    Japanese LEGO....

Looks like they've attached a breathalyzer so that there's no playing while drunk. XD

    Tron Helmet

Yeah needs come down further. The eyes are little high (no pun intended) and the chin needs to be lowered.

    The Laws of Gravity

Nice, I like the neck crunch on the end shot.

    Hi

Your English is fine! It’s better than my Brazilian Portuguese. :P You only used "maid" instead of "made". And that's it. Both sound the same but the first is a person that cleans something and the second is the one that you were looking for. “Made”, as in to build something. :) Welcome!

Be sure drop in the "Girls Stand Up Thread" http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2729 Lady FOLs are a bit rarer than us boys, so I'm sure it's always nice to meet other female fans. Welcome! :)

How long before you take apart a set?

I think you're going to have answers ranging from within seconds to years. This might be asked in the form of poll unless it's already been done. instantly 15 minutes 30 minutes 60 minutes 2 hours 6 hours 1 day 2 days 7 days 1 month 2 months 6 months 1 year 2 years 5 years never Or some thing like that. :/

Living near a Lego Store Sucks

I've had the same problem. After joining a LUG and doing Window displays regularly I haven't seen inside my local TRU in about 6 months probably.
  9. Best thing about being offline on April 1 is logging in on April 2 and seeing all the suckers that didn't notice what day of the year it was. God bless America!

How to post pics on iPad?

Photobucket is great for free volume and image codes for various purposes. Flickr is better because that's where the majority of the online community is. I use both. ;)
  11. That's pretty surprising for such a common and name and that it rhymes.

    Collecting UCS vs "regular" sets

I've run into this problem too. I starting collecting in 2000 right after the 1999 series came along. Though by the time I realized I hadn't got all of the 1999 and 2000 sets it got a bit costly to chase some of them down. And there were several that personally weren't worth buying in the first place, the Bucket Set for example. So then when the UCS stuff starting coming out I bought a couple but soon realized that their price tags were just going up and up. So I decided to just buy Star Wars sets with Minifigures thinking that would solve the problem but then they released several UCS sets with Minifigures. So I gave up on the whole complete collection thing and in the mean time Lego keeps updating their contract with the Star Wars line. So in the end I have to say. Decide what your goal is the sets. If you want to build and play, stick to the Minifig stuff. It's to build and display only then the UCS is great because there’s only a few sets and you can save up to buy only a couple sets per year.

    WIP: Carrack

MOC looks great but you should consider eating less butter while MOCing.

    Canadian Eh?

That and any time you're starting a new business, club, etc. you never want to have, "Well when we were a Zellers we used to do it this way." Which happens a lot. Always best to clean house and hire "new" staff. You might hire some of the same employees but that way there's a clear break between the old store and the new store, the old way and the new way etc.

    New to Eurobricks!

Welcome fellow Canadid. :P As my wife says to her friends, "I'd rather see strange charges on our credit card bill from BrickArms & Lego.com, than from Cheetahs Gentlemen’s Club & Motel 8." Remind the lady you could spend time quietly building Lego or out the clubs with the boys. Whichever she prefers. XD

Need some better lighting in your photobooth. The whole image just feels grey. MOC is nice though. :)

    Africa Theme

Yeah I've been after TLG for years. Every time they do one of those AFOL surveys I always put: New themes: Safari, Zoo, & Rainforest (And ancient civilizations.) Based on their most recent one when they asked for specific apposing sides of good and evil to be played out, you could tell that this would not play out well in the above themes. Let’s see who are the bad guys in Safari Theme. Hmmm, poachers. “Let’s kill people that kill animals!” Wait that might not sell too well. Let’s see who are the bad guys in Zoo Theme. Hmmm, zoo keepers. “Let’s kill people that enslave animals!” Wait that might not sell too well. Let’s see who are the bad guys in Rainforest Theme. Hmmm, mining companies. “Let’s kill people that burn the forest for gold and oil!” Wait that might not sell too well.
  20. I played the crap out of my old ones. So they’re aged through love. Since I've started collecting again in 2000 I haven't had any issues beyond sun damage and poorly designed connection points on the Star Wars droids. An occasional hand will crack here and there but happens fresh out of the package once in a while.

    Brickworld - Chicago 2013

I'm registered. Planning on bringing something. Not sure if I'm going to have my Mega MOC ready by then. :/ I got the same answer. So I looked around and got a room at the Marriot one mile south for about half the price ($69.95 USD). I figure with that kind of savings that will pay for my gas there and back and probably even a taxi each day if parking is bad.

    Canadian Eh?

Ricecracker is a bit bias. Fairview does have largest wall and therefore in theroy has the best selection. However Sherway's shift manager Mel takes special care to provide a good selection of pieces and Sherway usually has a list of all bricks in stock, even then ones not on the wall. But in both cases be sure to talk to the staff. Let them know what you're looking for. I'd plan on doing to Fiarview and if you can't find what you want then stop at Sherway on your way back out, assuming of course that you're coming up through Buffalo/Niagara. Though I'm guessing you've already headed back south. Yep Vaughan Mills.

    MOC: Insect Collection!

Thanks. I was thinking about how some butterflies have a tear drop on the end of their wing and it hit me. Fishing poles and whips! :D Glad to them use the technique and improve it with abdomen piece. Though I still like my antenna more than theirs.
  24. It's be nice if Lego did some full hologram/light trans blue minifigs. Palpatine, Yoda, Obi-wan, Vader, maybe a clone/stormie, Leia, a wookiee, Luke. :D
  25. Goo-Be-Gone and Mess Master is what I've used at work places.Takes stickers right off of most retail products.
