Are these scans/photos available anywhere else still for download? The site mentioned appears to be non-existent now.

    Review: 79003 An Unexpected Gathering

An absolutely spectacular review of one of my all-time favorite sets!

The Fellowship of the Ring Collection.

I absolutely love the way you've laid out your reviews and the detailed work you put into them, especially with all of the fantastic graphics! I would love to see a similar treatment of Thorin's Company for all of the Dwarves and Bilbo like you did here for the Fellowship.

Great updates to a really fantastic theme!

    MOC - LOTR Helm's Deep

Very nicely done! I'm a big fan of taking the existing official sets and modifying/expanding them into something grander and I think you did an excellent job of doing exactly that!

    Cellar of Saruman

I like it! Definitely invokes the scene from the movie.

    Moc LotR Diorama

Looks absolutely fantastic all set up!
  10. Very nicely done! Some of the builds are quite inspired, the Argonath, Minus Tirith, and Barad Dur are all great. I also like how Hobbiton came out. Some of the other builds don't quite stand up as well for me personally, and it feels like Edoras and Orthac really ought to be in there as well.

    [Moc] Classic Forestmen

    Very nicely done!
  12. Big happy hellos! I'm Chris, a late 39 year old AFOL from the beautiful state of Oregon. I grew up playing with LEGO and never truly lost interest in it throughout my adult years. I only had a "soft" dark age after my son was born where I didn't buy much of anything for myself, but did still buy LEGO sets for my son. In the past five years or so I've gotten more and more active back in the hobby and have been buying many sets for myself (my collection is still meager by many standards, but I've been really enjoying it all the same - https://brickset.com/sets/ownedby-pxchris) I have also more recently started getting more into the whole idea of MOCs and just this summer displayed my first one at our state fair here in Oregon. I'll make a post about that later. I started getting a bit more active in the community this year with the Brickset forums and decided it was time to branch out a bit more, hence my joining up here on Eurobricks. I'm also planning on attending my first convention (Bricks Cascade in Portland) this February with my son, who is now 15 and still thankfully very into LEGO (we've attended Bricks Cascade for a number of years as just expo attendees). I look forward to getting involved here at Eurobricks and the LEGO community at large to an even greater extent! Thanks!!
  13. Wow, I absolutely love what you've done with this castle. I also really appreciate the progress updates as you continue to build it up more and more and make improvements. The interior details are really great and the overall look from the outside is just beautiful!

    [MOC] Wolfpack Renegades Motte-and-bailey

Love the throwback vibe. Wolfpack was a great theme and I wish that it'd gone a bit bigger.

    [MOC] Imladris

Very nice! Would be great if you could get some more color into the build though. But visually it looks quite beautiful!

    A big hello from Oregon

@BaneShake out of the LotR sets, my favorite is definitely the Tower of Orthanc. Helms Deep is another really great one. My overall favorite set from that universe those is technically a Hobbit set, and that's #79003 An Unexpected Gathering. That set is just absolutely fantastic! Here's a pic of my collection:

    A big hello from Oregon

I actually just recently was able to complete that series of sets. Took me a while because I was always searching for a bargain, but I actually managed to get most of the sets at or below their original retail price. I certainly had wished though that I was actively buying at the time and had picked them all up new from the store!

    Olivia’s Get-Away

Great build! I especially love the roof and even more so the chimney!

    A completed theme

Yes, I actually would like to add that to the collection someday! I do have The Hobbit game which is fun as well.

    A completed theme

The Lord of the Rings theme is one of the ones that really got my interests back up to a strong boil when it comes to LEGO collecting, but unfortunately for me, while the sets were still on the shelves I was much more focused on other pursuits (music collecting mostly). Well, I was finally able to just recently complete my Lord of the Rings collection and now have all the sets and minifigures! I got them all set up to snap a few pics last week. Pretty darn happy with them. (I do also have some of the Hobbit sets, especially 79003 which I have multiple copies of, as well as the whole of Thorin's company, but this is just Lord of the Rings sets.)

    A completed theme

I only included the Dimensions figs & side builds because in my own mind they are to be included in the complete-ist minifigure list. I do have some (though not all) of the other non-building set LotR items as well. I've actually been looking for a copy of the instructions for the in-store treasure hunt sword build. I have the pieces for it, but not the photocopied instruction sheet.
  22. Very nicely done! Is the second scene from the left in the rear supposed to be a pod-racing scene? I love how well the Sandcrawler works out in the micro scale!

Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion

As much as I would absolutely LOVE to see Lord of the Rings return to LEGO, I have a really hard time seeing it come to pass. Perhaps with the TV show there is a tiny glimmer of hope. I was actually quite (pleasantly) surprised that LotR even made an appearance in Dimensions. Lord of the Rings is one of the themes that have really helped bring me back into the major collecting realm. I actually just recently managed to complete the full series!

[MOC] The Golden Hall of Meduseld

I've been following you on Instagram and this is definitely an imposing build! I absolutely love the gold and brown colors together. I feel like you really captured the structure well.
