If Symra does not make the Titan fragile. Nerwen goes next using scroll of fragile on the titan otherwise she uses the maracas to attack the Titan twice

Syrma successfully makes the Crystal Titan brittle again, but then the colossus stomps the ground, making the earth shake and tremble. The heroes go into one final, desperate offensive, and finally the Crystal Titan is shut down. Namyrra extracts a magic spirit out of the colossus to join her army of undead, while Johon takes care of the last zealous rockling.

THE BATTLE IS VICTORIOUS!

Namyrra, Thormanil and Arx gain three fifths of a level, Zaniah gains a fifth, Nerwen gains two quarters, while Johon, Monk Pretzel and Syrma all gain a quarter. The enemies drop the following loot:

Before the furious Zaniah had time to respond to Namyrra or Nerwen had a chance to look for the gems she tossed away, the ground below the heroes trembled once more and gave in. The party fell into an underground passage, all taking 30 damage due to the fall and the rocks that fell with them. Only dim starlight seeped from the hole above them.

I aimlessly wandered through the boggy forest of Ozmath, trying to get as much distance between me and the sorcerers, until I suddenly heard an oddly enchanting song of a bird. I crept closer and saw the little bird by a pond, whistling her strange tunes whilst drinking.

With my psychic abilities, I knew that she was no ordinary bird. And soon enough, she transformed into a pretty young girl in front of my eyes. I had coincidentally stumbled upon a Shapeshifter - as if guided by fate.

I was desperate, hungry and tired, so I did not hesitate to sink my tentacles into her brain and suck her very existence into me. And it felt amazing!

Alongside her youth and vitality, I absorbed her shapeshifting capabilities. I watched my new, beautiful face from the surface of the pond. The only thing I could not change were these deceitful eyes of mine. The poor Shapeshifter, I am afraid she did not survive my ravenous assault.

I did not pay her any more attention, though, which I probably should have. She wasn't the only resident of the forest, after all, for even back then, there were witches in Ozmath. Not the cackling, pot-stirring old hags they are nowadays, but wielders of the ancient, raw power of nature. And the most powerful of them was the Green Witch. She had discovered the body of the Shapeshifter and tracked me down with ease, for the trees were her eyes and ears. She saw right through my disguise, and it was she who named me "Eatress". and probably would have struck me down had I not proposed a trade. My life for one copy of the Pandemonicon.

"It was what the book wanted, oddly enough. The Pandemonicon never fully opened itself to me, for, much like myself, it yearned to find the most powerful people in the world. The book and I have always understood each other, well enough to keep our own secrets from each other. Well, the witch got the book, unleashed unspeakable horrors onto this world, and died by the hand of her own daughter, the only one who had the power to stop her mother's madness. But the legacy of the Green Witch lives to this day in the forests of Babeleth - both in her offspring and in the archdemon she released. If you ever happen to travel to the Lost Forest, Ulric-dear, be sure to say hi to Rosier for me - but of course you would be dead before you could utter a word, so it is best just not to go there. Tehehe!"

It seems to me that since everything the witch has thrown at us as far as enemies is concerned we've battled past with ease, she's seeking a less directly confrontational route. QM Note: You did, but most of it was absorbed by your defenses.

The fall had been long, and the heroes had no means to reach the hole. As Arx flew outside, he saw Zaniah leaving the ruins in haste. It seemed the knight had decided to brave the terrors of the night instead of lingering around.

Namyrra uses phoenix essence on Syrma.

The Star Elf was unfortunately too far gone for the essence to have any effect, but Namyrra could see her spirit linger nearby. The ghost then disappeared to the corridor on the right.

With no way to help the rest of his party back up, Arx began searching for any scattered gems that had been discarded during the fight.

Thormanil, meanwhile, rubbed the shoulder he had landed on. "Well, do we follow the ghost or the compass?"

I hope Nerwen will get her gems back. :look:

I search the ground with my Magnifying Glass in case any of Nerwen's gems fell with us, and then dig with my Magic Shovel.

Nerwen lays Symra in a pose of rest. Murmuring gently in her sylvan elf dialect.

She gently removes the elven robes from over the rest of her clothes and scroll case with all her scrolls, finally the picks up the consumables and wand that was in her hand.

It grieves me that your lover, whom you promised forever to, has abandoned you. May Galadrya not be so fickle and welcome you into her peace.
