2006 Batman (Classic Black Suit) Minifig Question
Brickus replied to jnm7880's topic in LEGO Licensed
2006 was the year LEGO stopped producing parts in Korea and started making fabrics and specialised parts in China, but no normal minifigure parts were made in China at the time. So, no the figure is not made in China, apart from the cape. -

Anyone who has this set, noticed that the EU version, lists China as the first country of origin, with Denmark, Hungary, Mexico and the Czech Republic following. Does that mean that most of the set is comprised of Chinese parts?

Spotted The LEGO Movie DK books in Big W today except the one that comes with the fig. The Essential Guide was $14, and the sticker book was $12, I didn't catch the prices of the Junior reader books. This can only mean that the sets are around the corner. -

Has anyone placed an order for this, had it shipped, not received a tracking number, but it still says 'in process' when you check your order status. Something is seriously wrong with the new system they implemented.- 158 replies

LEGO parts made of Chinese plastic?
Brickus replied to Henchmen4Hire's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm in the same mindset as you, I wouldn't mind paying more if it meant all those pieces weren't coming out of China, but realised I was missing out on so many awesome sets, that I have come to accept it, even though I still dont like it. However, If LEGO starts producing sets that are made entirely in China, I'm going to give up the hobby completely, because there will be nothing to set them apart from the rest of the toy manufacturers. I also like it when reviewers take photos of the box where it states where the parts are made, I just wish they would do it more frequently. The only theme that I can think of, that does not use Chinese parts is the Hero Factory line, except for a few sets that use rubber bands, and the jet turbine piece from the City planes, the sets are the Dropship from wave 1 and Speeda Demon from 2012. As a general rule of thumb, any set that contains highly detailed/specialty moulded mini fig parts (Chima lion heads, Thranduil's headpiece, Batgirls headpiece), big figs (Hulk, Rancor, Wampa, Cave Troll) rubber bands, fabric capes, Friends figures, Power Functions parts, anything that was introduced in the Collectable Minifigures line (3L bars, new nurse mini fig hairpiece, most of the new accessories), and any part that comes individually bagged, you can pretty much expect that the set will list China as a product of origin. -

Just noticed on the Big W website that they are selling the EVO Walker from the Hero Factory line for $15, but they show the picture of the EVO XL Machine, the dearest set. Could be another situation like when they were selling the Monster Fighters Castle for the price of the Hearse. -
LEGO parts made of Chinese plastic?
Brickus replied to Henchmen4Hire's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Cloth, including capes and fabrics, and any CMF part that appears in normal sets, are most certainly made in China -

Thanks guys, By that reasoning I also should have received my order last week. This is my response from LEGO. I'm sorry to hear your orders haven't yet arrived. We haven't changed the way we shipped parcels. However, we were recently informed by DHL that there is a delay with orders that have recently been shipped out because of an issue with the plane. Therefore, your orders may be delayed an additional 3-5 working days. I'm so sorry for any disappointment this has caused. -

Hey guys, sorry if this is off topic, but did anyone place a S@H order after Boxing Day and have not received it yet. My order says it was shipped on the 2nd of January and approved at the Alexandria bulk lodgement centre on the 7th. Is anyone in the same boat as I? Also on topic Movie mini figs at Myer Maroochydore. All felt and numbered.
