LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

...I cannot disagree, with Andor being an exception. Case in point, I caught the Solo movie while channel surfing on archaic network television last night (parent's house for the New Year). I found myself watching it to the end and actually enjoying the experience. Apparently I have softened a bit on my opinion of this film...didn't see that coming. I think Ehrenreich and Glover were pretty well cast for their roles. I liked Chewie's performance and Woody Harrelson shockingly fit into the SW universe better than I remember. Underrated film in retrospect? I'm kinda leaning that way. ...also the 75219 AT-Hauler and the two landspeeders were pretty cool sets from solid action sequences. -

"Oh...it's...beautiful!" EK, I cannot repeat it enough - you have achieved greatness here...right down to the ultra Luxe display stand! You are among an elite handful of MOC designers who presented a creation that immediately inspired me to begin gathering parts. In other news, I changed my mind about the interior - I went for the fleet model with aft weapons locker. Due to a small error in a Bricklink order I'm missing a DBG 1x3x3 door so the 'refresher' currently has no privacy But the transparent yellow round tile made me laugh! I'll make a point to post more photos as I go - your design deserves all the press it can get.

Great design for sure! I really like the overall look, and yes, it fits in very well with the general SW aesthetic in my opinion. It seems logical that this vessel would be among different designs - like the sail barge - to take advantage of strong planetary winds in remote regions of the galaxy where energy sources are more scarce than core worlds. I particularly like how the foils retract - presumably for storage in a big hangar. I would consider building this myself if instructions were ever created for purchase. Fantastic work, thanks for posting!

^^This. All day long. Well said, and hopefully Tony Gilroy's 'lightning from a clear blue sky' creation isn't a solitary phenomenon. Unfortunately there's nobody else like him on the Disney/Lucasfilm campus as far as I know. I'm an active part of this resurgence, but I'm not convinced it has staying power. I hope I'm wrong! -

With regard to the smart brick and LEGO's history of dabbling in gimmicky tech, I've always been skeptical. Then Soundwave hit the streets with its sound brick sporting 20+ samples from the Transformers world - specifically Soundwave's iconic voice. I must admit this changed my mind quickly, in that it took an already stellar set to the next level of perceived value. Perhaps miniaturization and no reliance on an app (that's destined to fade away with time) might give this latest round some staying power with respect to light, sound, interactive play, etc... My inner kid would most likely be very excited for a SW vehicle that makes sounds, light and who knows what else. Cautiously optimistic - let's see what they accomplish with it. -

So I took the 'wait and see' approach and I'm not sufficiently wowed. I like the set well enough, but as so many others already stated, it's just not $1K good. The orientation of the laser dish looks great, but the shuttle looks terrible. They gave it a giant baby head and chopped off the vertical stabilizer so it could fit in the hangar. Yuck. Box looks good, so we got that goin' for us...which is nice. Oh well, someone's gonna buy it I guess! -
^^ This bears repeating. With this mod you can still fit one of the droids inside and you get a really good looking Infiltrator - best version to date for its scale if you ask me. Picked up the new K2SO for about $20 bucks after burning some Insider Points.

Excellent! The edge work around the perimeter of the ship looks particularly good - very clean, but with a great mixture of stud and tile. I always liked the 'underbite' of the forward decks of this ship as well as the negative space between the upper and lower sections. I, too, am curious about the C of G with respect to the display stand placement. Will definitely be following this one as it comes together IRL - take lots of pics of the build! Fantastic work, thanks for posting.

Same. I'm more of a 'vehicle guy' so I have never owned any of the DS sets. Depending on the configuration of this one I may or may not be parting with $1K. Based on what I'm reading the odds are 70-30 I'll be keeping my money - but perhaps I'll be wowed. -

^^ ...but would it look better than this one?? Just a click away from instructions. -
Couldn't pass up the new UCS Slave 1 - once completed it will replace my 75060 currently on display.

[MOC] Imperial Landing Craft (Sentinel-class Shuttle)
lowlead replied to Artizan's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nice! Good to see this vehicle get more MOC representation. I think this is the first time I've seen the 'official' Sentinel cockpit version - very nice construction technique. Another challenging shape to achieve in LEGO and all the angles and tapers fit together really well. I also like the grey plates integrated into the vertical fin - breaks up all the white very well.
