At the 1:34 mark there is a nicely paced presentation of the dorsal fin construction. My version differs, but the primary dimensions are the same: 9 studs on top, using the 3 large slope elements, 3 inverted 1x2 slopes in the front and 6 1x2x3 slopes on the aft edge. Then I just filled in the remainder with spare parts I had on hand.

Looks great! Better than the official LEGO version. I especially like that the wings are geared to deploy simultaneously. Lots of room inside!

Option 2 I was shocked - in a good way - that the discussion generated 16 pages in such a short time. I'll make a valiant effort to read all of it. I'll be brief. The saying good fences make good neighbors comes to mind here. Inclusion with some structure may be the best way to proceed but I will likely skip or speed read any topic regarding non-LEGO subjects - I'll never say never, though. $ .02

Absolutely gorgeous - king of the haulers in the U.S. I had to smile when our recent World Cup guests were floored by all the variation in the trucks parked at Buc-ee's If there were ever a way to get all the chrome parts I would build one in black immediately. Awesome work!

A few more tweaks for those following 75459 mods: • Dorsal fin width increased by 1 stud to accommodate a 1x8 tile on top, additional texture detail • Added detail at fwd fuselage cannons and surround, including the new 1x1 bow element • Revisited Quarrie's Workshop mod to close some gaps at the cockpit • Added 4 1x2 plates with rails to function as stoppers to prevent over-travel (due to added mass) of the wings in flight mode

Love it! Not sure how I missed this back in May. Either way I really like the detail on the hangar floor, as well as the abstract Yavin base structure. Lots of great detail in the walls - I could only imagine how great the whole monument would look given this treatment. And the beach chairs, of course!!

I'll be honest - I don't particularly care for this in-universe design, but it's always interesting to see alt builds using only the parts from a given set. After a glance at some reference material, you captured a Nu-class quite well! Nice video presentation, too - thanks for posting.

Thanks T12V This is by far my favorite ship in the SWU. From my perspective the new fuselage design made it a worthy platform - which is why I'm not too bothered spending $140 on a set I have to modify. Oh well, it certainly isn't the first time *cough 10212*

Fantastic destroyer all around! Great presentation and photography as well. • Impressed with the thought behind the design - from the fold back panels to the hidden carry handle. Very clever. • Your persistence paid off with the main drive engine design. Great detail surrounding the drive engines as well. The disc shooter bricks work really well for detail, too. • The stand design is pefect - simple and functional. All this with a full interior. What's not to like??! As you mentioned, this is a perfect option when display space is limited. Nicely done, thanks for posting this!

Thanks joebiewan. This mod is a mash-up of various ideas. The cockpit redo is nearly all from Quarrie's Workshop mod (link provided above). I re-shaped the folding wings following his mod as well. The dorsal stabilizer I just filled in after adding the 3 fwd inverted 1x2 slopes and the additional 1x5x6 large slope. The engine exhaust is slightly modified so the trans-light blue tiles are recessed. Other than that, the fuselage remains unchanged - including the interior. I would definitely recommend this set if you're a fan of this vehicle, as the fuselage design is brilliant and tough as nails - wouldn't change a thing in that regard.

Tweaked the proportions and adjusted to my liking. Credit to Quarries Workshop on Rebrickable for the folding wing and cockpit changes.

I admire your patience - Lambda shuttles are my kryptonite. I have a couple 75459 copies that were just delivered to my work address and I probably won't stop with just two. I like Quarries Workshop mod (now available on Rebrickable) and I'll mess around with some of those changes. Congratulations, btw, that's an impressive accomplishment. What is your field of study?
