  1. I would definitly buy this set, great work
  2. My second phase of the Stables tree line has been completed, to be found here Only a few more then a dozen to go, then to update where needed to snatch that badge :-)
  3. When it starts snowing in Mitgardia, it really can snow mightly hard. And then it is time to stable all our fine northern horses to wait out for better weather and groom those loyal steeds. The second phase of the Stables tree states you need to build, well, a stable. Where phase I was just a horse and rider, the second part of the build line requires to have a structure where horses can pass the days and have a rest. Oddly enough, when I was uploading the pictures from my camera into my Age of Mitgardia folder, it seems I have subconsciously developped something I might be calling `my style`. Looking at my storehouse, regular house, now this stable and other builds, the grey to brown to grey again seems to be becoming something of a red line through my builds. Rather odd, as I don`t tend to look at my other builds when working at the latest ones. I opted for this build for an open stable, including a watering `bench`, slight Mitgardian colour accent, and snowy roof with some additional snow on the ground where it has slid off from the particular roof. To tie in with the first build of the line, I incorporated the rider from there and his horse (which is from the Prince of Persia line) as he is preparing to feed his mount before unsaddling and stabling it. I hope you like it.
  4. 2A as well for me I love how this serial is turning out, keep adventuring Bran!
  5. The reason was the simplest of simples; I ran out of brown and tan... AFTER Brickmania, I can teardown a lot of older builds to proceed with other things, but this was having do with having available (I used a lot of browns in another phase 2 I still need to upload) But thanks for the comments all, I`m glad the wheel turned out okay, it was a mess trying to get it aligned just right so I could put the round ones on
  6. Very impressive build! Are those rooftiles all "Elrond chairs"?
  7. Awesome incorporation of tree and house!
  8. Hehehe, I just read that passage this morning on the bus as I`ve started re-reading the Hobbit just today Great looking scene
  9. Slow but steadily we keep churning further on towards the completion of building lines Mill phase 2, my take on the watermill
  10. Down by the (Icky) River / Tomsche / Mitgardia
  11. After I deliberatly placed my phase 1 in Kaliphlim as a trade relationship to Mitgardia and linking it that way to our noble icy lands, I went for phase 2 with a Nocturnus influenced build. This is a nice way to break up the building of wooden houses and snowy landscapes, yet allows me to connect the dots all to the village of Merak and other cities in Mitgardia, giving the idea behind the build`s fluff some substance and explanation. And i still have a lot of purple bricks to do something with from an earlier PAB wall visit this year ;-) In the southern regions of Mitgardia, where the lands of the Northmen border the dark swamps of Nocturnus, the waters are tainted. Filled with the dirt and foul sorceries that come out of these dark lands, the region might not be to suitable for the local population to work with, but as in any good economy, a solution is often simple. Hence when a traveller goes that far south, he will often encounter workers from the Dark Lands there, trying to earn a bit of coin in exchange for their labour. Due to their higher resistance for the influences of their homelands, these workers are sought after to man the watermills and other places of `industry`. Szzzz`tik and Skrat are two such Nocturnus workers, manning a small watermill on a southern bystream. Even though the waters a foul, dirty and slightly noxious, their resistance to this make them highly treasured workers of the Mitgardian way of life. Though their are voices in the Nocturnus government implying they are actually enslaved and forced labourers, not a single expat has returned to his himeland yet to confirm these vile rumours! Hope you like it ;-)
  12. What is this `map thing` people talk about? Do not we follow the wind? Does not the Gods decide the path we walk? Do we even NEED to let others now where our glorious halls are located? Okay *cough* just saying my `ruled over by me` village of Merak is actually to small to actually bother with putting it on a map ;-)
  13. I thought Batman only wore black or very, very dark grey instead of purple Very nice build Vlad
  14. Actually, it only includes 60% CMF`s, but yeah, my first copies of them I always keep `as they are`
  15. Phase 2 of the Barracks buildline: Fight!
  16. FIGHT! The word echoed over the training grounds as the mock up fights began. Young warriors from various places had gathered, and seek some Mitgardian weapons training for the inenvitable fights that would be coming in the future. the North was a warrior race, and the North would be completely able to defend itself should people need protecting. Looking at the grave of his fallen friend, the master thought of how he had accidently decapitated him during a duel fight. Sadness overcame him, they should have hold back their blows instead of trying to best each other like they did ever since childhood... *CRASH* The sound of wood versus bone was loud. Looking to his trainees, he saw that one of them had handed out a shield bash to the chest of his opponent. Ouch, Brutality... The second phase of the Barracks tree line in Age of Mitgardia required a training grounds to be made. I opted for the traditional training field in which young warriors test their mettle against each others, wielding a variety of weapons like in the old days of gladiatorial combat. The grave next to the master is a reference to my phase 1 build, in order to show a bit of chronological evolution in the build. And of course, the fluff text is a reference to that one particular game about every 30 something bloke these days has grown up with ;-)
  17. I thought it a real hard choice actually to go for Men, as my own guild is so far the hardest one to build for. I didn`t really expect it to be turning around Dwarves and Elves in the lands of the vikings tbh, and I own like 1 `Evil Dwarf` from the CMF series and zilch elves for use in Moc`s, so it`ll be a very liberal cat A and that will be about it I fear.
  18. Hagen of Merak from the Mitgardian Elite elects to choose the side of Man
  19. Very nice looking, great work Feels like one of the statues out of LotR
  20. The story, the `feel, the stalls... all excellent work
  21. I couldn`t, then the contest had to be a month later. Most foliage and most browns are `spend` on Age of Mitgardia, which have to survive until after BrickMania the 15th of november hehe. THEN I can trash half the builds and refill my piece boxes
  22. Thanks, I`ve overread that entry piece link Pity they don`t have an `old Bilbo` in their range, or I`d put the old geezer in a jacuzzi with some elven lasses. He needed something to be occupied with in Rivendell after all while that foolish nephew was out adventuring
