  1. After further investigations I can confirm brick 4737 is missing. So... there are missing bricks other than those listed above!! @Superkalle: can you realize a lxf file (and a screenshot) with all LDD3 brick missing in LDD4? It would be very useful to understand what we lost with this new release! However I don't understand the removal of bricks that was perfectly working! Bah...
  2. It seems brick 4737 has been removed! I opened my polaris lab in order to fix flexible hoses issue and... Sigh.. I never will be a complete polaris lab!
  3. Argh I can't use "draw lines on bricks" and "put advanced shading to max" on my notebook! Why to lock that function? It would be useful for screenshots even if too much heavy for the machine while working!
  4. After a little testing, my opinion is... conflicting! I like new features, but at the same time I've the sensation that something has been lost. But perhaps Some notes: - search function: finally it is! Something to improve, however: for example if I write brick 1x1 the filter let bricks 1x10 appears. So I tried to add a space after x1, but I didn't obtain what I wanted. - names for colours: that's great! Now I only have to learn new names... I'm accustomed to peeron's colour names. - flex tool: It seems to work fine, but I can't apply it to all flexible elements (such as flexible axles). As these pieces are flexible but need to be "hooked" to maintain the form, I tried to use hinge connection tool but with no success. Great idea to point out in the palette flexible elements. - Brick categories in Universe Mode: many brickas are not placed in their category, but in a "?" one. - Some decorations in Universe mode: has not been corrected. For example road signs are wrong still. - Groups: I hoped in some groups new function, but I don't see that. Need further investigation. - Selections Tools: Selection tool is a bit... lacking! I hoped in a combination of present types and some new type. - Portable version: no portable version... what a pity!
  5. Great discovery, the page shows the availability of LDD 3.1 still. I tried to launch the installer... no chance to have a portable version as I hoped! Later I'll test it!
  6. Index issue described here has been fixed. Check your sets to verify everything is right.
  7. It is not forbidden to make a set that another user has already done. Thanks for reporting that, it helps me to create the index! PS: could you delete images from quotes?
  8. Warning! In the index, sets from post 623 to 705 are missing. I don't know why, but there was some sort of issue (probably my fault). I'll fix the problem as soon as possible.
  9. @Daedalus304 Could you delete the image inside the quoted text in post #858? Thanks Images are used to identify a new set that has been added. So, according with topic rules, it is possible to insert a single image for a single set, while all other images can be inserted as links.
  10. Very strange... I've not indexed that! No one informed me about that? I've to annotate to add it...
  11. Very good, do you think to add a simple import function that manages number and colours in the next version of LDD Manager? It would be very useful to generate official lego sets! Besides, LDD already supports pre-generated files whose palette contains only the pieces necessary to built a set. It would be great if LDD Manager would be able to create these files. Obviously, that would be useful only if these files would be accepted by LDD! PS: I noted that in Bricklink inventory, colour column is missing! That could be a problem to generate pieces lists...
  12. Superkalle, can LDD Manager import a piece list from Bricklink and then create a lxf file containing that pieces?
  13. Index updated. 3 new Themes added 46 Sets has been added to the index (12 alternative, 2 incomplete). Check your sets and report errors or inaccuracies! 2 Sets has not been added to the index because irregular. Fix your sets in order to be added! Topic's Rules Updated. Please read that again! List of Irregular Sets: (image exceed maximum size) - 6689 - Recon Robot - by BrickWild [FIXED] - 6835 - Saucer Scout - by BrickWild [FIXED] Please check previous irregular sets, as reported here. It would be a pity if that sets would not be inserted in the index.
  14. You should insert a link to the image instead then show the image itself inside the the post. So image will not appear in the post, but it is easily reachable clicking on the link! Obviously that's only for the "extra image" of the winter town, not for images of official sets.
  15. @BrickWild I like that spirus sets! I've that, so I was thinking to realize that in LDD, but you come before me! Important: Images of both 6689 and 6835 are irregular. Can you resize that? I'm going to update the index, so I'll insert your sets if you regularize your posts. PS: same issue for some previous sets. See here for reference. Thanks! @yellost Can you insert the image of the "little christmas town center " as a link? @ILikePi Echo base is 7749 and not 7745!
  16. What do you mean exactly? Obtain a portable version is not so simple if you only have the binary. There are software that "emulates" a virtual environment, other than track what the software writes in other places than the software folder and save and restore that every time you close/open the application. So, with a bit of work you can obtain a sort of portable version, but it is not a real portable version for different reasons. I have a LDD 3.0 portable version of this kind. So I'd like a true portable version for LDD 4.0
  17. Ehm.. ooops... I miss the note! However even little error in links create weird problems inside a post in this new forum: something similar happens to me in the index some time ago, and I fixed it finding an error in a link!
  18. I fear to do it again.. it crashes all my WinXP!
  19. @Aanchir Check your post, there are problems with link of set 20008, and some sets are doubled. @yellost Yesterday I tried to connect the cables and I did it quickly for the lower cable. When I'm trying to connect the upper cable (with much more difficulties) LDD crashes my pc (I clicked on the menu when the Hinge tool was working and... patatrack!), so I've not the file saved!
  20. Perhaps there is some issue with my English! With "Portable" version of a software (for windows) I mean a software that I can put on a device suck as a pen drive or an external hard disk and execute it on every machine compatible with that software (every windows machine), because it works only inside its folder. It would be very very useful for me, but it seems it was not on the roadmap. Maybe this additional time could be used to make a portable version available (it is not too difficult to obtain a portable version from a standard one). A version for a mobile device (based on android for example) could be interesting, but now I have not a device capable to run that.
  21. That's a good news, I hope they use this time to improve again this version 4.0. I ever hope in a portable version.
  22. SETs UPDATE: Still updated most of my sets using correct old colours instead than new ones. Here is the list: - 5928 - Bi-Wing Baron - By Calabar - 6075 - Yellow Castle - by Calabar - 6073 - Knight's Castle - by Calabar - 6067 - Guarded Inn - by Calabar - 6074 - Black Falcon's Fortress- by Calabar - 6360 - Weekend Cottage - by Calabar - 381 - Police Station - by Calabar - 6932 - Stardefender 200 - by Calabar - 6972 - Polaris-I Space Lab - by Calabar - 315 - European Taxie - by Calabar - 6382 - Fire Station - by Calabar
  23. Oops... I think I'll have to check all my sets Thanks!
  24. One important note: remember when you update a set to report and highlight this update, in order to inform all user interested at the file. And remember to add a link to the post where the set is. Old Gray colour? I thought LDD didn't support old colours, so that in all my creations I replaced old grays with new ones. How to obtain old colours (OldGray and OldDkGray instead than MdStone and DkStone)?
  25. I think the official sets in LDD should be "usable", so every missing piece should be replaced with something that makes the set complete and good-looking. So, every time it is possible, we should use pieces as similar as possible and with a colour as matching as possible with that pieces that that pieces should replace. Replaced pieces and custom bricks should be intended as pieces that designer of LEGO would have used if original pieces would not be available.
