    MOC: Mountain Train Tunnel

It loooks cool! I want to do one as well for my layout but, on the top of it, I want to move my airport. I may take some inspirations ;)

    Abbey ruins

When I was a child, I did not pay much attention on how I was using my lego and what kind of stickers I was appliying on them so I have a lot of white pieces that are quite yellowish and ruined. I was almost going to throw them out when I realized that ruins exist also in real life and I decided to build a sort of historical centre for my still very work-in-progress town. The subject I decided to build it is an Abbey but one can do practically everything. Some pics here: https://lh3.googleus...17 16.04.44.jpg https://lh3.googleus...17 16.04.34.jpg https://lh5.googleus...17 16.04.15.jpg https://lh5.googleus...17 16.04.02.jpg You can see I build a small ticket office and there is a quite short queue to enter. Maybe the model is not so interesting but it can be an idea for using your ruined bricks!

    Abbey ruins

Thank you guys! Maybe in USA there are little examples of these ruined abbeys but look these pics: http://brunel.ac.uk/~hsstnns/pictures/Yorkshire/Whitby0.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_lEVW2kUYdLs/TC2PQzTG8LI/AAAAAAAABoQ/FxbMLXJCZ88/s200/Bolton+Abbey+ruins.JPG These are in UK. Regarding the color, white marble has been used a lot for italian churches (Duomo in Milan, Santa Maria Novella in Florence) but, besides the color, the main idea was to use the ruined bricks,

    MOC: Countryside train station

Hi guys, as I am starting a new small layout which should represent a village in the french countryside, I decided to build a small station to host the intercity train to Paris. The exterior mainly consists of 3 blocks with different slopes, some flowers decoration and some lights. Note that the size of the station as well as the color choice are limited by the economical funding of the village (not so much at the moment). The sticker are self-made but I think essential for a station. Some pics here: https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink Unfortunately the interiors are small and the priority was the facade so there is just space for a small waiting room and the ticket office (downstairs) and the control room (upstairs): https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink What do you think? I hope to finish soon the Intercity train I am building and post some pics here

    MOC: Countryside train station

Thanks guys, I am planning to build all the layout in this "classic town" style. Maybe cause I can do only this kind of small MOCs . I am also planning to change my other station: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=80195&hl=skystorm87#entry1535061 which belongs to my older layout I have in Sicily but I have to wait to be there to brick it! Soon I will publish more details on the trains and on the bridge you might have seen in some pics

    MOC: DB electric locomotive e103

Super Locomotive! I like it very much. And great the "vintage" picture with the 9v train wallpaper

    MOC: Ferris Wheel

Absolutely amazing. If TLC would have designed this model it would have been an amazing piece to collect!

Lego Creator Expert 10234 Sydney Opera House

It is indeed an amazing set. Now I am very confused! I was almost sure to by the LOTR tower of Orthanc but this looks absolutely great and I cannot effort both! On top of this you need a lot of space. I think this can fit in a lego city quite well. Even if we are very far from the minifig scale, they wouldn't look too much out of scale. What do you think?
  11. [pid][/pid]199A Hi! I've started a year ago to build this layout, trying to recreate the typical Mediterranean atmosphere of the pirate age. I come from Sicily and there, during the 17/18th century, small villages had been built to enhance fishing activities, mainly to support bigger town usually built on the top of the hills. Medieval castles where used mainly as observation points. The defense where minimal and often pirates could take everything easily from the village. Talking about Lego now, the island is composed by two MOCs: a fortress and a small port, the medieval market village and the London escape: The basement have been made using sea stone. I know this can sound very wrong for some AFOLs, but currently I don't have enough money to buy so many small pieces to create a similar effect (which I like) . The two ships are the Imperial Flagship and the Queen Anne's Revenge: Some other pics here: Other pics I'm curious to listen your comments and suggestions to expand the layout. :pir-sweet:

    MOC: central station

Hi, the arrival of the (two) Horizon express suggested me to change all my layout to fit the new train in it. So I decided to do a central station based mainly on the 2150 but, as always, I am restricted to the colors which I have in my collection up to now. The rest of the layout is still very under-construction and I am planning to buy some of the modular building series to make a nice downtown. Here you can find some pics of the station: https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink I like the look overall, the only problem it is the color... too reddish. I will try to change the windows and make it grey as the windows on the lower floor.

    MOC: central station

In Italy and in France we use to have still very small station compared to the trains which stop there. But if I would have infinite money and infinite pieces the station would have been bigger for sure.

    MOC: Ancient Greece

Unbelievable. This should definitely go in a museum of Ancient History. You should think about sending your pics to the Parthenon museum in Athens. I think they will be happy to fund you for a copy to be hosted in the museum.

    MOC: central station

Yes, the fiirst thing I tried was to cover with some roofs part of the platform. I still intend to do this. For example I like the model Paris St. Lazare: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/51/Gare_Saint-Lazare_vue01.jpg/800px-Gare_Saint-Lazare_vue01.jpg which is more in line with the classical style of the station.

    Review: 10233 Horizon Express

I got two of them but I have to wait until the end of the month to make them running. Small problem: my station is too small to ti six carriages train!!

    10233 Horizon Express

I just got two of them and I already bought the two 9v engines I need. The only thing I didn't understand is how to add lights to my train if I use 9v system. Is it possible to use the set 8870 with a 9v motor? Thanks and bon voyage :)
  23. Hi Pirates! I just got the Whitecap Bay 4194 and I have to say that I was very unsure if buying it or not! But anywway I needed it to complete my layout (pictures soon ) And now I have to say that it is absolutely amazing! There are a lot of "useful" bricks if you want to build mocks, large bases and long dark grey bricks. The minifigs are great, especially the murmons which are exclusive and also the small boats are very very nice. Not to mention all the playability features! So if you have children, don't think too much and buy this set maybe together with the QAR

    MOC - Small Airport

I think the Aircraft investigation will be necessary anyway. I was thinking to destroy my city and make a great airport with a nice airport train station, but then I realized that I prefer to expand the city and make the airport slightly bigger but not huge. Actually I think is even to big for a village of 100 Lego inhabitants

    MOC - Small Airport

I think I will try to make something like this:
