I'd like to see some of those classic 90s-era Space themes return. Blacktron, Space Police, M-Tron, Ice Planet and Spyrius were definitely the peak of the space theme for me. Although I would like to see them retain their original color schemes as much as possible. Don't think I'd be as interested if they drastically changed them up.

Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

Don't care much for the Spider-man mech - but that Venom one looks fantastic! Cannot wait to pick that up! The new classic Spider-man figure looks like a big improvement over the previous version too. Don't mind Spider-Gwen but I would've preferred a more traditional Gwen Stacy since that's the version I'm more familiar with. Glad to hear Lizard, Daredevil and Kingpin are potentially coming - although I'll be a bit disappointed if Elektra and Bullseye don't show up with them. -

The costume and hairpiece was fantastic on the movie version, but I didn't like the face much. The oversized eyelashes made her look too anime-ish like the Star Wars Clone Wars figures and I never liked the mole on her face (or any of the female characters really - what was up with every woman in the movie having blemishes on their faces?). I also prefer the standard evil smile/angry expressions over the weird pursed lips ones. I don't mind this new Ivy figure but I agree it could definitely be better. The darker costume is an improvement over the bright lime green on the original but it lacks the same detail in printing. Going back to the Elsa hairpiece is also a step back since she doesn't have the printed leaves anymore and the mold doesn't quite fit her character as well as the movie version with the much longer, thicker length. -
Love the new Aquaman set. The sub looks a bit more compact compared to the last one but the design looks great and the play features don't detract from its appearance. The movie version of Black Manta looks even cooler than the comic version and I love the realistic take on Aquaman's classic costume. I agree Mera's hairpiece is a letdown - both the color and the overused mold, but aside from that I'm pretty happy with the rest of the figure.

The figure in the new Jedi Starfighter is based on Anakin's Season 1 costume so the shorter hair is accurate in this case. But Luke's mullet does look great for a Season 7/ROTS version. I also think it would look perfect on AOTC Obi-Wan as well, although I would hope they stop using dark orange on him and move towards the nougat color Infinity War Thor uses. -
Amazing how one small change can drastically improve a figure. The darker hair color really goes a long way to capturing Luke's likeness. Not sure why they decided to keep the light tan hairpiece in the upcoming Sandcrawler when all the other sets are using the darker version.

Definitely. Satine and the Nighsisters easily round off my top four most important Clone Wars figures yet to be made. As striking as Satine's main duchess costume is, I'd be happy enough getting the adventure outfit from Season 2/3 to save costs on new molds if it meant finally getting the character. Or even the Invasion of Mandalore costume she wore in her final two episodes. I did a quick mock up of Talzin and the Nighsisters in LDD - again the parts are already there. The only new piece they'd need is Talzin's hood. I'd hate to see Lego miss the opportunity to pull this off with the show coming back (and those heads totally should be glow in the dark)

They were both rumored to be included in the V-19 set that's been reportedly been pushed back. Knowing the show is returning next year does add a lot more credibility to the rumor. Bo-Katan has to be at the top of the list for a minifigure. The trailer confirms she'll be making a return in the Siege of Mandalore arc. Considering she was absent in both the original Clone Wars line of sets and Rebels, it would be a missed opportunity not to finally release her here. Mother Talzin is another. I don't know whether Son of Dathomir will be getting adapted or not but she was such an important villain on the original show it would be a shame not to finally get her. Plus Lego already has all the necessary pieces to pull her off. The only new mold she'll need is the hood.

I disagree on the Hoth Medical Chamber. It has by far the nicest interior build of any Hoth set. Neither Assault on Hoth nor 2011's Hoth Echo Base looked anywhere near as well designed. I can't complain about the minifigures either - these are characters that should've appeared in the UCS set. Honestly the only thing I think could be improved would be the addition of modular elements that would allow different Hoth themed sets to connect with one another. -
I'm hoping with TCW coming back next year we'll get one set based off the Siege of Mandalore arc. It would be the perfect chance to get new variations of Darth Maul and Ahsoka, a realistic styled Captain Rex and a long overdue Bo-Katan. I'm expecting the remaining episodes will just be the Bad Batch and Utapau arcs re-released in their final form, but would love to see Son of Dathomir get an animated release so we can also finally get a Mother Talzin minifigure as well. The only new mold they need for her is a new hood piece - they can easily pull off everything else using these existing parts:

