I don't think we'll see another Hobbit game. The missing levels from TABA are supposed to be released as DLC. There's still the DVD release of TABA next year (theatrical version around April, Extended in December) and the possibility of a combined Hobbit/LOTR boxset so at least there will be something for a final wave of sets to promote. I disagree. The only LOTR set that could have come with a Twilight Witch-King was Weathertop and we already got that back in the first wave.

Plus it gives them the chance to show off Smaug who I'd imagine would be a big selling point.

9 seems a little too much. I don't think the number of minifigures will change much compared to previous waves. Would be nice to have that many though. My predictions on what we might see: Dol Guldur (3 minifigures) - Galadriel - Elrond (gold armour from game) - Twilight Witch-King Lake-Town (roughly 4 minifigures) - Bard (new costume from game) - Bain - Bolg - Tauriel (new costume from game) or Legolas. Wouldn't rule out getting both. Battle of Five Armies (6 minifigures plus 1 molded creature) - Dain - 5 soldiers (Orcs/Dwarves mostly) - Beorn in bear form Erebor (6-7 minifigures plus 1 molded creature) - Bilbo - Thorin - Smaug - A couple of the more important dwarves (Balin, Kili, Fili etc) - Possibly Gandalf and/or armoured Thranduil (reusing Elrond/Galadriel's hairpiece in tan)

Yeah the last wave gave us plenty of orcs in three sets - two of which were cheap enough to buy multiples of. The priority should be with the dwarves.

I don't mind going back to Tatooine again as long as we're not revisiting old locations like the Lars Homestead or Mos Eisley Cantina for the sake of nostalgia. One thing I loved about TPM and ROTJ was they kept things fresh by adding new settings like Mos Espa and Jabba's Palace. Lets see a side of the planet that hasn't been shown before.

I have my doubts we'll see the armoured Elves too. Previous battlepacks only included three different minifigure variations - the hero (Eomer, Thranduil), the good soldiers (Rohan Soldier, Mirkwood Elves) and the enemy (Uruk-Hai, Gundabad Orcs). I think it will just be Dain, the Iron Hill Dwarves and some orcs. Plus Beorn in bear form taking the spot of the horse/warg.

Glad we're getting an updated Palpatine in the near future. I hope the next wave of microfighters also gives us something related to Naboo (some security guards or royal guards in a Flash Speeder would be great!) as well as an updated ANH Leia. Its disapointing that she isn't included in any of this year's sets and her costume is long overdue for a redesign.

Honestly I never even noticed the horns being inacurrate.

I think the main reason is so it can fit the Phantom in the back of the ship.

http://www.newsarama...cture-deal.html Doesn't mention which movies he will appear in, only that he's contracted for 9. If they follow the route of the comics there's a good possibility that

Nothing new regarding the sets themselves, but the videogame has given us a look at some of the potential minifigures we might be seeing in the upcoming wave.

Looks like a fantastic figure. Thanks for the pics.

Bard and Galadriel are the two standouts for me. The Witch-King and Tauriel are both fairly decent too. Everyone else though looks horrible. Really hope we won't be seeing these designs for Bolg and Bain in the actual sets.

Middle-Earth Madness - Mûmakil Stampede vs Dead Marshes [Week 15]

Here's Bolg and a couple others from the Lake-Town level of the game. Will be interesting to see which characters will be included in the set.

With the exception of the missing roof the HYDRA tank is pretty much taken directly straight from the first Captain America movie. Red Skull and the HYDRA Agent seem like better candidates to be included with it. If you're going to include characters from the new movie you might as well change the set itself, and an all new HYDRA vehicle seems a lot more interesting and fresh to me than a rehashed SHIELD vehicle from the Avengers wave 2 years ago. I'm happy with what we got. Besides both Red Skull and Winter Soldier are equally important antagonists and regardless which character we got we would still be missing the other.

Love the new Galadriel. Much better than the plain one that was in the LOTR videogame. Hopefully this is the version we'll be getting in the set. Now if only we can get Eowyn...

I still prefer the look of the first AT-AT from 2003. The problem I have with the new version is that while the body is smaller than previous models, the head is still the same size which makes the overall model look too disproportioned.

Wormtongue's torso print was the same as the figure, only the face was different. The game was probably working with an earlier design.

I don't mind that hairpiece on Storm since it works well with the cape, but I agree it is starting to get overused in the Superheroes line. Would be nice to have a bit more variety with future heroines.

Thanks for the pics. Love how they included those extra slope pieces for the Dewback.

I'm sure we'll get comic book variants eventually, especially with a GOTG cartoon in the works.
