[RC] 42039 - 24 Hours Race Car: instructions done

Recommended Posts

so, here it is, my 42039 ultimate edition. it keeps almost every function present on the original car, sans the engine. the build is not easily modde, so it is strong, but not easy to rework the original from prebuilt. i also added a few cosmetic mods

it uses:

  1. a pf battery (AA)
  2. *2 pf recievers (v2 or v1)
  3. *2 pf controllers
  4. 2 pf L motors
  5. a pf M motor
  6. a pf servo motor
  7. 3 pf lights

it drives, flashes lights, runs doors and engine cover, and steers.

*can use Sbrick.

Interesting concept, I'm just not feeling that "ultimate" vibe.

There are several holes in the bodywork, and the lights look (even) worse.

Looks like it drives fast though :)

Oh, sorry if the light look worse, I tried it make it better, though it may be worse to others. It does to fast though.

I edited the title.

One thing that strikes me is the cockpit. I tried my selfe to build an ultimate version. One solution for this is sbrick usage.

What I love about 42039 is the well designed place for the battery box.

Edit: typo

As I see, a pair of transparent 24116 panels should perfectly fits as headlight covers and improve the overall look:

Sadly, I have none . I will get the motorcycle eventually and get some with it.

Id like to see an active spoiler

I think that is against LMP1 regulation... Und the last one I saw beautifully done was in Formula 1 by Ferrari. I don't mean this drs nonsense.

Not allowed, I wanted it to only have official functions under the regulations.

Great MOD, but like @BrickbyBrickTechnic said - it isn't really "ultimate" (but it is close!)

Thanks, I guess I didn't work hard enough. I will probably do some reworking, but small areas.

That is against regulations, so it is not added.

Oh, are you trying to keep this realistic?

Sorry haha

I thought by ultimate you meant like the best Lego car in a 42039 body shell

Ultimate to me meant all functions of the original were motorized.

Ok, here it is: please tell if it works well for you, and pics pl

The m motor goes to where the official instructions show to put it.

The areas where I put the motors need to be cleared.

edit: new instructions

Nice job Aventador2004! I plan on getting this kit now, "sigh" for $150 and a mod somewhat like this. I was thanking it would be even better to just use a PF-x brick and Pico-leds. This would reduce the amount of motors needed to just ones for drive and steering. The turn signals would work when you use the servo.

Thanks! It is totally worth getting, for building, playability, and parts. Hope the pf-x brick works for you.

Welcome to eurobricks and enjoy it!

P.s. You may want to size down your lettering.