So glad to hear The Clone Wars is returning. I really wasn't expecting that. I can see now why the V-19 got pushed back. Hopefully we'll see some more sets to tie in with the show's return next year. That doesn't really work unfortunately. The Rebels version of Ahsoka has a darker skin tone to the Clone Wars figures so the head isn't going to match the rest of the body. Her facial markings on Rebels are also different to how they were depicted on the Clone Wars. -

I'm a bit skeptical to be honest. Aside from these rumours coming about a month too early, there just seems to be a couple of red flags. The first one being 75230 Ewok Tree Attack sharing the same set number as the 75230 Porg. Then there's the 501st Battle Pack. I know we've gotten named characters in Battlepacks recently - but Captain Rex being paired with Fives, Jesse and Hardcase just reads too much like a diehard Clone Wars fanboy's wishlist. Maybe if there was only one or two named clones with the rest being generic ones I might find it a bit more believable. Then there's the Raddus. Lego has done capital ships before and could easily pull off the Raddus with a similar design to the Malevolence, but sets at that scale only come out in the Summer wave. Unless this is supposed to be the Resistance Shuttle that was rumoured a while back and apparently still coming, but then how can they screw up the name of the set so badly - especially when they're providing an accurate set number? In their defense though - the minifigure lineup here does sound a lot more plausible then the previously rumoured one. -
Bounty Hunter Pursuit Can either include both airspeeders together, or release them separately like Han Solo and Moloch's Landspeeders. Anakin, Obi-Wan and Zam are essential. I'd like to see Obi-Wan updated using Luke's mullet from TLJ and the colour changed from dark orange to nougat. If released separately they could also throw in Jango Fett and a Senator Padme figure. Yavin IV UCS playset around the price range of Assault on Hoth/Ewok Village based on the pyramid. Geonosian Arena Another UCS playset around the same price range as above. Half an arena like the Thor Ragnarok set, some pillars and brick built beasts would be ideal. Padme could also come with alternate torsos depicting both ripped and non-ripped versions of her Geonosis costume. TIE Bomber and TIE Interceptor Not to much to say other than I hope they go back to the rounded cockpit designs of the Special Forces, Inquisitor, Striker and Darth Vader TIE sets that came out the past few years, rather than the blocky look of the latest Imperial TIE from the Solo wave. That includes using the rounded hatch piece on top. UCS Sail Barge Something like the Sandcrawler where it works as both a display piece and a playset for minifigures. Slave I Jango's version is long overdue for an update but I also wouldn't mind another take on Boba's. Its been quite some time since the last system scale version and I'd like to see one that's better proportioned like the UCS set is, including wings that don't hang down so low when the ship is in flight mode. Its also a good opportunity to release Zuckuss and the Kaminoans. Mustafar Duel Playset depicting the Separatists Base on Mustafar. Either UCS or a regular retail set. Aside from Obi-Wan and Anakin it could also include Padme, Nute Gunray and Wat Tambor. Palpatine's Arrest While the original set still holds up I wouldn't mind another take on this. Its a great way to get Saesee Tiin, Agen Kolar and Kit Fisto (who could use a more durable head mold) back on the market. Palpatine could also use an update with leg printing and Grand Moff Tarkin's hairpiece in white. One thing I'd like to see done differently however is Palpatine come with two separate heads like Captain Marvel did in the Avenjet set. They've already got a Chancellor head from the Droid Tri-Fighter and an Emperor one from the Death Star/Final Duel/Vader Transformation. The problem with using a single head with dual expressions like last time means that the minifigure would have very little use outside of that specific set. AT-AT I wasn't that thrilled on the design of the last one. The way the front of the body narrows towards the neck and the wide head made the proportions look really off. I'm hoping the next take on the AT-AT can capture the boxier look of the body better much like the 2003 version and First Order Walker did. A bit more interior space in the body would also be welcome. Queen Amidala's Royal Starship Yeah I'm still waiting for this. Don't care if it has to be done in light grey, I just want to see this set made. Ric Olie, Queen Amidala/Sabe in the black gown and Padme in the orange handmaiden costume would be the main figures I'd like included.

