M_longer Posted March 4, 2009 V-LV-27D Few days ago I’ve bought 8159. I liked those mudguard pieces, so I build something with them for the first try. I’ve also used my black 20x30 wheels. The drum uses three of them. The chassis is articulated, so it’s fun to roll on trough desk ;) The model is quite simple, built just for fun ;)
Asuka Posted March 4, 2009 A very cool steamroller, great in size and proportion and simply lovely. Although I like the design of the driver´s cabin I still think that an accurate access to it would be cool... hmm, speaking about coolness... how about some 'pimp my steamroller' contest? More power on!
Carbohydrates Posted March 4, 2009 I like it! Very nice parts usage on fitting the exhaust in there and I like the solution for side mirrors as well. Nice MOC!
Aliencat Posted March 4, 2009 Very cool roller, it looks neat, clean and sleak, and fun to roll around the desk :) Good job on the details like the side mirrors and the exhaust pipe, those really complete this MOC.
Freddie Posted March 4, 2009 I honestly think this looks better than LEGO's own roller, because this one has a completely smooth surface on the drum. But smooth drum or not, this looks nice. Thanks for sharing!
General Armendariz Posted March 4, 2009 That is very good It looks like a set TLG would release.
MetroiD Posted March 4, 2009 One word: lovely. I just love to see such small yet intricate MOCs and yours is truly amazing. Well done mate!
AgentRick Posted March 5, 2009 Shouldn't the back wheels be smooth as well as when the front smoothes the tarmac or Concrete, the back is going to leave some marks in the back.
Ricecracker Posted March 5, 2009 You've done it again M_Longer! I love all your work, but I must say, this is one of your better ones. I love the compactness (No pun intended), and like Aliencat said, the small details really move this from great to outstanding. Very well done. Shouldn't the back wheels be smooth as well as when the front smoothes the tarmac or Concrete, the back is going to leave some marks in the back. Actually no. as you can see in the following picture, many rollers/compacters actually have treaded wheels.
prateek Posted March 5, 2009 this is better than the real thing
liquidcross Posted March 5, 2009 I honestly think this looks better than LEGO's own roller, because this one has a completely smooth surface on the drum. Definitely agree. I might have to try to build this one myself!
