  1. Mr. Phes, What type of pirate wouldn't attack an ITP if it seemed weeker than the pirates' vessel? Then they wouldn't be pirates. :-$ I don't have an opinion of Lego favoring a certain faction. I think us pirates are good guys. X-D Just because we pillage and plunder merchant vessels, torture prisoners grotesquely, get drunk all the time and sleep with prostitutes, don't make us evil. :-P And I'll slit the throat of any land lubber who says otherwise. Arrrrr. j/k
  2. I just prefer it for realism sake, that's all. I like to have room for me pirates between the cannons for reloading. For this ship, it may work having the gun ports this close together if a much smaller cannon was used. It's still a fine looking ship. I'd just prefer if it had 2 less gun ports.
  3. **Scratches his head** ?? 8-| :S How on earth did i post this?? Mr. Phes? N-E wayz, after further looking, the gun ports seem way too close together. I always try to have at least 4 studs between each gun port. Not 2 like shown on here.
  4. In Iowa, there is one county with 0% sales tax. Also just south of Denver colorado, the sales tax is as high as 7 or 8%. But yes nathan, in general the sales tax is between 4-6%. I also am frustrated at the lack of lego stock right after christmas when i wanted to spend my christmas money :-( . All i saw was stupid M***B*** sets.
  5. Nice Islander MOC *y* **writes notes down for his future islander moc** Hey is there a sacrifiing alter on there? That'd be cool if there were skeletons by the sacrificing alter. :skel1: ;-)
  6. I like your cute little cannon. You should post it's pic in the custom cannon forum right here And check out other ppls cute cannons :-D I like how the top deck is removable, i always try to make all decks of my MOCs as accessible as possible too. I like the figure head. It's really kool looking. Though i'd definetely use a black CC helmet instead of a KK helmet. Nice ship! *y* Phred Edit: One more quick thing, the gun deck on the bottom would probably look better if it were 1 brick higher And the top deck staying at the same height. Just a suggestion.
  7. Thanx, I found a different pirate game through that website that looks more developed than Stevie's. I think i found what i'm looking for there too. Mr. Tiber, Well technically the Xebec is mine since it's made with my bricks. X-D I've got the Xebec, my Junk, ,armada Flag ship, la Dame du Loup, a vikiing long boat. My brother has about 10-11 Lego Pirate Ships ranging in size from the CrossBoneClipper ( :-| :-X *wacko* :'-( *n* *n* *n* ) to the BSB. I think i found that one. Though I got side tracked while looking at it and never saved where the websie is. Though i'm sure i can find it again.
  8. Exo-Champ, Is this the Brickwars website you were referring to? I'll have to check it out. Thanx. I don't have to worry about getting pirate sets that much, because i've still got all mine from when i was a kid. Phred
  9. I'm really satified the way they are. I'm not going to use them for anything right now, so I'll probably be dismanteling them soon. If i do think of a way to recoil them, I probably remake the triple guns and post some more pics. Phred
  10. Hey, I was wondering if there are any rules out there for lego pirates. I do know of Evil Stevie's Pirate game and have been there quit a bit. Though, I am wondering if there are any other rules or games that others have made for having ship to ship combat. Or maybe even just mini-fig to mini-fig combat rules. My brother and I are looking to have all our vessels go against each other and see who the better captain is. Arrrrrr! *pirate* Thanx, Phred Edit: List of Pirate RPG Threads: Pyrates the Game My Fleet is Complete Evil Stevie's Pirate Game Big minifig illusion scale ships and ESPG Nice Pirate website for Reference: http://www.thepiratesrealm.com/pirate%20ship.html
  11. I think you are right B. Everything else pretty much has its own thread already. Unless there is something i am missing. (Anyone?) Phred
  12. Looks great simon, I like the un-modified (or barely modified) Eldorado Fortress on the bottom right. The buildings look very very nice. Dunno about the color of them, but oh well it's lego. Lego bricks are colorful. good job *y* Phred
  13. I'm really sure China doesn't ever obey the international copyright laws because of their communist type of economy.
  14. Wow B! You've been busy!! Thanx dude for all the effort you've been putting into this forum. The MOC indexes are great! *y* Phred
  15. So that we can build things with Timber, and i wouldn't want to go to anything built out of Mr. Tiber :skel1: 8-o And Mr. Tiber is definetly not a river. I don't think a river would ever be chosen to be a mod. :-|| **Edit: Yes i know, i'm a big dork. But i'm proud to be a dork X-D .** SFH, This EB thread might shed some light into that question.
  16. Part # is 50 It's a Black Technic Pin with Friction with Towball according to peeron. Then for the center of the barrel i used this:

    Xebec

Dude, Xebecs look awesome! *y* Z, Don't get me started on rown! The only mixing of the older, better brown was 16 1x2 plates under the ore ports, 2 1x2x2 windows, and the hulls. Otherwise everything else is rown. Edit: Test run to see if it's possible to have two thumbnail pics go to a single page: This is by no means anything related to this thread.
  18. Hey i like that design X-D . My brother and I cooperately came up with that design. Here's a close up: Phred
  19. they rotate very smoothly. that was one focus i had when building them. they just don't recoil individually. which i think would be impossible with the cannons that close to each other.

    Xebec

Yes Mr. Tiber that's from the infamous Ship book from the smithsonian. I may be mistaken, since i'm not from europe, but aren't the seas around the British Isles known for their roughness when compared to the Mediteranian? Therefore, a vessel made for calmer, coastal seas definetely wouldn't fair very well by the UK. We didn't think the picture shown, and other Xebecs we saw online didn't have ore hole covers. A book mentioned that Xebecs were made for coastal seas and not for the open seas. And I wanted a Xebec mainly cause i liked the way yours turned out and wanted to see how well one could be built with all my SW sets. (Mainly the sandcrawler and sail barge). Also i found out that Xebecs were extremely fast vessels that could out run and out manuever any other ship out there, but can hug the coast very well too.
  21. Here's where Vader posted about this MOC on EB. This is my first thumbnail link, so hopefully it works:
  22. WOW *vader*, That's some very quality custom work! Are you just going to make the crew? Or do you have any plans to make the Flying Dutchmen as well? Phred Edit: (Hopefully it's OK w/ *vader* that i post this) Couple of Links to *vader* 's BS folders:
  23. Congrats on the promotion Mr. Tiber!! Is temporary or permanent?
  24. i miss grey 8-| . If that's how we really got to bley, that's a really sad and stupid move for lego. :-| Though it explains why the new xwing was white instead of grey.
  25. HEY, ARE THERE ANY STILL THERE?!?!?!?!?!? 8-o 8-o 8-o 8-o What type of sets are availible? I've got a friend in Fond du Lac that might pick stuff up for me when i see him in a week and a half. Edit: Tried calling at that toy store, but i guess they're not open at 12:30 at night. X-D