There's quite a few characters I'd like to see updated in the near future: Obi-Wan Kenobi - TPM version needs a proper hairpiece. AOTC could be much improved using Luke's mullet from the Last Jedi sets. ROTS can be updated with Commissioner Gordon's hairpiece from TLBM sets. Its long time they also changed the hair color for the Prequel Obi-Wan figures. Dark orange isn't very accurate and the nougat colour they used on characters like Captain America, Agent 13 and IW Thor would look so much better. I believe they've already used it on the buildable figure version of Obi-Wan or at least a similar colour. Zam Wesell - The only Star Wars character that still hasn't made the jump from yellow skin to flesh tone. She's long overdue. Ahsoka Tano - We got a realistic Rebels version but the face print and skin color aren't really accurate to the younger Clone Wars version. Her Season 1 costume is also pretty outdated and could use an update, although I wouldn't mind another release of the Season 3 version. The new teenage legs would also be perfect for her. Asajj Ventress - We got a realistic Microseries version a few years back, but the face print doesn't accurately portray the modernized version from the 3D animated series. Her purple Season 1 costume is also outdated and could use an upgrade - especially using the new skirt piece, although a Bounty Hunter and Nightsister variant would be welcome too since they haven't been done yet. Aurra Sing - Too notable a bounty hunter not to be released again. A non anime face print is the main reason I'd like to see her updated, but a proper movie version with details not seen in the cartoon (red jumpsuit instead of orange, chains hanging off the belt) would be even better. Shaak Ti, Eeth Koth and Even Piell - The last of the Clone Wars Jedi that haven't had the anime faces updated to the realistic style. Mon Mothma, General Madine, Captain Antilles and Rebel Fleet Trooper - Its been a decade since we last since them and they haven't been updated with the pupil style yet. Mon Mothma could also make great use of that new skirt piece. Rebel Pilots with new dual molded helmets - Wedge, Dack, Gold Leader, Zev Senesca, Wes Janson, Theron Nett, Porkins etc. Aside from those there's just the unreleased characters that are still waiting on my want list: PT/TCW - Padme Amidala (Theed Battle, Mustafar and unripped Geonosis costumes primarily. Other variants welcome) - C-3PO (TPM and AOTC variants) - Boss Nass - Shmi Skywalker - Rune Haako - Nute Gunray (TPM costume) - Bail Organa - Captain Typho - Taun We and Lama Su - Duchess Satine - Bo Katan - Mother Talzin and the Nightsisters - Tion Meddon - Commander Cody (Phase II) - Darth Sidious (Senate Duel) - Mas Amedda - Wat Tambor - Jedi Council Members (Adi Gallia, Depa Billaba, Oppo Rancisis, Yaddle and Yarael Poof) OT - Luke Skywalker (Medical Frigate) - Lando Calrissian (Smuggler) - Beru Lars - Doctor Evazan and Ponda Baba - Garindan - General Dodonna - Red Leader - Admiral Ozzel and Captain Needa - Zuckuss - Yak Face, Tessek and Lyn Me - Nien Numb - Force Ghosts ST - Luke Skywalker (Jedi Exile and Crait/Flashback costumes) - General Leia (D'Qar, Raddus and Crait costumes) - Han Solo (Starkiller Base) - Sidon Ithano - Bazine Netal - Kaydel Connix Anthology - Hawaiian Lando - Dryden Vos - Saw Gerrera - General Drazen - Galen Erso

I remember it being mentioned on here that the length was roughly the same as the original Slave I set that came out back in 2000. So bigger than Microfighter, but smaller than the other system scale versions. -

The new Cloud Car Pilot looks great! Not bothered about the lack of leg printing - I'm just glad we're finally getting one! The new Ugnaught variant looks pretty good too. It will be interesting to see how many characters do get included. Both the Ewok Village and Assault on Hoth came with 17 figures (including the Tauntaun and Wampa) but if this is going to be an extra £100 then I can see the number being pushed up further to 20 figures. I'm also curious if we can expect any new molds with this set? The Carbonite piece is due an update to match the current Han Solo minifigures. Leia would also need a new mold to accurately represent her Bespin hairstyle (with the benefit of also being potentially reused down the line for Depa Billaba). Speaking of Leia - hopefully both Cloud City costumes are included. The red gown is overdue for an update, but the white jumpsuit has never been done before. Unless there's a promotional polybag or Slave I re-release planned for the near future, this will be the only chance to cover both variations. -
They've definitely cut back on marketing her, but I don't think she's been outright banned. I believe there was a Funko Pop figure or something similar that was released as a convention exclusive after the supposed "Disney ban" as well as an inclusion as a playable character in the Lego Force Awakens game so she hasn't completely disappeared. I don't really see it as being an issue for Jabba's Palace as Lego can easily just release her in the Boushh costume like last time. The only place Slave Leia really becomes a mandatory inclusion is the Sail Barge. As long as it's treated as a one-off release (say for a UCS version targeted at older audiences) and Leia is marketed as a hero rather than prisoner I think they can get around it. And lets be honest - her last minifigure really doesn't look anymore sexualized than Aayla Secura or Season 1 Ahsoka's minifigures are.

