Minifigure Collectible Series 28 (possibly Animals) - The Guessing Game

You put out 12 that you think may’ll happen in series 28 - Animal Costumes - scheduled Jan 2026

 These are not minifigures you actually wanted but minifigures you think that can happen.

Gender doesn't count. If you write a policeman and in Series 25 we have a policewoman you however get 1 point. If you write a police person you do better.

If your guess is nearly right, you would be awarded 0,5 points. Like if you

to be specific. Please no "some sort of person with some sort of animal": that will give you 0 points.

This time it will be hard, because we don't know if they are going to theme it or not. Feel free to play to a non-themed series!

NOTE; This series might be a mixture of disfigures (animal costumes, anthromorphic character and nomral characters with animals as accessories as nothing confirmed at the moment.

These are great, unsurprisingly. I do think the likelihood of different crows and ravens is a stretch, but who knows!?

Man you've got some very unusual suits there with the Fossa and Coelocanth many people have no idea what those are and the Stoat is right there with them.  I like the list though.

- regular animal suits 

1) beaver suit with wood

2) kangaroo suit with boxing gloves

3) crocodile suit with recolored fish

4) sheep suit with a woolen vest on and a witty torso beneath that

5) pigeon suit with two pigeons

6) hercules beetle with greenery

7) dolphin suit with ball

8) walrus suit with fabuland torso and tile with set 3673

9) orang utan suit with a note book to study behaviour

10) brachiosaur suit with long neck 

11) hippo costume with vegetables

12) bobtail costume with blow dryer

But in case it is a marvel animal costume suit series, then these are my guesses

- marvel animal costume suits:

There are some leaked images <Reddit> showing two new (blank) animal masks - so the assumption is that they are from this series 🐨🐱

It was actually confirmed there, that they would be from this series, though the pictures got removed.

Do we really think that all 12 will be regular people in animal costumes? This involves 12 animal costume head moulds. We have seen leaks for two new ones (cat and koala). Knowing Lego, I would not be surprised that these are the only new ones. The rest of the 10 will either re-use animal costume heads, or may not even be wearing animal costumes but may just have references to something related to animals (a veterinarian or zookeeper, maybe). Perhaps they might even reuse humanoid animal moulds from in house themes like Ninjago?

Personally I don’t think it’s 12 animal costumes, but others seem to have run with that assumption. So far none of the in-house themed series (Monsters, Party, Space) have been very tightly defined or realised, so I see no reason to assume ‘Animals’ will be. If nothing else, they usually try and include figures that appeal to a wide variety of themes & collectors, and though they are popular, I can’t see fans of Space, Castle, Pirates etc having much use for animal costumes.

Okay - I think I’m ready. Here’s my list based on assumptions that Cat & Koala mask are included, and that the “Animals” theme is not specifically animal costumes:

1 Cat costume, with recoloured mouse from S18 🐭

2 Koala costume with recoloured koala 🐨

3 Peacock costume, reusing existing ‘wing’ arm pieces, and turkey tail, new headpiece

4 Kelpie, mermaid tail, moulded head (similar to Unicorn that came with Vidiyo and BAM) with long flowing mane

5 Anubis

6 Sorceress with raven 🐦‍⬛

7 Park Ranger and red fox 🦊

8 Victorian naturalist (Charles Darwin tribute) and new dodo mould 🦤

9 Shepherd with lamb and new border collie mould 🐶

10 Lumberjill with brick-built chainsaw, and new beaver mould 🦫

11 Bush vet with new kangaroo mould 🦘

12 Highland cow fan, ginger haired kid with new hat/hair piece with cow horns, and with new Highland calf mould 🐮

 

It will be no surprise that what I *really* want from this series is as many useable new animal moulds and variants as possible, but I have tried to remain measured in my guesses. So I have only gone for a minimal of ten new moulds (of which five are animals) and five reused/recoloured animals. 😝
