Really disapointed Storm and Cyclops are the only new characters. Would it have hurt to also throw in Beast or Jean? Sabretooth or Mystique? Three years into this line and they've barely scratched the surface with the X-Men.

Nice idea. I'd love to see a set with Rogue. The only thing I don't like about the 90s uniform is that Rogue will likely use the Elsa hair that Storm, Jean, Lois, Black Widow and Poison Ivy have. That piece is getting really overused now in the Superheroes line. I think she would look better with the long ponytail that Pepper Potts has. That piece is identical to her modern hairstyle and would add some much needed diversity to the women in this line.

Not counting potential remakes, this is what I could come up with that hasn't been done before: Episode I - Anakin's Home - Coruscant Air Bus - Coruscant Taxi - Gian Speeder - Otoh Gunga - Queen Amidala's Royal Starship - Theed Palace, Hanger and Generator Room - Trade Federation Droid Control Ship - Trade Federation Landing Craft - Various Podracers - Watto's Shop Episode II - Acclamator Assault Ship - Dex's Diner - Geonosis Arena - Geonosis Droid Factory - Geonosis Executioner Cart - Gondola Speeder - Kamino - Magnaline 3000 Airbus - Naboo Diplomatic Barge - Naboo Yacht - Outlander Club - Rickshaw Speeder - SPHA Walker - Techno Union Ship Episode III - Bail Organa's Airspeeder - Banking Clan Frigate - Cr70 Corvette - Emergancy Firespeeder - Invisible Hand - Jedi Temple - Jedi Shuttlebus - Naboo Star Skiff - Senate Chamber | Senate Pod - UT-AT - Yoda's Escape Pod Episode IV - Bantha - Lars Homestead - Obi-Wan's Hovel - Outrider - Yavin IV Rebel Base Episode V - Hoth Ion Cannon - Hoth Shield Generator - Medical Frigate - Rebel Transport Episode VI - Endor Landing Pad and Radar Dish

Hopefully it isn't Bespin, Dagobah or Endor. I rather see those saved for actual sets. Medical Frigate would be my top choice. Either that or the costume from the Star Wars theatrical poster.

Thanks for the descriptions. I'm a little disapointed by the absence of certain characters this year. No updated Palpatine or Grand Moff Tarkin in the Star Destroyer? No Lando and Nien Numb in the B-Wing? No Princess Leia period?

A rotatable head for R2 would only be good if its done like the lids on these barels. I wouldn't want something like the 2x2 turntables where it would be spinning all over the place. Love the idea of a three piece helmet for Darth Vader. Hopefully he'll at least get a new mold in the new Star Destroyer. Too bad they missed the chance to also throw in an updated Palpatine and ANH Leia with the set. Actually on the topic of Leia its a bit of a downer she hasn't shown up in any 2014 sets yet. I really hope the B-Wing at least comes with a General Leia minifigure. It would be nice to get a new variant that hasn't been done before and would complete all the Leia figures from ROTJ (although Endor Leia still needs an update) General Lando and Nien Numb would also be good additions with the B-Wing.

Its definitely a custom. It mentions it in the description.

Future Castle sets - put your hopes and ideas here
wesker replied to Alfadas's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
We definitely need more factions. One of the great things about the classic Castle line from the 80s-90s was being able to expand the universe with the different parties. You can't really do that with the modern lines when they keep reusing Lions and Dragons all the time. I'd also like to see more variety in castle design. All the modern castles look the same to me. I miss the days when each faction had their own distinctive stronghold. -
Middle-Earth Madness - Mount Doom vs Lothlórien [Week 4]
wesker replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Seeing those designs makes the choice all the more harder. I think I'm going to give the edge to Lothlorien since its different from the other LOTR sets we've had so far, whereas we've already gotten a Mordor themed set with the Black Gate. -
What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
wesker replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Definitely the Original Trilogy as a whole. Just about everything you could ask for has been covered from each individual film. There's not really a whole lot left to be done outside of a few updates. I'm kind of torn on ROTS. Its had a great selection of sets, but most of the ships and vehicles from that movie are so obscure and barely on screen that nothing is really memorable. There are some exceptions like the Jedi Interceptor and Venator but even they don't live up to the original Jedi Starfighter or classic Star Destroyer. TPM, AOTC and TCW still feel somewhat incomplete to me. -
Actually Indiana Jones did get two additional small waves after the movie was released.

She will have some role to play at Dol Guldur along with the rest of the White Council in TABA.
-
Doesn't have to be a bad thing. You've just got one extra vehicle and a girly moisture farmer to help populate Mos Eisley.
-
She didn't have the tiara in the 90s cartoon but that was mostly because she was wearing the white uniform at the time. She did have it in both Pryde of the X-Men and Wolverine and the X-Men.

The X-Mansion would be great but that alone won't be enough to complete the X-Men. Look at all the characters we still haven't gotten - Jean/Phoenix, Beast, Iceman, Angel/Archangel, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Rogue, Gambit, Shadowcat, Professor X etc. Then you have villains like Mystique, Sabretooth, Apocalypse, Sinister and Juggernaught on top of that. If the Sentinel and Blackbird were two separate releases we might have scored an extra three of those characters. One X-Men set every two years isn't enough to cover the brand. It looks more like this part:

^ I'm pretty sure the Sentinel comes with the Blackbird and isn't a set on its own.

He could have a bit more bulk but for me its the head thats really throwing it off. If the face wasn't so squashed and printed lower on the piece like this it would look MUCH better: http://i43.tinypic.com/2e48z6f.jpg

The Sentinel looks a bit average. I think they could have done a better job with the head. Even just lowering the face print would make a huge difference. Still at least we're getting one. I'm a bit disapointed the Sentinel is also coming with the X-Jet. I would've preferred them to be two separate releases if it meant getting more characters. Just getting two new X-Men plus variants of Wolverine and Magneto isn't enough.

LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary Minifigure (2014)
wesker replied to DarthR2-D2's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A printed medal would look pretty bad though given how detailed Chewbacca's headpiece is, and I don't see Lego changing the mold just for a Visual Dictionary. We got Ceremony Leia in the last Y-Wing. I wouldn't mind getting her or Luke from the original Star Wars poster though. -
What DC/Marvel Hero/Villain Do You Most Want To See Made In LEGO?
wesker replied to Mr. Elijah Timms's topic in LEGO Licensed
Definitely agree with you're X-Men choices. I think there's a very good chance we'll be getting Cyclops in the new Blackbird. I'd still really want Phoenix Jean Grey the most though. One idea is that Lego could replace the yellow parts of her costume with gold (like Iron Man and C-3PO) to get around the whole SDCC issue. I think it would actually look a lot better and more accurate to the source. -
Episode 7 won't be out until December though. There's no sense in releasing sets for the new movie 6 months before its even released. They're better off having a mix of Rebels and PT/OT sets for both 2015 waves, then releasing the 2016 Winter wave a month earlier in December rather than January to tie in with the new movie.
-
He looks the same as the one from the Death Star.
-
If R2-D2 and C-3PO are coming in the Sandcrawler then there's no point in also including them in the Cantina.
-
Brick built is definitely the way to go, although I wouldn't mind it having a special molded head piece like Modok.
