  1. Matthias decides to attack the Golden Golems. > Matthias: Extraordinaire vs. Golden Golems Also, I just noticed Hoke's health. Doesn't that add up to 91, not 186? Did I miss something?
  2. I think it's really interesting to see Dyric go the opposite way of the rest - everyone else is more and more cynical, etc; Dyric is ths assassin who slowly comes around. "I'm a Hero! Let's do Hero stuff!"
  3. Matthias heals Torc. > Matthias: Heal (XX Replica) vs. Torc
  4. Matthias repeats his heal, knowing Guts will need to be around to get them through the fight.
  5. Matthias whips the Extraordinaire around and prepares to fire at the Copper Mob (from the back row), letting the rest of the party act first to make sure none of the party need healing. > Matthias: If any party member injured, Heal (XX Replica) vs. first injured party member; else Extraordinaire vs. Copper Mob
  6. Matthias sets the anvil down briefly in front of himself, places his hands on it, and closes his eyes, reaching out to sense what might be next.
  7. Wait, did you actually expect one of Endgame's bosses to die?
  8. Matthias wonders what Piglina means about the anvil, but he figures a treasure room would be just the place to put something like that. "I will take the Orb to Sir Pigley - he is a very great friend of mine. It will be good to see him again. I assume the Orb is marked, or that I will otherwise know it when we see it? And as for the Anvil, I've not made up my mind to leave it, but perhaps the treasure room is an appropriate place. It is well protected?"
  9. Ooooooh, cool! Who doesn't?
  10. Matthias continues to follow Hoke - and now Guts - as they work towards the Frozen room.
  11. 1 word: Bonaparte. Another word: Cannoneer!
  12. Matthias goes with Hoke, holding on to his remaining gold for now.
  13. "It's been such a long day, I don't even remember half the things I've heard," the gnome remarks, "but as long as we're here, may as well see the whole place, am I right?" Apparently it's something that's never happened before... The scroll of burning, I mean. For some reason (ahem) I thought there was such a thing.
  14. Actually, as far as I can tell, Zepher hasn't said that they would be able to merge into Artifacts at all!
  15. This should answer the questions:
  16. Matthias suddenly adds another thought as it strikes him. "And what about a Scroll of Burning?"
  17. I thought I remembered something like that being said already, but I couldn't find it tonight.
  18. "I thought you might say that. I suppose I will start with my Garnet." Matthias enters the ethereal forge, sees the earth sprites, throws his Demeter Bomb, and collects the Ethereal Garnet. Then, in quick succession, he moves back to the council room, nabs an extra pair of Gaia Bombs for another 300 gold from Zeus, and returns to the Forge, entering three times - once with a Ruby and twice with Opals - and throwing Gaia bombs to overcome the resulting sprites each time. 1132 - 300 = 832 gold remaining How does the Ruby work, exactly? Does Matthias get to pick which effect it makes? Or is it random? Or both (doesn't seem to make sense)? And everyone will hate me, I know, but I'm going to ask permission instead of forgiveness: ethereal gems can be merged into weapons by Anwyl and artefacts by Fabian, right? Making the weapon deal the associated effect(s), and making the artefact protect from those effects? Or have we all just made a bunch of spellcasters super happy? Forging complete, Matthias weighs his purse and decides there is yet more shopping to do. Calling Melquiades again - surely the void master is sick of him by now - the gnome returns to Zeus. "How much for a Shining Polish?"
  19. I think you are bidding way, way, way low there samuraiturtle!
  20. "Shouldn't be too much trouble! Only 300 gold, if you have it!" Matthias nods and hands over 300 gold for 1 Gaia Bomb and 1 Demeter Bomb. 1432 - 300 = 1132 gold remaining Carefully removing the DDSSA, Matthias momentarily dislodges his top hat, and in the fleeting interval as he stands without the exoskeleton, hat in his hands, the New God looks even smaller than normal to all around. But he pops his stovepipe back on his pate, collapses the DDSSA to carrying configuration, and pushes it towards Daneeka. He finds he is not surprised that the Anvil now responds to his hands, not as if it weighed nothing, but as if it weighed exactly the right amount for him. And while it still looked exactly the same size, it also seemed somehow perfectly proportional to the gnome. Matthias lifts it to the light, turns it this way and that, and then sets it down again. "Master Melquiades, I will visit the forge," he says, leaving the anvil in the council chamber for later. Once the dizziness of void travel wears off and only one timeline is before his eyes, Matthias addresses the Forge Master. "I've heard you can forge the ether into gems. I have a garnet, two opals, and a ruby which I would like to work. Is it possible to forge more than one gem at once? I would like to try my mind against both opals and the ruby all together if such a thing can be done."
  21. Wolfgang? Anyone can go Wolfgang. What we really need is BlownApart rep, so Matthias can become Heroica's first PC cannoneer! The Smaller-Than-What-You-Might-Think-Of-As-Humans Alliance (STWYMTOAHA) strongly objects to this kind of talk! Fish are friends, not food!
  22. These make me think of the Time Warden class from ToME4 - right down to the Chronomancer meta-class breakdown into Temporal Warden and Paradox Mage..
