The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
Mr. Elijah Timms replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I agree. That service is in place to help people with a legitimate claim to a missing piece, and it works very well as it is. People who abuse the system are only going to ruin it for the rest of us who play by the rules. Please stop using it as your own private rip-off service.- 2626 replies

WILEY FUSEBOT for the win. Love this fig, even if I'll be swapping out the head and hands to make him human later tonight. Some great figs in this series.- 2626 replies

Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Mr. Elijah Timms replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Maybe we can start a drive to collect and sell all of the bricks we'll have from horrible vehicle designs that we never built because we just bought these Spidey sets for the figs? We could put it towards a trust fund for the kids of whoever signed off on these weak sets...- 9756 replies

There's one obvious way to let TLG know our collective distaste for the Spidey-vehicles... I mean, who really needs a Power Man anyway?!- 9756 replies

Just picked up the Bug Obliterator at half price, thereby completing my collection of a theme I was originally uninterested in. TLG, you could've had a gold mine on your hands here if you supported it if even a fraction of the way you did Chima!! If you pushed the Green Team bed sheet sets or the Solomon Blaze torso zip-up hoodie, this theme could've been an absolute success! Oh well, Happy Christmas to me!

Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Mr. Elijah Timms replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
As of March when that Spidey-Copter set, I'll no longer be a Marvel SuperHeroes completist. No way I'm wasting my hard-earned money on that joke. Love the Cap set, and I'll prob. get the Hulk lab for he Taskmaster alone.- 9756 replies

I find myself suddenly obsessed with Galaxy Squad sets, just in time to get them for amazingly great holiday deals. That said... I'm on the fence with the Warp Stinger. Anyone have any pros or cons on the finished build?!

Built the 60055 lime green Monster Truck, and luckily only paid $6 for it with the BOGO. Man, what a small set-- I've built poly bags that feel more substantial. It's not a bad model, and my primary reason for choosing it so early was that sharp lime green racing torso-- but that MSRP $10USD price point is set grossly too high.

Wow... Power Man, Falcon, Nova, Iron Fist. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we'd end up with these guys before the FANTASTIC FOUR or the X-MEN.- 9756 replies

Action Themes Halloween Winners!
Mr. Elijah Timms replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Huzzah! Hats off to everyone for making this place so much fun -
Either way, such a shame that yet another excellent theme fails in the wake of branded competition from in-house. For the second straight year I've found myself scooping up the flagship set of a SciFi theme I initially had no intent on getting into... But the quality of design, parts and figs were just too excellent to pass up on the Galactic Titan. Still on the fence of whether or not it's a better set than the ADU Earth Defence HQ, but for 30% off it was a no-brainer. Wonderful set, wonderful theme.

I once hid from a crooked dock worker disguised as a ghost in a bog by submerging myself completely underwater except for one minifig head, which I used as a snorkel. True story. Or wait, did I see that on Scooby-Doo?!

I have so many favorites, but if I have to pick one, it's not even close. BLACK FALCONS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!! -
Okay, friends, I'm starting to plan out the 'Black Friday' and Christmas spending, and quite skimpily, it boils down to: 60026 TOWN SQUARE or 70709 GALACTIC TITAN?

Action Themes Halloween: Spook Central
Mr. Elijah Timms replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Couldn't everyone who made a Spooky Avatar receive a tag for their efforts?! There were so many great ones, it seems a shame that so many will go unrewarded at the hand of a random draw. Also, nice job on the whole promotion, Peppermint!! Seems like a mountain of work, but we all enjoyed it! -

Videos are very well done-- too accomplished to just be a YouTube promotional piece. IE this thing has a good chance of showing up as a D2C retail video. {SNIFF SNIFF}. What's that I smell? An exclusive figure?!- 9756 replies

Attack of Native Americans
Mr. Elijah Timms replied to spartanec2011's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Really well done!! I might suggest you change out the hair of the warriors from Mohawks to black female/long hair molds for historical accuracy, but otherwise it's a beautiful & incredibly detailed creation. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures - The LEGO Movie Series Discussion
Mr. Elijah Timms replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The more I look at them, the more I wonder if the hairpiece on that 'Fusebot' pioneer-looking guy is actually... A COONSKIN CAP? If it's just his hair, why is it the same color as the beard?
