  1. A couple of minifigure heads have recently leaked for some unknown theme(s). I can't be the only one thinking the male one looks awfully similar to Bail Organa?
  2. First thought I had when I saw the male head was Bail Organa. The only downside to that theory is that he doesn't fit into any of the known April wave Star Wars sets that are coming out, unless he's part of an unknown exclusive or summer wave set.
  3. Shame they didn't specify who else will be coming with the Batmobile besides Joker. The Batcave being the standout set sounds promising. Hopefully it can match the quality of the 2006 version which still remains the best to this day.
  4. Slave I needed an update regardless who's version it was as its been almost a decade since the last system scale version. With how frequently the X-Wings, TIE Fighters and Jedi Starfighters are being pumped out with new paint jobs these days I think its inevitable we'll see Jango's version once Boba's has been retired. I'd say Jyn's face print is a closer match to Padme than either Hermione or Leia. I'm also generally not a fan of major characters sharing the same face print in a line either. I can excuse Jyn for being a one-shot character from a few years ago, but Leia appears far too frequently in the line (especially lately) that I wouldn't want her looking identical to Padme. She just had the print changed too so let that remain exclusive to her character.
  5. I think the Gunship face print works fine for Episode I Padme. She practically looked identical in all the prequels despite the in-universe time jumps.
  6. I wouldn't mind that although the downside would be no movie variant of Poison Ivy since she just appeared recently in a set, plus the set's title doesn't sound like its going to include anyone beyond those three characters. Two-Face is going to appear in the Batcave.
  7. It's Jyn Erso's face which has already been reused on Black Widow, Mera and a Jurassic World ACU Trooper. It looks decent enough on Padme but its still not as good as the last face print from the Geonosis figure that was actually based on her character. Still I'm glad we're at least getting a new minifigure of her after a 5 year absence and would love to see her show up in sets more regularly again. Its been great seeing Leia get a heavy push lately.
  8. The previous one had a very basic build of standard bricks and large pieces. I can definitely see where a lot of the extra parts have gone on the new one. The base and the wings in particular both have twice as many parts now. The nose uses a lot of small slopped tile pieces. You have the SNOT techniques and greebling. The green circular ring around the wings has an extra layer of bricks. Thne there's the internal skeleton and underside that we can't see, but know from the description the new set will include a built in handle for carrying the ship.
  9. On another note Birds of Prey is out late this year isn't it? I could see the female hero being Huntress to loosely tie in with the movie, although I would like to see another Batgirl in the near future. Two Riddlers is also a surprise. I'm guessing the leaked lime green torso will be the 4+ version and the Supervillains videogame one will be in the Heist set. Either way I'm looking forward to the new version of him and Mr. Freeze. Good to hear Clayface will be coming in the Batcave. I don't have a preference between minifigure or big figure - just as long as he's not brick built again as that will only take away from the piece count of the cave itself. I'm most interested in finding out more about the Batmobile. "Pursuit of Joker" definitely fills the role of it being based on the 1989 film. I disagree there. The 1989 Batmobile is definitely the more recognizable of the two.
  10. Love the look of the new Slave I! The amount of detail is a massive improvement over the 2010 version and its great to see they've utilized a lot of building techniques from the UCS version. It looks like they've also finally fixed the correct wing orientation in flight mode. The spring loaded missiles also look much less intrusive than the rubber and flick fire missiles from the previous sets. Definitely a worthy upgrade! Wasn't expecting a new hairpiece for Padme as the existing one still holds up but its certainly a welcome addition. Her new torso print is a major upgrade over the last with much more detail but its a shame she's reusing Jyn Erso's head instead of her own. Still a great figure overall. The podracer itself looks decent. Very similar to the last but with more greebling detail. Missed opportunity not including Shmi or C-3PO though. I noticed that too. It does feel a bit lazy throwing them in when they've been using the proper Snowspeeder uniforms in all the other Hoth sets for so long. The new Hoth Rebel also looks to be a lot less accurate than the last version.
  11. Only as a Microfighter and a Polybag. No system scale version unfortunately.
  12. I'm fine with the tentacles being printed. Even with rubber I can't imagine they would've been very durable and the way they wrap around the body would've made it awkward putting the figure together.
  13. The brick built Dewback was for a Microfighter. The whole point of them is having a micro sized brick build to ride around in. Using a large molded figure defeats the purpose of that. I'm sure had it been a system scale set like another Mos Eisley Cantina we would've gotten the molded version again.
  14. If the Royal Guards did get an update I would rather they did away with the capes completely and just used a skirt piece instead like the first Praetorian Guard. It would capture their slender builds and long flowing robes a lot better than the cloth pieces would. I like the idea of them having a new dual molded helmet. I know not everyone likes the new Stormtrooper but the dual molding technique really adds a lot more depth to it than the old printed ones do. You really have to have them in hand to appreciate them. I wouldn't mind the Clone Troopers also getting dual molded helmets down the line as long as the Phase I Clones don't lose the option of having accessories added to their helmets.
  15. Good to hear we're getting a decent number of sets next year. Hopefully The Lost World and Jurassic Park 3 get some much needed focus.
  16. Those Iron Man suits look amazing! The Mark 1 in particular has to be my favorite.
  17. Zuckuss looks perfect! Exactly what I imagined and well worth the wait. The new Finn minifigure looks pretty good too. Wasn't expecting to see the Bacta Suit version but its good to get another variant. Shame there's very little else from The Last Jedi this year. I'm not too keen on the Hoth Rebel redesign. Losing the leg printing feels like a step backwards and the color choices don't seem as accurate as the last version.
  18. Jango's is long overdue for an remake but I don't mind getting another OT version. Its been almost a decade since the last system scale Slave I and that version is pretty dis-proportioned and dated by today's standards. The higher piece count and building techniques seen in the UCS version should hopefully give the ship a much needed makeover.
  19. Love the new Major Vonreg figure. They're really making good use of the dual molding on all these new helmets.
  20. Glad Zuckuss is finally getting a minifigure! Hopefully it won't be too long for leaks of him and Padme to show up.
  21. Normally that's been the case but I thought they changed that last year? There were a couple of sets that got unveiled such as Hogwarts Great Hall, Solo Millennium Falcon, UCS Hulkbuster and the Jurassic World mansion but the rest was what was already available in stores.
  22. Seems like Slave I is going to be Boba Fett's version again. An Ebay seller with some of the leaked minifigures on their store has a Bespin Han figure listed as part of 75243. Same standard face as the Cloud City figure but with the non-dual molded legs from the UCS Falcon. There's also a Stormtrooper Han with the new helmet mold listed as a new 2019 figure but doesn't specify a set number.
  23. Makes sense the Clone Scout Walker would be Kashyyyk themed coming out so soon after the Droid Gunship and AT-AP. Its the only known set in the upcoming wave a generic Wookie would fit into. Still nice to get a new variant even if the differences are minor compared to the Rebels versions.
  24. The torso has been redesigned as well. The new print carries down from the body to the leg piece similar to the Kashyyyk Trooper.
  25. New version of the Snowtrooper has leaked featuring leg printing instead of a cloth kama. I quite like the change as it does make the 2014 version look a bit plain in comparison.
