Settlement: Fatu Hiva, Γle d'Or
Capn Frank replied to Capn Frank's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you Kotz. The settlement just needs one more property of any type to be a Large Town. -
Thanks for sharing. I love the classic colors. I had moved this topic to the Pirate Mocs Forum. Please share future MOCs in this forum. Thanks.

December 2017 Account Summary is done. The ship listing in the account summary has been updated to be correct for individuals who had lost ships in the first MRCA. Hopefully everyone else's account is fixed besides mine. Due to interweb issues at home, I've gotten behind. The issue has been resolved, so I can play catch-up.

She's been playing with it already, and it has held up very well. I only recently finished the sails. Hopefully they hold up. Thanks.

This passenger yacht transports notable officials throughout the brick seas. The little vessel has only a couple of marines but is a flighty little vessel. The chipper crew does a great job at leisurely transporting important officials with their precious cargo. The decks are deliberately studly. My daughter really wanted to have one of my ships to play with, so I made this one. Cargo hold and stern cabin easily accessible and the anchor raises and lowers. C&C welcome.

Welcome to Eurobricks. I would love to see images of the vessel. You can use Flickr to upload photos for free. In my experience, a picture would generate more discussion.

The new captain has received lessons on navigation from natives near Fatu Hiva. There, you learn the basics in islander navigation methods, learn to read the clouds and stars, and learn to make islander maps. Hopefully this captain will do a better job of using these types of skills than his predecessor. This was an honest attempt at creating a genuine, island roof. I have a lot of Palm leaves, so you may see other attempts in the future. C&C Welcome. Thanks for looking.

That wasnβt the only problem though, but it has already been resolved. Youβre welcome. Just so people are aware, island bonuses have been automated. I still have to add a few named islands to add, but it seems to be working fine. I wonβt disclose what islands get what bonuses, but the bonuses typically correlate with the islandβs original description.

The settlement's island was listed in one of the properties. As a reminder to all: If you enter anything more than the settlement's name when licensing a settlement, it won't be automatically be added to the settlement. For instance, entering " Jameston, Celestia" for the location of the settlement means that property won't count towards Jameston until I fix it. The goes for misspelled settlements and trailing spaces, so check your spelling please.

You're welcome guys.

Settlement: Weelond, An Holli, Eslandola
Capn Frank replied to Kai NRG's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
It's something that hasn't been automated. Maybe when I'm bored and have time to focus, I'll automate it. Very few people build more than 3 property builds a month. When I see it, I ask them not to do it again. In the past, I've had someone else license my additional properties, or you can wait until the next month.- 80 replies

I note it the account listing, so that your monopolies are automatically calculated based upon the property type and trade company associated with the account.
-
They're in the process of getting fixed. Done. Do @TheCubbScout know what trade company he'll be involved in yet?

[OL - FB] Fatu Hiva Ship Register
Capn Frank replied to Capn Frank's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Created another build for what could be the exterior. Admiral Duke and Captain Kaleb are both leaving with their certificates. -
I won't yell yet. As long as your not in the red for two or more months you're fine. Nice title BTW. It's too bad you don't have a financial institution in Corrington that could help you out. Are poppy flowers red? I like the plantation. I recommend adding some tiles (or greeble) to the roof for some texture.

Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Capn Frank replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Agreed. Lighthouse keepers got paid to keep the lighthouse lit. I wouldn't license it as a residence. People didn't live there and haul oil to the top every day for the fun of it. In real life, these buildings could be maintained by the local settlement, nation, trade company, etc. It's a service (artisan?) that provides shipping (commerce?) a safe passage. It doesn't quite fit as an artisan or commerce, but I would say it could be licensed as either. As long as people remain consistent and not pick and choose based upon parity, they couldn't be accused of gaming. -
