"Once you're all done with that, Pretzel, come over to H8, Dyric and Namyrra, get right behind us. If there are enemies inside we need to rush 'em as soon as we can."

I go to H8 and use my Magnifying Glass on the door, if I see nothing too suspicious, I open it slowly.

Seeing nothing out of the ordinary in or on the door, you push it open.

Opening the door, you find yourself face-to-face with a trio of angry Pongcanis Spearmen, spears leveled at you. You see a fourth and a fifth spearman together with a pair of archers waiting behind them.

QM Note:

The doorway is not a space; H7, H8, I7, and I8 are all adjacent to each other. Heroes standing in H7 or H8 can move directly to I7 or I8. The doorframe does count as cover for anyone in those four spaces. However, if a hero is in H6 or H9, he'll have to move into H7 or H8 before passing through the doorway; he can't move diagonally into I7 or I8. (And if it wasn't clear, there's a wall between H6 and I6 and between H9 and I9.)

Namyrra, you release your pent-up frustration in the form of a massive arc spell that strikes all five of the spears, greatly reducing their Health. Atramor, your chaotic side takes ahold of you as you land a hit on the Pog. Monk Pretzel, you pop out and land a hit on one of the crossbowmen, which gives the other a chance to attack you. But, luckily, the doorframe provides just the extra bit of cover you need, and the enemy quarrel ricochets off harmlessly. Dyric, the Pongcanae are clearly fed up with your sharpshooting, and one of them finally succeeds in returning fire. Atramor, the remaining enemies appear to have a bit of confusion regarding how to get through the doorway, which results in their clustering around you and attacking in unison.

QM Note:

It seems as though Namyrra didn't do as much Damage as one would think she should, and it seems as though Atramor took more Damage than one would think he should; but I've triple-checked the math... :wacko:

Namyrra, finally getting the spell to work properly seems to have exhausted you, as you take a turn to catch your breath and regenerate some Ether. Atramor, the enemies close in around you, but you see a opening, feint to the Pog's left, and dash past him to the right, your kris slashing through one of the other enemies in the process. Monk Pretzel, you fly circles around the crossbowman, who tries in vain to shoot you as you batter the stone floor with your Shovel. Finally, the stone cracks, and you drop an Earth-elemental trap into the opening before flying back. Dyric, calm, cool, and collected, you take down another Pog. Monk Pretzel, as the enemies shuffle around to deal with Atramor, one of the spears ends up in front of you, and he stabs at you, but his spear hits the doorframe and only delivers a glancing hit.

I didn't know Chaotic Strike gave me the ability to teleport through enemies... :wacko::laugh:
