  1. Not just trains, but train related. I built a small blast furnace. I comes with all the main process features except the storage bunkers and crane. This model (3k) is a downscale from a much larger model (13k bricks) to make it suitable for Lego Ideas. Had to reduce the size of the picture a lot to be able to add it. If you are interested in more pictures, please have a look at the linked page. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/7e689689-cd51-4f10-9e9f-ead01adae6b8 just posted but can't see the picture, what did I do wrong?
  2. Hey guys, I decided to create this topic and the main idea came from this and this post (so special thanks to @danth and @Digger of Bricks!). I would like to highlight three things before I start to post inspirational MOCs: I’ll post three staff picks everyday! Please feel free to post your favorite MOCs! Have fun admiring and taking inspiration from those great MOCs Top three MOC’s IMO in Baroque architecture: 1. This incredible Baroque Church by @Jellyeater! 2. This amazingly detailed MOC by @pj_bosman! 3. This greatly shaped modular by @cimddwc! Here are the three best Baroque MOC’s IMO! What do you think about them? Would you buy modulars like those if TLG made? Here are the Steampunk ones: 1. This incredible layout made together by @castor-troy and @domino39 (they also made one MOD of the PR and the MS and two MOD’s of the CC included in this layout. But they look so different that they are more MOC then MOD). EB topic here and Flickr albums with more photos here, here, here and here. 2. These great Steampunk modulars by @adde51! 3. These very interesting modulars by @Zilmrud who as well made great MOD’s of the PC and the BB! Here are the three most gorgeous Steampunk MOC’s IMO! What do you think of them? Would you buy modulars like those if TLG ever made?

    Variety of Vans

I found a chassis for a van in 779333 LEGO Education Vehicles Set and am using it as a base to create a variety of vans. The first two I've completed are a simple red work van and an animal control van. I'm also working on a TV van based on 6553 Crisis News Crew, an ice cream van with parts from 70804 Ice Cream Machine, and a work van to go with 60054 Light Repair Truck. I'll post updates for these when I have them finished.
  4. I started a small number of freelance commissions last year and I appreciate the idea and would like to pursue the concept further. It would improve my creativity, working in a constrained time frame, collaborating with others and building a portfolio of designs towards my main ambition of becoming a product designer. I'm currently struggling on what is a reasonable rate for each commission. I was thinking of 0.50p / 0.75p per LEGO element (postage NOT included in quoted price.) The price will cover the labour and time in designing the concept and service; additionally the cost of the LEGO elements themselves. NB: I'm not taking any commissions yet; these are just early concepts. My LEGO Creations: https://www.flickr.c...157645785522606 Insights and suggestions would be appreciated, Adeel
  5. Often when I have LEGOs out (on display etc.) they get dusty, how do you dust between all the studs? It's really tedious to use a tissue to get between each stud, are there any better ways? Any suggestions would be welcome! Have a nice day fellow humans!
  6. Hello EB :) I've been gone for some time, mainly due to studying. Since my finals are almost over, I decided to try some MOCing again. The following creation started as an afternoon exercise in wall building and finished as a medieval woodworker's workshop. I wanted to build it slightly bigger, but ran into piece count constraints, as I have a limited amount of my collection at my university flat. Still, I'm pretty happy with it. The carpenter is currently engrossed in a procedure of transforming the two raw planks into a new chair. Behind him, there's a barrel with raw wood and a fully carved chair leg on his workbench. Closeup: Comments and critiques welcome!

    XT4 Revamp

Flickr | Brickshelf "The new TX4 model is an improvement of the older XT4 model. TX4 stands for "Tougher XT4 with 4 spinning blades". The TX4 models are easily reprogrammed to fit all your needs, from slicing vegetables to taking over the galaxy. " ~Makuro Industries The only way I wanted to revamp XT4 was by giving him a spinning function. Because all cartoon robots that have sawblades can do that, right? Those panels at his head were added to give his body build an "X" shape with the spinning function at the intersection. And spinning function because that was the whole idea behind this.
