  1. Hi Jan, Thanks for the review. So I think I've better to buy a second one. I think a standart actuator will do the job. But where I can buy one outside from Canada. I don't want to buy by paying 50€ tax again. I've found this shop: http://www.robotshop.com/eu/en/l12-linear-actuator-100mm-ev3.html It seems to deliver from France, is that the shop where you've bought the standart actuator? And how did you mount it on the boom, do you have pictures or even an LFX file? I'm still on work to modify the superstructure, with a deep mount point as blakbird has shown it some post before. Greetings Alex
  2. It looks very cool in blue color But for that I've to buy a lot of parts... Greetings Alex
  3. Hi gerger, I still didn't have tried the "add assembled image" command, I've just finished to step the CAD file. And I've created the mechanical/electrical scheme: So now I'll now go on to organize the instructions in LPUB - and build the model. But one question: Is it necessary to take V2 receivers? I've only one of them. And I already must buy a second servo motor and a few other parts.... Greetings Alex
  4. I don't know the amount of my technic parts - but it takes a half wall ca. 2x2 m only boxes, most of them are completely filled. And a whole shoe bag only pins (without bushes) an another bag only axles. And tons of wheels! I wonder what I'll do with all the wheels, I only use some of them. My sorting method: The more I get parts of same type, I can use bigger boxes where I don't need to sort sort them by color, because at one point it's easy to find the necessary needed parts. Only rare parts I sort in separate small zip bags(like gears in other colors etc) It's rare that I run out of parts, because after some time I disassemble the set to build something new. I simply don't have the place to stock sets/Moc's. But nevertheless; I have regulary to buy new parts to build a new moc, you have never the all the parts you really need. So it's true: You never have too much parts Greetings Alex
  5. See here at post #36: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=92669&st=25 Greetings Alex
  6. Which BI? From the GMK6400 with suspensions? They are complete, I've only to make some additional notes as Therion noticed that there are some building steps not very clear, but he didn't have any problems to build it. Or you mean the crane without suspensions? I'm just on work to create BI for it too. From effermans' superstructure I've only the CAD file. Greetings Alex
  7. Same here, I've 5 of them too. Greetings Alex
  8. It's now some years I build Technic models. The first set like the 9397 and the 8110 were complex to build, because it was new for me (pneumatics, PF). As I was young, I've built the first Technics set like the 853 etc. But today I search new challenges, because after built lost of the new sets, it becomes a routine. But now as I've got a very big amount of older technic parts, I have to build some older sets like the 8437, 8479, 8545....and I've planned to build the 8868 too. It's amazing how much complexity and lots of functions models can have with less special parts and studded bricks. I gegin to explore the 90's technic era, and it gives me more experience in building. And there were some special interesting sets like the control sets, racers, space shuttle, Bare Bode set....that makes me think that the 90's were an experimental era. That's I've missing today, the modern sets have more or less the same building process with over-simplified instructions. Greetings Alex
  9. Incredible construction! As amazing as the braiding machine, a must build At the first view on the part list, I've all the parts available that I can build it. And many thanks to have made professional instructions. Looking forward to you next creations Greetings Alex
  10. Thanks! I understand what you mean. Yes, it's not very clear when to connect some submodels to the main model. So, I've still to learn handling with LPUB As all pictures are already exported, I don't want to make all new, it was to much work. But I'll reviev all again and make the necessary text notes. An instruction update will follow the next days. Greetings Alex
  11. I know about this problem, and I don't know why LPUB doesn't show the times to build. But I can correct this manually by making a note. Can you show me an example? Some submodels are to big to figure as callout on the model page, that's why I made an own page for them. I didn't have problems with a 2L axle. But your are right, it's too short. The best will be an 2.5L axle in black. Thanks Greetings Alex
  12. Congratulations! So I suppose that there aren't any errors in the instructions. But you're pictures have very good quality, so I'll take some of them for the instructions update; still on work with the Firgelli actuator. And I've already on work to make the instructions for gerger's carrier without suspensions Greetings Alex
  13. Got 18 kg technic parts by ebay! For only 500€ ! Lot of parts and some complete sets from 8064, 8828, 8022, 8479, 8485, 8825, 8818, 8856, 8868, 8862, 8857, 8275.... See here: (Sorry for the bad image quality) So the next days I have some time to do with washing, sorting...and building Greetings Alex

I followed this topic the last days, and the longer I see this amazing and excellent model, more I want to build it. But first I'll have to make same Bricklinking I've only a few blue parts. Or I should it build in black or red. Greetings Alex
  15. Same here. Until now I've only built pure technic models, but now I get the taste for welldesingned and detailed models in style of the model team sets. And this MOC is an excellent masterpiece which is worth to build it - and have instructions. @M_Longer: If you need any help with instructions, just ask. Greetings Alex
  16. Total agree. What's the problem to spend 10-20$ on instructions if you spend lot of money in parts? I often see, that lot of people don't have an imagination how much time and work good instructions needs. @M_Longer: Stunning and excellent model Greetings Alex
  17. Hi gerger, Keep on good work You'll make the cabling by LSynth? That will be not easy, I'm still not able to make a correct cable wiring I'm looking forward to your new carrier construction Greetings Alex
  18. I've made an LDRAW Conversion of effermans' crane superstructure. From most LFX files 98% were correctly exported in LDRAW. I used the BI mode to control for missing or malplaced parts. It wasn't easy to combine the submodels to the whole construction as I don't know how to place them in exact position, especially for the counterweight. But I think it must be ok. Here is the result: The LDRAW file can be downloaded here: http://www.bricksafe.com/files/afol1969/Big_superstructure.mpd. The file is not stepped, only in separate submodels. I've used LBG color for the counterweight, it brings more change in the construction color design, and I think, for make the building, it's easier to get/ have parts in LBG. While making the LDRAW conversion, I noticed that efferman made an excellent work in design and function, so I think it's worth to build it - and maybe somebody will be a volunteer to make real BI . Greetings Alex
  19. @keithlon: Use a finer string, for ex. in nylon. @kisper: Check the gear placements in the construction. I've built gerger's crane with a heavier and longer boom, and I haven't any problem. And control your actuator functions. Greetings Alex
  20. What a beast! I see I've still to buy lots of red parts to build it. Or I'd better to build it in yellow.... Greetings Alex
  21. You should it make like me: Make your own christmas giffts in buying Technic sets/parts (Just bought the 5571 Black Cat for 199€ ) Greetings Alex
  22. Happy new year all together As I noticed that some people seem to have problems to find the Grove GMK6400 instructions, I post the links again in this thread. Instructions: http://www.bricksafe.com/files/afol1969/Instructions/GMK6400_1.2.pdf LDRAW file: http://www.bricksafe...ons/GMK6400.mpd There are 3 separate part lists: carrier, superstructure, and the RC unit. Note: in the superstructure part list there's a part in LG, which should be LBG of course. (Corrected, new file online) Next time I'll make some boom lift tests with the Firgell actuator. If there will be successful, I'll include the modification in the instructions. Greetings Alex
  23. The 136 pages instructions are them I've made from the gerger's Grove GMK6400. And there are 3 separate part lists included: carrier, superstructure, RC unit. See link above posted by efferman (post Nb. 261) The LDRAW file is available too. Greetings Alex
  24. Hi, Jan, Thanks for the suggestion. So I'll wait for the results with 2 actuators. So the standard Firgelli can be purchased in France? I didn't know this, but if so, it will be fine, because so I'll need to pay high shipping costs. Greetings (and happy new year) Alex
