Skystorm87 Posted July 24, 2013 Hi guys, as I am starting a new small layout which should represent a village in the french countryside, I decided to build a small station to host the intercity train to Paris. The exterior mainly consists of 3 blocks with different slopes, some flowers decoration and some lights. Note that the size of the station as well as the color choice are limited by the economical funding of the village (not so much at the moment). The sticker are self-made but I think essential for a station. Some pics here: https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink Unfortunately the interiors are small and the priority was the facade so there is just space for a small waiting room and the ticket office (downstairs) and the control room (upstairs): https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink What do you think? I hope to finish soon the Intercity train I am building and post some pics here
Hobbythom Posted July 25, 2013 This has that classic town feel all over it. I like the fact it is a small building with a large platform. It reminds me of the older catalogues where you would see large diorama's with official sets in them.
timmyc1983 Posted July 25, 2013 Very nice little train station, I love the roof and the colour scheme works really well! I like the stickers too, you haven't gone over board with them, they're just right Great job all around and happy building

Skystorm87 Posted July 25, 2013 Thanks guys, I am planning to build all the layout in this "classic town" style. Maybe cause I can do only this kind of small MOCs . I am also planning to change my other station: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=80195&hl=skystorm87#entry1535061 which belongs to my older layout I have in Sicily but I have to wait to be there to brick it! Soon I will publish more details on the trains and on the bridge you might have seen in some pics
1974 Posted July 25, 2013 Nice! One small idea though .. attach the red roof plates with these pieces instead (BL : 6044 - comes in white as well) :
