Captain Braunsfeld Posted July 19, 2018 (edited) A group of Eslandolean mercenaries has arrived on Île d'Or. A bit tired of their journey, but curious about what they will find out. And attracted by the smell of smoked salmon. They are visiting the islanders who are running a fish trading post at the seashore ("Sam's Salmons"). The chief "Rum'Or" is known to be knowledgable about things going on on the island. The fish is usually fresh... ... the chief Rum'Or is the deal maker... ... crabs can be bought too ... .. and they got a totem for marketing purposes. This is what it looks like before our heroes have arrived: I forgot to introduce the mercenaries, who are busily hacking their way through the undergrowth: Swash Buckler. A well-known Pontellian sabre-fighter with an Errol Flynn-like smile (if you know that I mean). Scarlett Pontellinova Also known as the black widow of Pontelli. Ram Brandt He used to sit as a model for Pontellian painters in his spare time. .. and last but not least: Clara Brickinson, sister to Colonel Brickinson. And what did they find out about the terror going on in the jungle? Stay tuned! LM71Blackbird Posted July 19, 2018 Yay! More of your fun building style! Nicely done and good entry to the challenge!
Ross Fisher Posted July 19, 2018 Were you tempted to get hold of the new unikitty base plates? They'd make really cute clouds.
Bodi Posted July 20, 2018 Looking good, I like the brick sky and the totem.
Keymonus Posted July 20, 2018 Great build! The palm leaves covered hut and the totem are very nice. I'm sorry it's very similar to what I built for the challenge (natives smoking fish, baskets of lobsters and crabs, a native fishing), but I think they are quite different all the same… probably it's true that great minds think alike I've just noticed the hidden monkey… funny detail! I wasn't really aware of the unikitty stuff. Well, they are clouds. But how can I break this to my custom made clouds? Thanks. This is the monkey in the background: You've built something similar? Can you post the link? I have not been able to find the entry.
Keymonus Posted July 21, 2018 I haven't published it yet, and, even if the theme is more or less the same (my indians are smoking fish), the builds are very different. I only didn't want you to think that I copied your own work, since I will publish after your build another buid with natives fishing!
blackdeathgr Posted July 24, 2018 Another trademark build from you CB! A funny story and I am quite astonished of the sheer amount of fish in this build (rather than monkeys) @Keymonus Keep the smoked salmon rolling guys! I just love that fish!

I don't think I have a monopoly on fishing natives On 7/24/2018 at 9:48 PM, blackdeathgr said: Another trademark build from you CB! Well, a fish trading post would have to have some fish, right? (and there is a custom monkey in the background eating a banana)
