JopieK Posted June 21, 2014 This is the newest LEGO inside tour set: the LEGOLand Billund small gauge train. Interesting articles on the train: Brickset 1000steine (in German) NewElementary Flickr images Looks very nice in my opinion, we see that they are still making tracks like the mining series (based on the old 12V tracks, without the notches). I think they did a great job, too bad that it will be very hard to get for most of us train fans!
Gioppa Posted June 21, 2014 Not a good set, it is expensive , no Motor and no tracks...
paul_delahaye Posted June 21, 2014 I guess this could technically be considered the most expensive train ever released by Lego
JopieK Posted June 21, 2014 @Gioppa, it could have been better, I like the idea though! But apart from that, they made it just too easy for me this year :)
lightningtiger Posted June 21, 2014 I wonder if we can get the instructions for it.....it's kind of cute !
JopieK Posted June 21, 2014 since the partslist is already available, you can probably figure it out ;)
danny316p Posted June 22, 2014 I'd rebuild it from my own parts if it didn't use those 1x1 clear tiles (exclusive to the LEGO House so far, but soon to be released elsewhere).
KringlesBricks Posted June 22, 2014 Stickers...really. At least make printed bricks for an "exclusive set" I mean, come on! I would probably rebuild it with my own bucks, too, that's if I decide to sacrifice my own bricks for the build.
TAFOL Posted June 22, 2014 I'd rebuild it from my own parts if it didn't use those 1x1 clear tiles (exclusive to the LEGO House so far, but soon to be released elsewhere). There are also 4 trans-clear 1x1 tiles in Trevi Fountain (3 + 1 spare), according to this New Elementary-post.
JopieK Posted June 22, 2014 the numbers aren't stickers but printed. Apart from that, I think LEGO should have included more tracks indeed. Good reason to introduce narrow gauge straight tracks.
Man with a hat Posted June 22, 2014 It looks nice and has a very classic look. But to be honest I don't mind not being able to get it.
JopieK Posted June 22, 2014 Now also in LDD: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showforum=128 I think I have it 97% accurately, there were some issues with the locomotive though that I could not figure out.
danny316p Posted June 22, 2014 There are also 4 trans-clear 1x1 tiles in Trevi Fountain (3 + 1 spare), according to this New Elementary-post. That would be the "elsewhere" I was referring to. That set isn't out yet.
JopieK Posted June 22, 2014 But don't worry, they are available at bricklink
