Hopefully if Metal appears in another set Lego will think to update him better. -

Shame Metal uses normal minifigure arms and legs. Not even dual molded legs. I wonder why Lego didn't use the prosthetic leg mold from Echo for Metal Sonic. (Granted they'd have to make a mirrored version. Which might not have been in the budget) If I do get this set. It'll be on sale. -

Am curious why the launcher doesn't have the spring printing anymore. (Cost cutting measure/ You'd already have it from the first wave?) Campfire set is a bit lame yea. I'd personally would have scrapped the launcher and thrown in another build instead. Not every set with Sonic in it needs that Launcher. Shadow vs the Biolizard is pretty cool though. Though I hope we get pics of Metal Sonic soon. -
Custom LDD bricks and fixes
Takanuinuva replied to Equilibrium's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Found the issue. It was part 5660 https://bricksafe.com/files/stephan3321/ldd-new-parts/5660.png Removed the files for it and the head folder works fine. (I don't really use star wars parts so I can work with my LDD as is for now) Did notice the Ninjago minifigure parts weren't included with this update. Guessing a later update instead for them? -

Thanks as there doesn't appear to be any files from today in said lodo file. I did restore my lodo file so I have everything even the bugged parts. For the record I did what I've always done with the other updates Copy and paste the DB and Pallete folders from the update to the main one. -

I did that and it basically removed most of the parts from LDD visually And even then It still crashed when I opened the head folder. Not sure what I'm doing wrong exactly? -

I downloaded the supposed fixed update. And also had that crash error loading the parts LXF However I think I did find some of the issue. In my ? Mark folder is the new leg part, Mini hook and baymax's arm. Along with some shock absorbers. I don't really have a need for them. So I'm fine with just leaving them there. However I do also have the crash issue with the heads folders. And not exactly sure what exactly are the g files I'm supposed to delete. -

Possible. Though I've tried making a smaller scale transforming Optimus. And the main issue I've run into is hiding the hands in truck mode. And having a decent flip out head. The larger scale of the current Optimus gives more space to hide robot parts within the truck cab. Plus also being up to Lego's quality of play with sets. If you go smaller. You run into stability issues. -

That could work Though I do wonder if the new prosthetic leg would work for Metal Sonic's legs. It's either that or he gets new molded legs. (Also bringing back the robot arm from the Agents line would work for Metal.) -

Have to wonder if Metal Sonic is brick built or not. As while a Minifig would be accurate scale wise. Just using the Minifig Torso and Legs for Metal Sonic wouldn't be accurate appearance wise. The Cyclone is Tails' transforming plane. So I wonder if it'll either transform or have 2 builds (Plane and Walker) Doubt it would happen but would be nice to get Omega in the Campfire showdown (Though he could also appear in the Biolizard set. Even if it's not canon) -

Black part between the dragon armor and the hunted armor. Part 41811 Row with the ice samurai armor Edit: Nvm I thought it was in LDD but searching for it. Nope -

Very Nice (Though I think the Parachute part is already in LDD. Unless it's printed now) -

Could also be the return of Pixal. And Zane and her have vehicles that combine into a mech. -
Upon a second look at the sets. It appears Baby Mario and Luigi do use the Minifig Torso. And odd choice considering the system the use for the Toads would have worked. I wonder if they have legs as well. Edit: Correction they're using the Toad body style. Brickset didn't have all the images.

Fair enough. I was moreso thinking that stuff like the enemies would require new molds alongside the minifigures. Where as stuff like Sonic and Animal Crossing just have a few new molds each being mainly the heads. You can't exactly brick build a minifig scale Goomba or Koopa
-
There is also the fact that if Lego went Minifig scale. That would be a lot of new molds that would be hard to use in other themes.

Does the windscreen still need to be removed during transformation? Otherwise is is a really great Mod/Moc.

Man I hope Becky the Bear gets released in more Sonic Sets. I want to collect all the animal buddies and it being in only 1 Sonic set and it being one of the most expensive ones really makes finding one for cheap hard. -

Wasn't Bumblebee advertised as not requiring parts forming? -
Unless Lego changed how the 1x1 brick with studs on all sides was molded. 60407 Red Double Decker Bus uses an illegal building techique. https://www.lego.com/cdn/product-assets/product.bi.core.pdf/6521768.pdf Step 116

Btw I've noticed that https://img.bricklink.com/ItemImage/PN/86/32828.png doesn't like going into technic pins. It doesn't go all the way into https://img.bricklink.com/ItemImage/PN/7/4274.png even with collisions off. And it won't even attempt to connect to pins like https://img.bricklink.com/ItemImage/PN/11/6628.png. Having connection points with technic pins would be nice to have since it's a legal connection IRL (Save for the 3L pins. Mainly the shorter friction based ones)