The Conveyex set looks pretty cool. I like the amount of interior space in the carriage and can see myself picking up another set to extend the transport. The Range Troopers look great and its nice getting the blasters in another new colour. I'm undecided on whether I want the hauler or not. Its well designed but just feels like one of those forgettable sets that winds up taking up too much space and gathering dust. They did a great job capturing the look of Val's figure though and the three aliens look pretty cool. I'm fine with getting another Qi'ra minifigure. Duplicates of the same figure can be annoying over time, but getting existing characters in new costume variations is always welcome. The SDCC Falcon Cockpit set looks fantastic and I definitely plan on recreating it with my own parts. -
There's a few versions of Padme I'm shocked we still haven't gotten yet - Mustafar, Theed Battle and an unripped Geonosis variant. All of which are very prominent in the movies and "action-ish" costumes. When you consider Princess Leia is only about four costumes short of having her entire wardrobe represented in Lego form - not to mention the different variations of Rey, Ahsoka, Sabine, Ventress, Jyn, Qi'ra and Rose we've received - its disappointing that Padme is still getting the short end of the stick.
-
Not too excited about some of the character redesigns to be honest. I think some of Joker's previous suits looked nicer while the Riddler already hit the peak of his design with the LBM figure. I do like Poison Ivy's new face print though. Her costume isn't quite as detailed as previous figures and going back to the Elsa hairpiece (with no leaf printing) feels like a step backwards from her own unique hairpiece from the LBM sets - but that face print is by far the best one she's ever had! Deathstroke looks great though and a classic Commissioner Gordan is long overdue so I'll be happy if those designs do make it into future sets. I thought this piece in green would be perfect. Feels like a bit of a missed opportunity not to change the hairpiece on the classic Joker design.

Quite a few surprises over the past few days. Kessel Mine Worker & Mudtrooper Han Wasn't expecting to see two promotional minifigures released at once. I like the bright colours of the Mine Worker and its always nice to get a new variant of Han. Its a bit hard to tell if he comes in olive green or dark tan, but if its the latter then that hairpiece is going to be very useful for customizing a Rebel version of Kallus. Hoth Medical Chamber This is what I was expecting to see with Assault on Hoth. Not only an essential part of Echo Base with the relevant key characters that should have been included in the UCS set, but also the size and level of detail of the build. For a small set they've done a great job with the design and its great to finally see Leia in a cheap set. The last time I recall was the original Jabba's Palace back in 2003 but even then that wasn't as affordable as this. If I have only one criticism, I do wish these Hoth sets would incorporate some modular elements that would allow you to combine them but still this is a good stand alone release. Advent Calender I'll get the positives out the way - General Merrick looks awesome and nice to be able to fill in another missing character from the Rogue One lineup. A cheap Guavian is welcome too. The rest? Crap. I thought last year's calender was pretty lazy compared to the previous ones but its like they didn't even try this time. No Christmas themed minifigure. Two minifigures that have already been recently included in battlepacks. The same Battle Droid we've been getting for 19 years. A useless Freemaker and a character who's arguably considered to be the worst among the fanbase since Jar Jar first appeared. There's really no incentive to purchase this one this year. Anakin's Jedi Starfighter I love how much sleeker this one looks compared to the original release. The cockpit still sits too high up for my liking, but unlike Obi-Wan's recent fighter this one at least fits in with the exagerated design from the TV show. I also like that they've improved the build of the sides of the cockpit so it flows more naturally with the rest of the ship. Although the costume seems a bit dark compared to the show, Anakin's more realistic redesign is a huge improvement over the original Clone Wars figure. Snoke's Throne Room Count me in among those that likes this set. Its exactly what I was expecting it to be - Death Star Final Dual with a Last Jedi makeover. Its a nice reasonably sized built and the Praetorians are definitely the highlights. Looking forward to picking this one up. X-Wing Starfighter Couldn't be any more happier with how this one turned out. Everything from the sleekness, the new cockpit window, correct astromech position, the thicker wings, the way the engines have actually been built into the wings and just how smooth the set looks just seems perfect to me. Still loving those new dual molded helmets. Sandcrawler Not as good as the UCS version, but at least those that missed out have another chance to get one at an affordable price. I'm happy with the previous release but look forward to picking up those new droids. Bit strange they're still using the light tan hair on Luke. Maybe they're keeping the dark tan version to distinguish the ESB Luke's from the ANH ones? Still think the darker hairpiece looks more accurate. Imperial Landing Craft This came completely out of nowhere. The set looks great and will fit in nicely with the Shuttle Tydirium that came out a few years ago, although the sides parts do look a bit strange with the way they're angled down. Not completely thrilled with the minifigure lineup. While its nice to have all three Sandtrooper variants available, I'm a bit reluctant to collect a huge number of them since the Mimban Stormtrooper sported belt printing instead of plain black hips. Like the Rebel pilot helmets its only a matter of time before this change starts to reflect the rest of the Stormtroopers. Regarding the Rebel pilots - I'm sure we'll see Lego get plenty of mileage out of that new helmet mold in the coming years. The Microfighters have been a great way of pushing out more unique Rebel/Resistance characters. I'm not too worried when it comes to replacing them. -

