Trekkie99 Posted January 31, 2019 (edited) I built this for my "Midiopolis" topic over in the Town forum, but I decided to mention it here as well. The wheels are part number 38799 which at the moment is only made in white and is decorated for use as a tea cup saucer for a Harry Potter minifig. Rail Co Posted January 31, 2019 I love the detail for the small scale. You really captured the back design very well! -RailCo
Trekkie99 Posted January 31, 2019 Thanks everyone! I'm working on other trains as well in this scale, so I plan on turning this topic into a broad showcase topic for all my Midi Scale trains.
scruffulous Posted February 1, 2019 (edited) Would it look better with the wheels flipped to the other side so the "flange" is smaller? Edited February 1, 2019 by scruffulous
XGBC Posted February 1, 2019 looks really realistic despite its size. do you still make monorails? XGBC

At the moment due to how the model is designed, this isn't possible. However I did flip the wheels just to see how it looks, and I wouldn't personally say it improved the appearance. 6 hours ago, XGBC said: looks really realistic despite its size. do you still make monorails? XGBC Thanks! No not as much. I was more into designing the mechanical aspects of the monorails, and not so much the cosmetic stuff. While the latter has almost infinite possibilities, the former doesn't. Also, I'm so satisfied with my First Monorail Design, that I almost don't feel the need to make any more. If however I get a new idea for a monorail, I'll definitely pursue that idea!

XGBC I've given some thought into a 4 wide monorail, but didn't have much luck. Would love to hear your idea!
XGBC Posted February 1, 2019 (edited) yes ive been trying that too but so far i did not suceed so i asked you as a more experienced monorail builder to try that. XGBC Edited February 1, 2019 by XGBC

This model would have been done ages ago had I settled for what I have now vs trying to place the details I've added in into more preferred positions and places. But aside from that, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Also as mentioned earlier I've turned this topic into a broad Midi Scale Train MOC showcase topic so I can post all my Midi Scale Trains in one place in the Train Tech Forum.
