AVCampos Posted January 8 Posted January 8 It could be interesting, but what about mechanical functions? IIRC the Tumbler has a boat-style throttle, which hints at no gearbox (turbine used only to power electric motor?), so that leaves us with steering, suspension, and the "auxiliary" functions of movable cockpit, ailerons and pop-up weapons... unless they were able to somehow implement the motorcycle eject function. Now that would be neat. Quote
Timorzelorzworz Posted January 8 Posted January 8 What was shared on Reddit sounds like pure speculation and a wish list. Wouldn't call it a reliable source. Quote

It was clearly some AI generated piece of text copy-pasted from somewhere (maybe based on people's wishes expressed somewhere). Also, motorizing a 1:8 supercar with lego electronics would be clearly a pointless thing, even 1:10 cars can only move quite slowly with weak lego electronics; all playability would be lost. Quote

I'm a complete optimist, but looking at the current list for 2026 makes me shake my head in disbelieve. It's like a bad fever dream... a not even one of the cars is truly unique... At least Lego should have the decency to create a new car transporter for all these. Quote

It's filled with cars of various sizes, and there are even duplicate Dodge Charger models Quote

Stereo Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Ah, but what if it's the modern Dodge Chargers from Fast 5, that they used to move the bank vault? (I know, it's going to be Dom's from 1st movie) Quote

I read it properly, it was from a user. aI take things I don't believe with a grain of salt so people have the benefit of the doubt, I wanted to have motor upgrades again personally. I would rather have a car that moves and maybe skips gear teeth instead of the same old recycled basic functions. The V8 well, it's a McLaren P1 so meh Quote

The summer collection is missing many consecutive numbers. Will these numbers appear in the new product list? For example, 42230, 42233, 42235, 42237, 42238 Now we can only hope that these numbered products will be different Edited January 10 by Satisfied Quote
mpj Posted January 9 Posted January 9 If all the missing numbers are sets, then I think it is a record for Technic in terms of quantity of sets per year. Quote

Jockos Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I bet not all missing numbers will be sets, 7 at most. 1 recolour, 1 bike (1:5), 1 supercar (1:8), and 4 other (hopefully) non-car/bike machines. Quote
Timorzelorzworz Posted January 9 Posted January 9 With the Set 42123 McLaren Senna GTR, the first "Car Transporter Gang" member was released after the Car Transporter set itself. Exactly 100 numbers later we got the first 18+ Set in this car series with set 42223 Ford GT. That means absolutely nothing. Quote
AVCampos Posted January 9 Posted January 9 (edited) Actually, the first CTG member was released before the actual CT: 1 of January for 42093, 1 of August for 42098. Therefore the numbers mean even less. Edited January 9 by AVCampos Added conclusion Quote
Oh_Hi_Mao Posted January 9 Posted January 9 From polish website June: (NEW) 42229 Mitsubishi Eclipse from The Fast and the Furious – 827 pieces, PLN 279.99. Medium model. (NEW) 42231 Dodge Charger from The Fast and the Furious – 1516 pieces, PLN 659.99. 42239 Batmobile – model based on Christopher Nolan's films. Set for 18+. August: (NEW) 42234 Dodge Viper GTS R – 805 pieces, PLN 279.99. (NEW) 42235 Ferrari – 882 pieces, PLN 279.99. (NEW) 42236 Ford Mustang – 973 pieces, PLN 389.99. Another version of the Mustang. Quote
Dami Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Judging from prices, Charger is remake of 42111, and mustang is Control+, Batmobile may be interesting but the rest doesnt look very promising… Quote

It might be a similar case like with the Ford GT MKII. TLG charges more for the same 1:16 scaled car just because. Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Unless there are unrevealed sets, like for the October wave, this is a very bad lineup for old-school gearheads like me... Quote