There is a top-down angle in an alternate pic with the helmets removed from the minifigures and the shape honestly doesn't look that much different from the original mold. Its really just from the front that it looks a lot more rounded than before with the "cheek bumps" removed, but comparing it to photos of the pilots wearing it in the actual films it looks pretty accurate to me. That said we've all become so accustomed to having the original piece for so long (19 years!) that it will understandably take some time getting used to the change, much like what happened with Boba Fett, Darth Vader and Classic Leia's new head pieces when they first arrived. -

Looks like we may have some verification on the Hoth playset rumour. I'm browsing Mario's instagram account and pictured among the leaked Harry Potter minifigures is a Hoth Leia minifigure featuring the same costume from the UCS set but with the standard Leia face from the Death Star/Imperial Shuttle. A new Clone Wars Anakin is also included in the same picture with an updated Season 1 costume and new face print thats similar to the ROTS pilot one but with less lines on the face and grimace expression. There's also a separate post featuring a close up of Bigg's astromech from the X-Wing who is indeed R2-Q2 and not another R2-BHD. -

Really loving the new X-Wing. The build looks much improved over the previous one with the new cockpit, detailed engines and correct astromech positioning. I'm glad we're also finally getting a new Biggs figure and even better - a new dual molded Rebel helmet with transparent visor! I was disappointed it didn't happen sooner when the Resistance helmets came out but better late than never. The only downside is the number of pilots that have now been added to the backlog for updates (Wedge, Porkins, Dack, Zev, Wes Janson, Theron Nett and especially Gold Leader who's unfortunately become outdated as soon as he was released) The leaked minifigures look great as well. Enfys Nest and her henchman look pretty cool and the Praetorean Guard looks better than I had hoped. I'm hoping the TIE Interceptor rumour is true since its been too long since the last one, but I'd like to see it go back to the rounded cockpit designs of the First Order TIE Fighter, TIE Striker and Vader/Inquisitor TIEs. While the new Imperial TIE Fighter from the Solo wave is an improvement over the 2012 version, the build of it feels like a step backwards from the past four releases and honestly looks like a blocky mess. Honestly only one of the remaining helmets needs a new mold - the T shaped one from the buildable figure. The third variant can easily get away with using the existing Mandalorian helmet. -
The Lost World is the only movie in the series that hasn't had any sets yet so I'll definitely be okay if that's what Malcolm will come in. Besides knowing how much Lego loves vehicles in this line, how can they not release the trailer-over-the-cliff scene as a set? Its one of the most memorable parts of the film, has potential to include the whole supporting cast and is one of those rare instances where the actual build wouldn't be useless filler like so many other vehicle-based sets in the line.
