Noting the young Paladin’s concern Boomingham grins and slaps him on the shoulder. “What’s got you worried? She’s only an original Veteran who should be dead. What’s there to be scared of?”

OoC: I guess I usually travel with higher level parties - are we genuinely nervous about the battle? Open to suggestions! I won’t cry if we don’t get a chance to fight her right now.

OoC: I don't know if we can take this. It's been a while playing Heroica and can't remember fighting an enemy like this before. But let's try anyway, we can still run if needed.

Eric eyed Lady Luck, measuring up his opponent. She seemed incredibly light on her feet and there was something about her that belied incredible nimbleness. This wasn't going to be easy. The Nord cracked his neck and then attacked Lady Luck from the front row, using Conspirator.

Maybe we won't have to kill her, just show her we are strong enough? plus if I doom her, we just have to survive 3 turns and she is dead.

The heroes spread out and surround the Founder, in a quick succession of swings and cleaves, Boomingham and Eric both manage to bring their blades down on the nimble fighter as Ezeran momentarily stuns her saving Petaldan from a rather nasty strike. Torald utters a spell in the language of the void, but Lady luck manages to dodge out of the way. Elphaba quickly steps out of reach as the Founder's daggers go whizzing past her ear. Germ munches on a mushroom and feels light on his feet but at the same time strangely vulnerable, the thought registers for only a moment before four daggers sink into his back downing the black knight in an instant.

OoC: Yeah, looks like a tough battle actually but we should keep up the attack for at least this round - she's blind and sealed. If we have to run after this we can, but there's no point wasting the advantage and hopefully she'll be weakened if we take her on again down the line.

By the way, while Elphaba is with us, let me mention that I think it's entirely unfair that she doesn't have a Healing Staff along...plus some to hand out. :tongue:

Torald, try as he may, still can't manage to pull of the hex correctly as Ezeran steps in and blasts the founder with a fireball to the face. Petaldan and Boomingham land tremendous strikes on Lady Luck sending her staggering. Eric takes the opportunity to down a mead as Elphaba swings and misses the founder. Skuld attempts to land a hit, but swiftly retreats as more daggers thrown wildly about barely miss hitting her.

OoC: Since my hits landed she should have a bit less health. Round 1 she should have been poisoned by 10 and bleeding by 10. Added to fragile, she should have lost 40 health that round. This round I hit again, adding another 20 total bleeding/poison damage. Again with fragile, she should have taken 80 damage at the end of the round. So she should be down 120 health, but with immunity to both bleeding and poison.

Boomingham watches with trepidation as Lady Luck's eyes grow focused again. "Alright, folks, decision time. We cutting and running, or bringing this lady down? You know which way I'm leaning, but..." his eyes stray from Eric to the younger members of the party and the one already unconscious body.

Torald messes around with the Tome a bit. Why won't you work, dammit, He mumbles. He tries to Doom the Lady, once again, back row. Screw it, Torald casts a Water bolt at Lady Luck.

May I ask why Ezeran fires a fireball? Wouldn't an attack with the Amethyst (dark) be more effective?
