cab is almost done easy access to battery and channel switch some rudimentary interior 100_1183 von efferman auf Flickr
  10. I have placed a ldd file some posts ago.
  11. There are simply some clutch gears and some spur gears. No shifting mechanism or something similar.
  12. because transclear tiles are very rare in technic sets, this is unfortunately true
  13. indeed, but the new motors and the servo are still missing
  14. unfortunately i have not enough transclear tiles a small update of the bumper, now with functional trailer hitch 100_1179 von efferman auf Flickr
  15. really? many thanks to you. what you are think about the bumper? 100_1178 von efferman auf Flickr
  16. thanks guys 1 XL is for drive, one servo to steer the front axle, one servo for the last axle, one servo for shifting and the M motor is for lifting the last axle. a video is actually impossible, because this is still a virtuall project. only the the gearbox was built to be sure that it works. getriebe von efferman auf Flickr
  17. When you can rescale yourself there is no need for this. When you upload it to shapeways, you can get a 15 percent off on strong and flexible plastics when you order till may the 12th.
  18. Dae or kmz are not in the list
  19. roundabout 15 so which extension uses your software?
  20. this was the decission of catweazle. if you look the ldd file, which was the base of the instruction, you will see that there are no dampers. the actuator presses the drive axle down and the last axle upward.
  21. sure you can send me the files, but i dont know if my inventor can read it, and how to downsize it.... dont know. by the way, looks great the diff and yes the outer holes are to close at the teeth
